Hidden gem! Hands down the best spa around. Hey, I haven't been one for spa treatments. Nothing against them just never been something I've done. Of course, a great massage is nice but those have mostly been on vacation or due to need. I was invited, as was any guest, to Mags Open House event last night. I've also been prior to buy product and gift cards for my wife and others. I decided to go as my fam was all off at Christmas events so I figured I'd grab some gifts and see if anyone else I knew would be there - Glendora is a 'small town'. Maggie (Mags) welcomed me and helped me pick out gifts for Gwen and one of our girls. She also suggested a B12 shot for me while I was there. So I thought, why not? When in Rome. I was so impressed with the new extension - the suite across from their original main location that I had to grab some pics to share. I love the colors and general atmosphere. It's so peaceful, clean, and calming. I had also tried the red light therapy on a prior trip and that was pretty cool. I've got a buddy who goes for the IV treatment on schedule and my fam has loved the facials and massages. Mags and her team are all top notch! It's an unexpected find up the stairs across from the Stubborn Mule in the Glendora Village. Easy to miss, but now they have the street side suite so you can see their balcony when visiting Rev'd Up Coffee across the way. See what I did there... our Village in G-town is pretty great. Visit and grab your coffee, go to the spa, meet a friend for dinner at Stubborn Mule, Luca Bella, Sushi n I or various other spots in the Village. The staff was so friendly and nice - they gave me entries for door prizes and I won two! I told them to pick again on the second as it felt greedy. But I got a free facial I'll give to Gwen. Others won a free massage, and more. You can tell that the team at Mags cares a lot about what they do. They're very knowledgeable and have an awesome suite of services - for teens and adults - women and men. My view has changed on spas. It's not a luxury - although Mags makes it feel that way, it's self-care that's vital to your health and well being. read more

I tried the Red Light Therapy Bed for the first time today. I left feeling energized yet tranquil. The ultimate "proof" of its healing ability came later this evening. I have been a dance my entire life (starting at age 3) My knees have suffered to say the least. Now that I'm in my late 40's they "click" and "pop" and generally hurt when I participate in my cardio barre class once a week. Today was very different! When I first met Maggie, I just knew that she was to be my makeup artist. I had less than 3 months before my wedding when I first contacted her so the trial was free. I didn't have anything specific picked out but from our conversation, she managed to select the perfect look on the first try. Maggie is the perfect combination of professional and super friendly. She knows how to get the job done and is such a joy to be around. I have eczema on my face and the makeup she uses actually calmed my breakout by the next day, which has never happened before. The morning of my wedding, she was early to arrive and was ready to go. My wedding was in my mother's house and she was flexible with limited space. She was also flexible when I decided last minute to change my lipstick color to bright red, instead of nude. Maggie went out of her way to make sure that I had enough touch-up makeup to last through the night (thank you again for that, Maggie. That was so awesome of you!). She also did the makeup for 4 bridesmaids and 2 mothers... every single one of them couldn't believe how stunning they looked. When you look at Maggie's work, it really speaks for itself! I wanted a very glamorous look for my wedding, and Maggie more than delivered! Throughout the process of working with her, she was always very kind, enthusiastic, organized and responsive. Most importantly, she presents as very confident in her ability! On the day of our wedding, she came in with her team and got to work straight away as we had 12 people getting hair and makeup done. I had been doing the same makeup routine since high school... and I graduated more than 20 years ago. I don't wear a lot of makeup and it's not something I want to spend a lot of time on. It was out of character for me, but I decided to have Mags give me a tutorial on how to do my make up. She was a plethora of info geared specifically to my needs. She told me about good, inexpensive brands of makeup to supplement what I already had. At the end of the session I was able to do my own make up in 5 minutes using only the make up I already had, and somehow it looked so much better, just because of what I'd learned from Maggie! Plus it was a lot of fun spending time with Maggie! This lesson was a great investment. Because of Maggie's information and direction I'll save a lot of money buying only the make up that I will actually use and what works for me.
