5 Diamond Award on the total Project from Purchase, Installation and follow up! 3 hard working men did an Outstanding job of installing Cypress Point 70oz with Microban turf. They also involved me with all aspects of the installation, which I appriciated! Their work on Demo, Removal, Haul Away and Installtion was beyond Superior. The Manager of the project was David Tino who gave me the quote and explained all aspects of the installation. David was fantasic on explaining the many turf options to fit my needs. Go with the Best Turf offered and in my opinion that would be Smart Turt. Their Turf was superior to 2 other companies I received quotes from and at a lower price! I'm a Very Happy Purchaser. Thank You David and Crew of 3. read more

I went into my engagement with high hopes, based mostly on the quality of their website and some of the YouTube videos I watched of the installs. Ordering from the website was easy and clear. That's about the only positive thing I can say: 1. The delivery process was completely opaque. I tried calling the numbers on the emails I received to get a delivery date. First I went to someone's voicemail. The second number was no longer in service. Then some guy, who'd apparently been monitoring the voicemail, called and told me he'd get right back to me about a delivery date. He also told me that the delivery company would call me the day before, and if I didn't answer or couldn't be there for the delivery, they would cancel everything. That's the last I heard from anyone. 2. Weeks later, I tried emailing their customer service again and got Autumn Scoggins of Catalina Home Customer Support (apparently the distributor of SmartTurf), who told me she'd track down my order. I didn't hear back from here, but did get an all from the delivery company saying they'd be there the next day. Well, okay. 3. The delivery driver showed up in a full-sized semi and refused to try to get it to my driveway. We had to tug the 300 lb roll of turf out of the truck by hand and then drag it a half block to my home. Then return to the truck and load all the infill and Air Drain tiles into my car for transport. 4. On unrolling the turf, we discovered that it was sliced completely across the roll in one place -- not completely but we couldn't install it that way. We had to purchase a patch kit and repair the cut prior to install. Also, 2 of the Air Drain tiles we so damaged they were not usable. I reached out again to Autumn at Catalina, who appeared very concerned and said she'd work with the company to see about a partial refund. A month later, Autumn hasn't returned emails. Since replacing the turf would have been a complete nightmare, we decided to patch the defective roll and install it anyway. The product seems pretty good -- but I don't think we'll ever do business with Smart Turf or Catalina Home again. Ghosted by Catalina and SmartTurf. read more

I've researched them all from Temu to Lux...but it's SmartTurf that scores the triple-double. First, The customer service I had from initial phone contact to store visit was fast & focused. Robert was the Turf pro who provided comprehensive answers. He was a good listener who can get you in-n-out, and on the job fast. Second, the top quality and choice were a big plus, but 'the show stopper' triple-double award goes to pricing that's virtually unbeatable. Yup, you save time and money...but you leave the showroom thinking"i'll use SmartTurf again" read more

Right from the beginning Smart Turf did an incredible job. David was super responsive and did exactly what he said was going to do. Showed up on time, explained the process, provided the bid within a day or two. His product was superior to two other companies and more reasonable. On the day of the installation he and his crew of 4 guys showed up on time and started work right away. They completed the entire project of about 650 feet within a day which included some irrigation rework. The crew was nice and left my yard clean and free from debris. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for this type of project. read more

We have 2 small dogs, had some yellow spots from them & are grass had been taken over by crab grass for the Third time after replacing it every couple years the last few years, I was done. So I called a couple companies wanting to get microban technology & turf that would be good for the dogs, drain well & look good. David was amazing, I liked his product over the other products we saw. He was knowledgeable, offered things not offered by the other company. We added gopher barrier since we had had gophers in the past, so loved that too. Scheduled them the next week, Adrian & the team that did the install were awesome & had great service. We went with their pet product that drains more than other turfs and are loving it. Dogs love it too. Very easy clean up. Definitely recommend Smart Turf & David and his team! read more

I first contacted Smart Turf about getting a quote on October 18th. Within a few days, measurements were taken and a quote was given. I checked 3 other companies and Smart Turf had the most natural looking turf and my daughter tested it by doing cartwheels on the samples. We chose the turf that was most comfortable on her hand. We ran into some obstacles with replacing our fence before I could get the turf installed but once I called David to let him know we were ready, he and his team were there the following week and had the turf installed in ONE day! We had such a great experience with Smart Turf! I can't wait to get our back yard done. Thank you David and Smart Turf for all your help! read more

