Linda was thorough with every nook and cranny of all the knots I didn't even know I had in my back. I just went in asking for a shoulder massage but I'm glad I ended up choosing the back massage. Feeling all of the knots and stiffness made me realize how badly I let my self care go. As she was working my back, I could literally feel my body being able to breathe again. Everything was confirmed and our appt was set. Today, we get a call saying we're late to our 11:15 appt. We said our appt was at 5, but the person we spoke with told us they close at 5:30 today. Weird because I was never told that on the phone yesterday. I call the spa and get placed on hold for over 5 mins. Hang up, call again, get hung up on. Call back and finally speak to someone. They said we'd need to be there by 4/4:30pm and I said there's no way. Our appt was at 5 and that's what we planned on. I said nowhere on the website does it say they close at 5:30 today nor was I told that yesterday. She said the owner, Wendy, decided today to close at 5:30 because of Halloween. I said, ok that's weird they decided to wake up today and close at 5:30. As if Halloween suddenly sprung up on us. I asked who I spoke with yesterday and she said it was the other owner, Jeff. Why are the two owners on different pages? One owner confirms my appt one day, then next day get a call to say we're late to our appt at a time I didn't ask for. And then ask us to come in by 4/4:30, which wouldn't even be enough time for an hr massage, 30 minute scalp massage and hr of amenities. On top of that I'm sure we would've been rushed the entire time we'd be there. We came here once and we enjoyed our massages that much that we wanted to come back again. Even if it's almost an hour drive. But based on customer service, lack of communication and lack of respect from owners, we won't be coming here again. Not worth my time, drive and money when they don't care about their customers.

It's so peaceful, clean, and calming. I had also tried the red light therapy on a prior trip and that was pretty cool. It's an unexpected find up the stairs across from the Stubborn Mule in the Glendora Village. Easy to miss, but now they have the street side suite so you can see their balcony when visiting Rev'd Up Coffee across the way. See what I did there... our Village in G-town is pretty great. Visit and grab your coffee, go to the spa, meet a friend for dinner at Stubborn Mule, Luca Bella, Sushi n I or various other spots in the Village. The staff was so friendly and nice - they gave me entries for door prizes and I won two! I told them to pick again on the second as it felt greedy. But I got a free facial I'll give to Gwen. Others won a free massage, and more. You can tell that the team at Mags cares a lot about what they do. They're very knowledgeable and have an awesome suite of services - for teens and adults - women and men. My view has changed on spas.
