The seating was uncomfortable and the long wait for our food didn't help. I think the clincher for the one star rating was we didn't realize they automatically put a tip on the bill. We didn't feel they deserved a tip but apparently they did... They also add a 3% credit card charge.... [I just read the owners reply...wow!!! I am sorry you had another unhappy customer but that wasn't us. We didn't say anything while we were in the restaurant and we didn't order a well done hamburger. So sorry you had another unhappy customer.

Simply outstanding!…read more In the post-covid world we're told to accept mediocre service, lesser food taste/quality, smaller food portions and higher prices. And if you dare question any of the above, you're told to shut up, suck it up... and be thankful for what you got! The Prodigal Son is a throwback to the best of pre-Covid times: Fantastic beer! What a cute place! We stopped for lunch on our road trip from Seattle, WA to Twin Falls, ID. It was…read morepretty busy but we were still seated right away. The tables have paper on them and they give you crayons to draw with while you wait. I ordered the grilled turkey and bacon sandwich with onion rings and ranch. The sandwich was good but the star of the show was the onion rings and ranch. They were some of the best I've ever had. Their system went down as we were getting ready to check out so they couldn't take cash, only cards. It took a while to get cashed out but overall we had a great experience. I would definitely stop in again.

Was unfortunate did not continue receiving service from her; but she was busy. Went in for dinner from out of town. Initially went well, was warmly welcomed. After that, felt rushed, then ignored when needing more time to finish helping my kid figure out what they wanted; I didn't get a chance to figure my own meal yet. Listened to another table specifically asked if the'd like dessert. Eventually we were asked "can I get you anything else?" Was still charged for a salad that was never received, had it removed from the bill. Hopefully other out of towners can receive better food and service.

Looks like the new owners have been getting a lot of backlashing for changes made that we were aware of going in. We were greeted right away with a smile, seated and orders taken very quickly. Food was great, drinks were great! There was a misunderstanding between the staff and the owner regarding where the owner had seated us in the restaurant which was cleared up quickly and even resolved by the owner above and beyond what was expected! We will absolutely be back to visit in the future, and I will support them in the new venture, wishing success, you all should too! PS-Sometimes change is good! :)

So, we arrived to an almost empty place, with lots of employees sitting around. I asked if they were showing the game- "who's playing " she asked. We arrived thirty minutes early for our 1:30 reservation, and the very nice hostess greeted us warmly and sat us within five minutes. The table was in the back a bit, and it felt warm. I asked the Manager, Denesh, if we could move to a waiting list for the bar area as it felt cooler. He was so gracious and asked if the booth by the door was okay. He was excellent. I had the Halibut Fish & Chips and it was so good. I feel there were too many fries on all of our plates as no one could finish them. The Halibut was also generous and so flavorful, and the others enjoyed the Chicken Tenders as well. It was so nice that Rebecca, a server, recognized us and gave us all a big hug. She was not our server, and I can't recall our server's name. She was excellent also. We will be back next year and I will ask for Rebecca.

The Saddle Restaurant Pendleton, Oregon…read more Being a small restaurant, it was surprisingly good. We stopped in for dinner while traveling through. I had a petite sirloin, with 2 over medium eggs , they even had gluten free toast, (at an extra charge, but nice they had it,) it was all perfectly prepared! My husband, had a western omelette with hash browns. The plate presentation was nicely done. He had requested the veggies inside to be cooked before placing them inside the omelette and they did but needed longer because the green peppers were still a bit undercooked. He did feel that his omelette and the hash browns needed more salt while cooking them in order to bring out their flavor. Our waitress was nice, accommodating and efficient. The young lady at the front probably could have been a bit more people, person friendly. Not that she was rude, it was just absolutely no eye contact when she spoke to you, especially when we paid our tab. It is always nice to have a "How was your dinner"? Or how about, "Thanks for coming in"! Other then that, if we lived here, we would certainly be a return customer.