It took me a long time to bring myself to install artificial surface in my backyard. I was very anxious about this all the way through the installation. I explained to David on my first visit to the showroom, I wanted something that looked so much like real grass that my guests would have to lay on it to tell it was artificial. We installed "Troon" which is the longest cut Smart Turf carries, and I must say, that it looks real. The color is rich and the texture is thick. I think the thing I like most about it is how clean it is. The service was great from my first visit to the sales call through the installation. We changed our mind on the original coverage and the Jake made a second trip out immediately to remeasure. We changed the installation date and the new date was graciously accommodated. The installation went smoothly and it was interesting to watch the precision in which the turf was "manicured" around our stone steps. I have already recommended smart turf to others who I know are considering transitioning from natural to artificial turf. read more

So we decided to get artificial grass for our home and we began to do some research online. I came across the folks at Smart Turf and went to the showroom where I was introduced to their outstanding line-up of turf. We selected on that we felt really looked natural. The price was not the cheapest that we looked at the the product was far superior. So we had the grass installed. They did our yard in ONE day! That is they tore out the old grass, regraded the area, put down gravel stuff, laid out the new grass, put in the fill and had the place looking brand-new. Great product, super fast and efficient crew - cleaned up after. Fantastic experience. We installed about 700 square feet at our house. So I liked them so much I bought another 8000 square feet for our church. The church job took more than one day ... it took 4! Same great product, great crew, great experience. If you are looking for artificial turf ... look no further. This is the place to go. read more

Had an amazing experience with Smart Turf. Rene came out to look at our backyard to give us a quote. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and a pleasure overall. He showed us different options and the way it's set up in the van is super cool and professional!! The installation took one day! It transformed our backyard and it looks so amazing! My husband and I are so happy with how everything came out. We contemplated getting turf for a year and I'm so happy we finally decided to do it and with such a great company! We love our turf!!! We had our backyard done just recently because our grass was dead, and our dog did not like playing in the yard because of the dry dead grass. Now that the turf is installed, he loves playing and lounging in the yard but even more so on the grass. He lays on it all the time. When he has a doggy play date we no longer have to worry about the dirt. This is a win-win situation on so many levels. The installation was quick and easy for our small yard. The team worked until the job was done. They cleaned up our yard and driveway before they left, leaving nothing behind. Craig was awesome as well. He answered any questions before, during and after the installation. Craig also had a good response time and follow through. We chose Smart Turf for many reasons, they were professional, the manufacturer, Made in the USA, responsive and local. We are happy with our decision to go with Smart Turf... Don't hesitate, have them do your yard! read more

Great Company to work with! Tried to get other estimates and mostly dealt with others that didn't show up, call back or had substandard products. I did receive a couple of quotes prior to receiving one from Smart Turf but they didn't compare with Smart Turf. I was very fortunate to get a call from Travis from Smart Turf. He returned every call, showed up right on time and provided us with a prompt quote. He measured, answered all of our questions and was very professional and pleasant. He showed us samples of the highest quality and gave us a great price. He was very communicative throughout the process from beginning to end. Everyone I spoke to within the Company was very friendly, helpful and professional. The installers were awesome! Showed up at 7AM and were completely done by 1 PM (500 sq. ft). They removed the old ugly grass and 3-4 inches of soil, replaced it with the crushed gravel and installed the new beautiful Pacific Dunes turf. They were very meticulous with the cuts, seams and setting in the edges. They thoroughly cleaned up everything and left the street and yard as it was. I can't say enough positive things about this experience. I wish every Company was this well run. I wouldn't go with any one else. read more

After watching tons of YouTube videos on DIY turf installation I decided without a doubt I was going to choose Smart Turf as my turf. Based on other DIY'ers reviews on the quality and the microban aspects of Smart Turf I logged onto my computer once again to order Smart Turf and realized they were located 5 miles from my house....SCORE! The guys at Smart Turf went above and beyond to help me out...gave me some tips, a short tutorial on joining seams and sent me on my way. I purchased "Pine Valley" for my small project and am super happy with the way it turned out. I finished the install yesterday and have already had a handful of neighbors stop by and compliment the look of the smart turf, ask questions, etc. Still more work to do with pavers and plants but the turf looks great! Thanks Smart Turf! Will definitely pass along to anyone else looking to install turf. Didn't catch your names when I was there but the guys at the Santa Ana location were awesome. read more

