This is for the gas station - not the mini mart. Gas is pretty affordable, but the patrons here suck (pardon my language). ): Literally, everyone takes their sweet time, standing around doing nothing, taking up stalls or just talking story instead of gassing up. It's not a very efficient gas station. Long lines, only one way lanes and half the stalls are out of order. Would not recommend, EVEN if military. Love the convenience! They definitely carry your daily living essentials like milk, eggs, toothpaste, medicine, and toilet paper. Happy hour essentials: beer, chips, salsa, & Solo cups. Pay day essentials: Navy Fed & Bank of Hawaii ATM's. Road trip essentials: gas, ice, snacks, magazines, and a pack of ciggies. Movie night essentials: ice cream, popcorn, candy and RedBox movie rentals! Birthday essentials: balloons and gift cards. Feminine essentials: okay you get the idea. ;-) And more!! M-F hours of operation are 0600-2300. S-S hours 0700-2300. Need gas? Be sure to walk up to the camera to call for an attendant and show your ID before you pump. Eh, fuel prices are so cheap right now so they will call you out on the loud speaker if you don't prove your privilege, ah! You can even pump air into your tires or vacuum your vehicle, too. Masks are required as of April 8th. That's for everyone that wants to go into the store. I have been going to this store for many years. Can't beat the convenience and of course the gas prices. Military ID required for any purchases. It's a sizable store with home, car, garden and pet supplies. Plenty of canned goods, snacks, refrigerated items, beer, some fresh produce, more snacks, water, pretty much whatever you need. Staff are always friendly and efficient. First off, you need a military ID here. Great place to get what you need like the military version of 7-11. But at least it's tax free. They have all the pogey bait you need. Monster drinks. chips, candy, ice cream, musubi, icee machine, tobacco and etc. And of course gas. Near the airport and imbedded in the navy housing. It's like a secret spot. Check it out. read more

I think of all the NEX mini-marts on Oahu, I like this one the best. I used to come here as child, and it was okay. I think over the years, they have fixed it up a bit and it seems to have a better stock now that I'm an adult. Or maybe I can just appreciate it more. Of course you have to have a military privileges aka an ID to shop here. Think of this as a 7-11 on steroids. Or the NEX on a smaller scale. Prices will be the same as the NEX. They have your alcohol/non-alcoholic beverages. Sodas are located in the front and the back corner of the store. You have balloons for sale (random but true), 2 ATMS (NCFU and BOH), snacks, produce (not much really), household items, pretty much anything you might need in a pinch situation, you will likely find it here. They have a Redbox outside of the store as well as a gas station. Gas prices are the same as the NEX which is comparable to Costco. This place is like a 7-11 with a gas station. That being said, I believe this place deserve it's four stars for its service and the gas rates. The man who works outside at the pumping station (Diego) is awesome. I love talking with him as I fill up my tank; which takes an unbelievably long time since the air release in the gas tank is broken. When you go inside, they have things here you would normally find in a 7-11. Plus, since this is a military installation, duty free!! The service inside is a little lazy. They have gotten better over the years, but they could get a little better. This is the main reason why they lost their perfect score. I have been coming to this place over the years due to their (often only a penny off of Costco gas) prices. Overall, this place is a solid four star establishment. I came in here to get my favorite drinks and chips. It's a convenient location because my house is nearby. Sometimes it can be too busy here and there is no AC so imagine a bunch of people in the same place where it's like 80 degrees outside. Kinda miserable. But I will say that the customer service is not bad. There is a younger redheaded employee that I think is cute. Although they seem to be short staffed. I don't stay long anyway. Usually I'm in and then gone in 5 minutes. Not bad. read more

Warning- This is only for military! It would've been very helpful to know that ahead of time before going! My gas was below empty and I was scrambling to find a gas station and Yelp suggested this place. Once I pulled up, the fine print under the NEX sign said for military patrons only. I ended up finding a sweet pair of older men who helped me with my urgent need for gas. Don't waste your time with this place if you aren't military! read more

I have to say that this is a pretty good mini mart as far as mini marts go. The only things that I took a star off for was the old looking vegetables, the lack of a walk in cooler and a scarce supply of the booze I drink. Other than that it's got pretty much everything you could need and save yourself a trip to the NEX. read more

Very convenient and has most daily items you may need for a quick run in and buy. There are some shoppers that buy shopping cart fulls of crap and then end up holding the line up. Sometimes the employees are rude and a few of them are extremely unhelpful. read more

I'm sure this is an amazing place, if you're in the military. I guess I should have known driving through the housing. But, it does not clearly state that anywhere obvious for anyone to know. They accepted out debit card at the pump, and it did not say anything about having to show military ID before we started pumping gas. Lousy Coffee, Expensive Sandwiches This is a decent Navy minimart but the coffee is often old and thick. I go there to get a cup a Joe and fill the car, usually about 11:00am. Two of the last 3 times I got the last drops from the large container and it was really thick but I bought it anyway. I only got a half cup today, but the store manager, Pearly, still charged me for a small cup. She did ask me to wait while they made a new pot. I couldn't.. When I use my own cup, I still get charged the full price, too, no matter how old and lousy the coffee is. OK, I have an addiction, but I'd still like to get what I'm paying for, and I'm not. Other places give me a break when I use my own cup, and nearly every other place has consistently fresher coffee. One other gripe: the sandwiches are way too expensive. $6 bucks for a smashed sandwich that looks like it was made in a garage. read more
