We had our water heater replaced by TM. It is a newer version and we thought it wasn't working…read more They came out to fix it, and it turned out to be operator error. ‍ We felt pretty dumb, but they were nice about it. Then, as we were here enjoying our cabin, we found a leak coming from under the kitchen cabinets. They couldn't make it out again that day, but came the next morning. Fixed a connection. Before the guy left, we found water on the floor in the bathroom. Turned our that the tube in the post thing, in the tank, was too short and would flip out, and be like a water wiggle inside the tank! He changed it to a longer one, we paid him and he left. Then, we didn't have much water coming from the kitchen sink. Called TM again, and they told us over the phone to clean out the tip of the faucet - the aerator. ‍ We now know more about plumbing, and hope we can go a few years before we have to call again. I hate plumbing problems, but I appreciate TM and all the guys that helped us be able to enjoy our cabin once again. Thank you!

He was short on cash so I bought the water heater which was close to $1,200. After install he sent me an invoice for $1,900 $300 over the agreed upon price. When I arrived at my cabin after two weeks of completion, I had a strong Propane smell inside my house. My basement was also full. I opened all of the windows but the smell didn't go away. I could have blown up along with a major forest fire. He did NOT even tighten the main gas valve that was leaking into my place for two weeks. Over 40 gallons of propane leaked into my basement and my house. I lit the water heater which could have exploaded. DO NOT HIRE

He was so nice and patient and didn't complain in the slightest for the extra time it took to do it! Once they started working it was fast and done right. He made sure we were good to go! After three days of no hot water with rain and snow fall he was greatly appreciated! Even calling the office we felt like they cared and wanted to help... which was nice because we called around to about 8 other companies some where nice but couldn't do the work and some made us feel like we were bothering them with our need for service which is really odd- So a big thanks to Tristan (?) and O'Brien Plumbing from our family for punctual, quick, clean, courteous, friendly work!

It was a pleasure working with Genaro and his crew. I had my roofing redone and a skylight…read moreinstalled. High Mountain construction was always responsive and kept me posted through the process. Here's one of the reasons I went with Genaro. As a registered civil and structural engineer, I deal with general contractors daily as a full-time job. So you can say I have an eye out for lazy contractors. Genaro was the first contractor to arrive out of 5 roofing companies I reached out to. (Note High Mountain does way more than roofing, but my review is limited to this scope). Not only was he the first to arrive, but he was also the first to email me a professional quote. He took a good look and took accurate measurements. Accurate measurements allow him to have a competitive bid. His number came in lower than I had expected and before any other quote came in, I decided to sign him up. After a week, I did have lazy quotes come in and all were higher. My instinct was right about him. My house was built with T&G roof and foam insulation but lacked the plywood on top. (Shocking right!!) This was an obvious change order and as a structural engineer, I knew this was not covered in his original quote. Normally this would be a good opportunity for a huge change order, but his quote for the added service was very reasonable. Once the change order was approved he picked up 40 sheets of plywood within a day and started to install it the next day. Genaro is very price conscious and was willing to drive his truck down the hill to get better pricing. On top of that, I saw a very little delay in the schedule. I could see another contractor saying, "Well Big Bear is out of plywood so it will be another week. We'll come back another time." I was truly amazed at his good work ethic. In addition, Genaro has a big crew that comes to finish a job sooner, but I told him I was good with his timeline. So what is the advantage of having a big crew? Well if it's about to snow in 3 days, better get more people to cover up the roof with black paper! Sure enough, he made it in time for the storm! The inspection went smooth and the roof was completed before the storm. Skylight looks nice! Can't ask for more and will be recommending them to my friends and yes he's a local. I typically do not write a long review but seeing that High Mountain had 0 yelp review, I had to make it count.