This review is not about their work or quality of grass but about their business. I called them to set up an appointment and had to call multiple times. Messages were left and after five days received a callback. He said he will give contact information to his regional salesperson "Rosevelt" and the guy will call me next day. Eight days have gone by and no calls. If this business is unreliable in contacting potential customers, one can only imagine what will happen after they have taken our money and their is a problem later on. I am going with their competitor and a more customer friendly company. read more

Couldn't be happier with how our turf and putting green turned out. I live in Pasadena and we completely did our entire front yard with new hard and soft cape. Decided on turf because grass is so much work and always having issues with sprinklers and also wanted to save on water. Neighbor said she'd installed Smart Turf at her last house and recommended them. I got samples of different types of turf, Jake came out and gave me a formal estimate and a week later the installers came. I'd had a little turf for a dog run in the back but I wanted it done right and so wanted to hire pros. These guys were pros. At first I thought the quote was a little pricey but then I saw all that went into it and it was totally worth it. The installers is a family owned company (I think there were 7 or 8 installers) and they were really experienced and addressed all of my concerns and ultimately, the project turned out great. Wife was a little hesitant but is now completely happy with how everything turned out. read more

We are currently enjoying our newly installed artificial grass from Smart Turf. Not knowing anything about turf and needing something for the backyard suitable for our two small dogs, the Smart Turf team took us through the process with very little stress. Working with Jake and Dave, they are both very responsive and patient with all of our questions. I also recommend going to the Smart Turf store in Santa Ana where their products are installed and on display. I had the pleasure of speaking with Bob there who further helped me understand a lot about the self-research I did. On the day of the install, the crew led by Adrian were very polite and efficient. You can be like me and watch all the install videos you want but, watching these guys live was extremely cool. They are really excellent at their jobs. The information and choices can be overwhelming, but the Smart Turf team was very professional, never pushy, and never tried to upsell or talk me into something I did not need. In fact, I was actually talked out of something I was thinking about getting! We had pleasant experiences with several companies and evaluated several quotes. In the end we decided Smart Turf had the best combination of product, competitive pricing, and service. read more

I highly recommend Smart Turf for your turf installation project. We got quotes from multiple vendors and Smart Turf offered a high quality product for a reasonable price. From when I requested an estimate to completion of install the team at Smart Turf was very professional and responsive. Jake was the representative that came to quote us and he was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We did not have a large job (approx. 200 sq ft.) so on install day the crew were here on time and were done with the installation within a few hours. The quality of the turf, and the installation is obvious. We are very happy with their work and suggest you work with them for your project. read more

When we decided we wanted to do artificial turf, a friend recommended Smart Turf. We went to the showroom and picked what we wanted. They came out and measured we set schedules and had to change install a couple of times due to us not being ready. But the day came for install and they went to work. I think I counted 11 people at one time getting our front and back yard prepared. It was a 2 day process but when finished was great. It was wonderful working with Jake and David who both responded to our calls and questions promptly. We would highly reccomend using Smart Turf. I got 3 or 4 estimates for my small backyard. Many people had minimums or suggested major work that I couldn't afford, and didn't really want. Craig had good and practical ideas, was able to adjust the quote after I decided I needed some concrete demo'd and helped me get it done under my budgeted amount! He was the only one to show me their product and give a sample, and even though I had to research some to figure out I needed the nontoxic infill, it was a simple swap on the estimate. The team was fast at the install, did what I asked for the finishing touches, and finally made it a livable backyard. Craig also helped me understand the slope issue after installing for how to care for it, help it drain, and make sure it doesn't melt from the bbq! David also was understanding about my payment needs and overall a 10 out of 10 for this company! read more

David and the Smart Turf crew were great. I highly recommend their services. They are efficient, affordable, and reliable.

After getting multiple quotes on changing out our weeded grass into turf, I quickly realized how much stone companies will try to take advantage of people. Luckily I reached out to Smart Turf and Rene came out to take measurements. It was refreshing to not sit through another 30-40 minute staged sales pitch. The way he conducted himself and his transparency made the choice easy, along with the value and quality of product. It's been 1 week and we are more than satisfied with the results. We were interested in replacing the old turf in our yard with something pet friendly and expanding the turf area. I requested a quote with Smart Turf via Yelp and was connected with Travis who came to our house for a free estimate. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He had different samples in his truck and gave recommendations based on what we were looking for. When I had additional questions Travis always answered them in a timely manner. We received quotes from other vendors and ultimately decided to go with Smart Turf based on their competitive pricing and 15 year warranty. We also liked that the turf we selected was treated with Microban. The project was completed in less than a day and they did an awesome job. We are so pleased with the new turf and how it came out.
