I was just passing through the area and had to stop in. I wish I had a little market like this near me! It was like a step back in time...an old-fashioned, family owned little store. I loved every part of it! They had an adorable little salad bar that was so clean and everything looked so fresh. They had everything you would want from a regular grocery store just on a slightly smaller scale. I was pleasantly surprised to find a little place in the back where you could order numerous different fried foods. They had Mac & cheese, green beans, potato wedges, regular and hot fried chicken wings, chicken nuggets, etc. Wow!!! I tried the chicken wings and potato wedges...both were soooo crispy! Delicious!! It ever in the area again I will definitely make a stop here!

You know that feeling when you stumble into a grocery store and think, "Is this place on legal…read moresteroids?" Well, folks, Wegmans is the real-life Hulk of supermarkets, legal steroids and all! Picture this: it's not just a grocery store; it's practically a food theme park. They've got more restaurants inside than you've had hot meals, and the place is so vast it makes your average mall look like a dollhouse. I mean, they even have a designated "cheese person" who slices and dices cheese like they're starring in a deli-themed action movie. Now, here's the kicker - they have a fish section, and I'm not talking about a few lonely fillets. No, no. They've got entire, whole fish chilling on ice like they're auditioning for an ice-fishing documentary. It's like an aquatic ice kingdom in there, and I was as mesmerized as a kid in a candy store. But with fish. And ice. So, not really like a candy store at all. Here's a fun fact - my boyfriend used to be a Wegmans warrior back in Buffalo, NY. After years of grocery battle, when we finally made the trek from the Bayou to the Spotsylvania, VA location, you bet it was one of our first stops. And it did not disappoint. It's like the homecoming of a warrior returning to the village, if the village had the most epic grocery store ever. Now, about the prices, they might be a tad higher than your average grocery store, but let's be real - you're not just shopping for groceries; you're embarking on an adventure. It's about the experience, the culinary exploration, and the feeling that you've just discovered a treasure trove of foodie delights. So, if you're looking for a grocery store that's more than just a grocery store, Wegmans is your beast on legal steroids. It's a foodie fantasyland, a place of wonder, and the perfect spot for your next epic grocery quest. Suit up and dive in - you won't be disappointed! Oh, and here's a pro tip that's worth its weight in gold - Wegmans is on Instacart. So, if you find yourself in a pinch or need to impress your future in-laws (fingers crossed!), you can hop onto their site from virtually anywhere, even while jetting off in a plane, and order a gift. In less time than it takes for an in-flight movie to finish, you'll have the most humongous plant ever delivered to yours of their doorstep. It's like sending a green, leafy love letter to your loved ones. Wegmans has your back, whether you're roaming their massive aisles or shopping from the clouds!

This store has been in decline for years. Everytime we go it gets worse. Last week we went for…read morevegtables and when we arrived at 9:30 AM the produce department was practally empty. What they did have was wilitled or near spoiling. Then we go to the fish counter and no one was there and the sign on the counter said closed. Additionaly everytime we want Aspargus we have to go to Giant as the ones in this store are ALWAYS standing in dry containers. This makes them woody half way up the stalk. We have complained to management time and time again. Still no change. Go to Giant. Prices are better and food is fresh. Update. Went there yesterday, and surprise. Take a look at the new photos.

This store has organic produce, chicken, beef and Hot Dogs, mayonnaise ketchup, Ezekiel flourless bread , Daves organic bread, Pete & Jerry's Pasture raised Eggs and all are priced lower than the local market...Wow, I couldn't be happier. Just wish they had organic coffee. The staff are well informed and very helpful, kind and courteous and have gone out of their way to help locate items when I asked kindly. Customer Service is top notch and wonderful. A special Thank You to Tina in Customer Service who located the eggs I left behind at the checkout counter. You know I was surprised that shopping at Walmart would be so great, I was clueless thinking how could it possibly be. I've purchased bathroom accessories and even a bed frame there. Whatever you need they have it , even lace and needlepoint yarns, art supplies, fresh flowers! The store is immaculately clean well organized and very large, getting lost in there is rather easy.

Other Walmart locations didn't have them, but we had heard that this particular location had a great variety as well as being well-stocked. I just wished that the items were delivered and/or shelved carefully, as most of the boxes were somewhat damaged/crushed. The self-checkout section is great, with staff readily available for any assistance. Plenty of parking in this large plaza. +well-stocked items +large parking available

Food Lion, Mineral VA, Oct, 2026. Game changer! We live in a rural area, with few options for…read moregroceries so we very much appreciated when Food Lion (and later, a Dollar General) moved into the area some years ago. We're still almost six miles from the Food Lion though and they hadn't previously offered delivery. I'm not sure when that changed, but we got a recent offer from the store for free delivery (normally, $7.95), so we decided to check it out. We got a large order delivered (about $110) with about 45 items, including fresh fruit and veggies, meats, dairy, a few canned goods, and a few specialty items from the deli (such as blueberry goat cheese). We were very pleased with the experience. The order was delivered within the promised window, when it was already dark, and the driver left the food at our front door (which is up a flight of stairs). The grocery prices for delivery were the same as for in-store purchases, and weekly specials were honored. A few items were out-of-stock, but Food Lion contacted us ahead of time to ensure that substitutes were agreeable. The quality of the goods was spot-on. The fresh items (meats, fruits, vegetables) were all fresh. We're not sure that we will use this service regularly -- as we like to self-select items in the grocery aisles -- but it's good to know that it's a good, viable option when needed. It does cost more, with the usual $7.95 delivery fee plus tip for the driver. These charges though seem fair given the work involved in packing the bags, and driving and unloading at our rural location.

My biggest gripe is that sometimes workers will smoke out front near the entrance to the building. Very unpleasant, especially for those of us with small children that don't want them to be exposed to secondhand smoke.
