I am looking for a halloween costume wanted to browse what they have, but also want to find a separate 1800s dress that I could possibly get made or ordered (this one would have been the need for an appointment because I want to but it not rent it). It then says on the site due to covid "If at all possible, please make sure to call us for an appointment before coming in" I asked about an appointment for the 1800 dress. They replied "we do not have time for individual costumes at this time!! I asked back do I have to have an appointment or can we like a regular shop just come browse and look around, pick a costume on out own. No reply for a month. Finally I decided to just stop by. The door says they are open, the door is locked and a sign says appointment only!! I feel like I stopped by years ago around 2018-19 hoping to find a costume and it said the same on the door. But they will not put that on their website, or reply to an email asking. Because their website is very unclear. Because "If at all possible, please make sure to call us for an appointment before coming in" suggest you can also just come in to browse. Extremely sad. I do hope another shop opens up around here with real costumes! Since Lucy in disguise closed, there is nothing within many hours that I know of with options.

I called to ask about shipping time. For the standard shipping cost, it appeared I would receive the item in time, but FF offered to call me back after placing the order to discuss a faster option (not an expedited service). Well, they did, they had an option for another carrier, and even offered to absorb the cost difference. I got the item a day earlier than estimated with the original carrier. The item is also quite fragile, but it was packed very well and arrived undamaged. I couldn't be happier with the service I received and will definitely be looking here first for my freaky items!

One of the owners shared a story with my boy, who shares his fascination with all things chicken. That was what originally caught my boys attention since they had shirts with chickens on them. They have all sorts of unique shirts here and it's become a routine to stop by and check out what cool new gear they've received. Recently, we checked out their masks, and I've never seen such a selection of clown and dark creature disguises. I waited for over 10 minutes in line only to be told they don't have purple ribbon. Are you kidding me?!? Every other Party City has purple ribbon to blow up balloons with and you SELL purple ribbon for $6 in your very store. The employees were super rude and unhelpful. They literally offered no solutions and weren't the least bit apologetic, as they should have been. I also witnessed another dissatisfied customer explain to the employee who blew up her balloons why her order was wrong and how to learn from it & fix it for the next time. The employee didn't care at all and was super dismissive. It was very unprofessional. I do not trust these incompetent employees with my events, balloons, or anything else. You shouldn't either. One store is located in the Arboretum Crossing shopping center in the former Toys R Us space, just a few doors up from Dave & Busters (where Mopac Expressway and 183/Research Blvd meet). Their other location is located right beside the Austin Aquarium, at the intersection of 183/Research Blvd and Anderson Mill road. They have just about everything. Its amazing the amount of Halloween merchandise they carry (really friendly and helpful staff too). Nice to be treated like a valued customer - don't see much of that these days in other stores.
