I had them put turf into my backyard and ultimately it got done. However, it took about 8 weeks from initial appointment until the final visit. Pros: -They ultimately made it right and fixed the mistake. It took a lot of reaching out until finally I got the owner onto a text conversation with the sales guy. -I was offered about 20% off for 8 weeks of trouble, and the owner would not budge on offering anything more. I accepted just to get this done with. Cons: -The initial crew ended up cutting the turf about 8 inches too short so the put a piece to cover the gap. However, they didn't coat it all the way so there was a visible gap. -I asked for them to make sure to preserve the irrigation in the backyard but after they installed it, it didn't work anymore. They were eventually able to fix it after 3 trips. -I accepted their higher price because they had a good reputation but the end result did not reflect that. Ultimately, if I could do it again, I would have chosen a different company. They are somewhat pricy but you don't quite get the experience you'd hope for with that price. Their sales team is very convincing though. If they send an experienced crew, then you're probably fine, but if they send the crew that initially came, I'd check the work very carefully. read more

I should have left this review a while ago but I wanted to make sure all my issues were addressed first. Initial installation went well however months later we noticed water building up in certain areas of the turf. We didn't notice earlier due to all the rain we had been getting right after installation earlier this year. Had to call the office multiple times before I got a response. Team came out to look and the original installation team had in fact punctured our sprinkler pipes and our water had been running for months which would explain our high water bill. Btw no apology was given or solution to remedy. The crew that came out for the water was horrendous. Swearing at each other and screaming about peeing in the truck. I have 3 kids in the house hearing all this. Fast forward a couple months and my turf is now splitting from mushrooms growing underneath. I call multiple times to get someone out to fix it. Crew finally comes out and the quality of the fix was horrible. See pictures. They left without communication and left everything open and unlocked. I had to call again multiple times and ask for the owner. Waited a week for him to call and he never did so I had to call again. Mike called me back from another job we spoke briefly and he asked for a video. He called me again while I was in a meeting so I had to return his call. When he answered he was in a very loud restaurant where I told him I couldn't hear him. At this point I am very irritated that this company has treated me like garbage and the owner can't even step out of a restaurant to have a quick discussion with me. I was told he would call me back 6 days later I reached out again. Crew came today to fix the issue. So far the fix looks ok but we shall see. I was also offered a free cleaning by Joey which didn't happen today. I have gotten promised a lot from this company that never happens. Crews are late, communication is awful and there doesn't seem to be any repercussions of poor behavior or treatment of customers. If I could do this all over again I would choose another company. read more

I don't post many reviews but after this experience I felt I should. This could not have been a smoother process. I reached out to Dave Fosmire from Halo Turf and he was at my house and on time for our scheduled appointment within 48 hours. He looked over the area I wanted turf installed, measured it and listened to my concerns and drainage issues. He talked about adding some additional drains in some low spots to tie into my main drainage system and also tying in my downspout from my rain gutters. He then proceeded to bring out like a dozen different samples of turf. 4 or 5 different grades of turf and each with 3 different colors. I felt no up selling pressure, just a discussion about pros and cons. Went over a solution to reduce pet odors, etc. Dave was there for about an hour and left some samples for me to show my wife. About 3 hours later I had a few quote options emailed to me and I signed the contract the next morning and an install was set for a week and a half later. On the install date, Manuel and his crew of about 5 people showed up around 7:30 am and they were completely done by 3:30. I was also happy to see Dave at my house from start to finish thru-out the day. They cleaned everything up and hosed down the area. My wife (who was kind of against the whole turf thing) came home from work and said "wow, that looks really nice". I purposely waited to write this until after the big storms hit. I am in Chino Hills and after these big storms for 5 out of the last 6 days with lots of rain and hail I can happily say I have no drainage issues and the turf looks just as good as it did after install! I feel I got a great value, they did a great job and couldn't be happier with the whole sales process. My next-door neighbors liked the look of my turf so much, they will be having an install at their house in a couple weeks. Always Green Turf did an outstanding job with my backyard. They removed 675 sq ft of dead grass and replaced it with artificial turf; and it looks amazing. We went with the Tiger Turf Everglade in Olive color, which looks about as close to real grass as you can expect... and looks far more realistic / higher quality that all the other turf we see in front yards around the neighborhood.
