I got the Beef & Swiss (Locomotive) which was yummy, family tried the bulgogi sandwich and "the limited" which was honey ham and cheese. The prickly pear refresher was especially good on a hot day, as was the fresh fruit cup. Overall this was a great eating and entertainment spot that I would highly recommend.

If the issue is with the drink itself, especially when I had barely touched it, I don't think the customer should have to pay again for a replacement of equal value. They offered to add more milk, but it didn't really help, and I was also told I'd have to pay if I wanted them to add more tea. At that point, it felt like there was no real effort to resolve the issue. I even had my friend try the drink, and she agreed that it didn't really taste like a Thai latte. To me, it tasted mostly like milk, food coloring, and an overwhelming amount of sugar. I also ordered a garlic cream cheese bread, which was good. Not the best I've had, but definitely not bad. I'd say their pastries are a step above their drinks based on my experience. I'm also in the service industry, so I try to be understanding when things aren't perfect. That's why the way this was handled bothered me more than the drink itself. This felt like a very easy situation to fix, and I would've handled it differently with a customer. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect some willingness to make a reasonable correction when a customer is clearly unhappy with something they've barely consumed. Overall, I probably won't be coming back. The staff were friendly, and it is a quiet place to study with free Wi-Fi, so I could see myself recommending it for grabbing a small pastry and getting some work done between classes. But for the prices, I don't think the quality or customer service was enough to make me want to return, especially when I can go to Tous Les Jours and get what I consider better quality for a similar price. I tried it myself and could tell right away that the cream tasted spoiled, it wasn't just an unusual or overly tangy flavor. Ube is also usually sweet, never sour. I went to the counter to let the staff know because I was concerned about the freshness of the other cruffins. The cashier told me there was "no way" it could be spoiled because they had been made that morning, but then asked another coworker to taste the filling. She tried it twice but didn't really comment on the taste. They did offer to exchange the cruffin or provide a refund, which I appreciated, but at that point I was no longer comfortable eating it and wondered about the freshness of the other ones as well, so I opted for the refund. I've generally had good experiences with the food here, so this was definitely an off experience. Hopefully this was an isolated issue, but I'd be a little more cautious with the filled pastries and their freshness.

The supervisor looked over at me then proceeded to tell the employee that it's not their problem if it's not picked up on time, they just make them when we give them a time. His attitude was very much "screw them if they are late." As I was standing right across from him, I said, "I heard you." He approached the area that leads to the dining room and said "I was talking to him, mind your business." As I have worked in customer service, managed service employees, and hire service reps, my comment to him was simply to bring awareness that his "customer" should not be witness to his complete disregard for them or their purchase. He became very aggressive and told me to get my drink and get out. I asked for his name and he refused and continued to tell me to get out and don't come back. I shared that I would be reporting his behavior and he responded, good. You are trespassed. I asked for what reason? and was told that he didn't like my attitude and that unless I didn't have a problem with him then to get out and he would call the police if I ever came back. He proceeded to tell me that he had plenty of customers and didn't need my business as he has 5 stores. Truthfully, I am happy not to return to this store or any other if this is the level of service provided by your employees. On my previous visit, I waited almost 10 minutes for my drink after it was to be ready and I had no issues or complaints with the staff. Things happen and I assume they did not hold up my drink on purpose. To not be extended the same courtesy as a paying customer is beyond mind boggling. There are too many similar bakeries in this area for me to stress over this location, but poor service bothers me and this was far beyond poor service.

It sits back a little ways off of St. Elmo St. in an unremarkable strip of stores. I have to give my friend and colleague credit for introducing me to the spot, as he called an A.M. meeting there. I'm glad he did. Is a small, but cool little space. The interior is modern and clean, a departure from the strip store vibe outside. Coffee is made to order (obviously), and it's excellent. Definitely coffee for folks who like coffee...no plethora of sickeningly sweet lattes...just a tight menu of fastballs. Solid A. I'd recommend getting there early if you want to sit and work. The place fills up quickly (which is great for the business, I suppose). Next time you're walking down St. Elmo, take the time to notice CoffeeFi, and stop in. You'll be glad you did.
