Response time was great, did not oversell me. Best use of AI so far was finding that it presented the cost as the expected fair market value for all of the work done (PRV, new Bradford White unit, Exchange tank, disposal, and response time was under 1 hour from reporting and the fix was completed under 5 hours from reporting). Customers of ALL HVAC companies beware: First, let me preface this review with a little background. I have been in the HVAC industry for 38 years, and five of the best of them was as an employee of Haller Enterprises. I respected the company so much that I maintained a service agreement for my system throughout my stent with other employers. They have crushed that loyalty. I will also say that there are 'bad actors' in all businesses, and an employer may not be able to 'weed them out' until it is too late. However, it is how the company responds, when an incident occurs, that 'makes or breaks' the quality and standing of that company. On December 4th, 2025, a service tech from Haller Enterprises, Inc arrived for my annual heater service. After a short time with the furnace, he came up and explained that the furnace had a cracked heat exchanger, showing me a picture of said crack on his ipad. He stated that he had to, by law, turn off the system, and the oil supply to it, and "red-tag"ed the unit as 'dangerous or deadly' to operate. I replaced the unit using another company. The owner and installer of the new unit stated that upon removal, he found no crack in the exchanger. I had another tech and friend come out to inspect it with the same determination. (At a later date, Haller sent their own tech to inspect the exchanger, again with the same conclusion. They also requested that they 'take' the exchanger back to the office for a more thorough inspection. I refused that request as I felt at that time, it would become evidence, and I did not want it to accidentally disappear.) I then contacted Haller Enterprises with this information and asked how they would like to proceed with the matter of my replacing a piece of equipment that did not need replacing. I was promised a quick response and received none. I then made another seven contacts with management to amicably resolve this matter. Each time I was told that they would respond either in a day, or on a Friday, responding on the following Monday. Each time, I received no follow-up. So, unfortunately, I must resort to letting the judicial system settle the matter. read more

stay away if you can! We had a new rebuild after a house fire. Our home inspection found problems with MEP, we called Haller to come out for HVAC , plumbing, and electrical. HVAC person came out and stayed maybe 30 minutes, did not even open the unit. Just tested air pressure and said it's good. I was charged $422 . The home inspector opened the unit and found build-up and some other things. I called and asked why I was charged so much? they said he did work....um what work? he replaced the air filter they said. when I made the appointments I knew I had to pay $89 for a dispatch fee and was expecting an estimate on any work that needed done. I guess all that needed done was a new air filter for $422. lesson learned and I cancelled the plumbing and electrical appointments. Very shady. Oh and then the service rep said, oh well they did not set this up right in the system, he was came out for A maintenance call. Never once did I mention maintenance- it's a new unit. read more

Haller Enterprises came to my home on 9-15-26 to repair my basement wash basin sink, which was very old. The faucet and s-trap were both leaking. They quoted repairs/replacement to the faucet and s-trap, and alternatively, if the fittings cracked upon loosening, a full replacement for my wash basin including all the hardware and fittings. The prices quoted were VERY high. I did not use Haller and called another plumber to perform the work. Haller charged my $79.00 for the initial visit. To repair/replace the faucet and s-trap, Haller's price was $1,850.45. The other plumber charged me $450.00. To replace the entire wash basis, including all hardware and fittings, Haller's price was $3,796.45. The other plumber would have charged be about $1,000, had the full replacement been required. One other quote from Haller was to replace the fill value on a toilet. Haller's price was $359.00. I went to Home Depot and bought a $15 part and did the job myself. In all fairness, the other plumber said they would charge $250.00 to replace both the fill value and the flopper. I have no issues with the service tech, who was consulting with the home office and just following direction. If Haller disputes any of the above comments, I have all the written quotes and email correspondence. Beware of Haller Enterprises! In my opinion, they are ripping customers off. As a loyal Haller customer since 2016, having invested over $21,000 in two complete HVAC systems, I am writing to express my deep disappointment. In May 2021, I purchased a full system replacement for my current home, which I was told included a 5‑year warranty. In December 2025, a heating zone in my home stopped functioning. During the service visit, I was informed that the failure was caused by a faulty damper motor that had been reused from my old HVAC system during the "whole system replacement." I was then told that the repair would not be covered under my new system's warranty. To make matters worse, I was quoted $800 for a replacement part that I found available online for approximately $60. Discovering that old components were used in what was represented as a new installation--and then being charged an excessive amount to replace one of those reused parts--has severely damaged my trust in Haller. read more

I had a Service call two days ago for a technician to check my water pressure in the house. Trenton from Bovard/Haller came and did the call. He was very professional and explained everything to me. The very next day, I noticed that my water pressure seemed very low so I called the office back to see if they could come back and recheck it. Trenton was actually on call for my call today, and came to recheck the valve and water pressure. Sure enough it was lower and he readjusted the valve. My father was a loyal customer for years- utilizing their services for all his HVAC and plumbing needs- paying year after year for their service contracts for maintenance and a discount for service calls. My father passed away and while going through his accounts I realized I needed to cancel this service contract which I did. Unfortunately only less than a week later just prior to us selling his home we noticed some trouble with his toilet and called them to come out. Although we are not getting a refund for the 6 months of his service contract he will no longer be using they WILL NOT HONOR any discounts on the service call because we just cancelled it less then a week before. I called and tried to talk to several people but the decision was made- NO. I think this is not a very good way to do business. read more

My water heater went out . I called them to come out and take a look. They charged me 79$ service fee , and diagnostic charge total of 183$ for him to be here 5min(literally 5min) to tell me that he would have to change 2 elements and thermostats and then if that doesn't work I'll have to pay for new water heater. Which made no sense at time since he said both elements are good. He then put on invoice in repairable and refer to warranty and bring back to were I bought heater. I drained water heater, decided to take thermostats out..found that top element was burnt and I put another in and it works. I called this morning to haller and explained why they lied to me and told me that and charged me for diagnostic when they didn't even diagnostic it correctly And lied to me. Lady said on phone a manager would call. It's now been 6 hrs and no one has called. It's bad wnpugh they charg unbelievable amounts of money for their work but then lie to me and tell me I need to purchase another heater seems alittle like fraud. Id give zero stars if i could on ac repair. They installed brand new central air unit 4 years ago and every year it has to be recharged with refrigerant. Technicians came out several times ran test and couldn't find it. Last guy said buy our ac maintenance contract and they might find it. I hired a different company NB Mechanical and the tech found 2 leaks from a poor bend in line with Crack in it and the valve they recharge it from. Completely went over the system and fixed it for less than what haller charged to basically stare at it. We were with them for 8 years and they lost a customer after charging thousands of dollars and not even fixing it. Go elsewhere its cheaper and done right read more

When I called the emergency number on Thursday, July 2nd because our AC was not working, the customer service person said that someone would come out to our location Friday, Jul 3rd before noon. At no time, did the customer service person tell me that Friday July 3rd was considered a holiday and we would pay a premium rate. Then on July 3rd, we were notified that the technician was running late and would arrive between 12 noon and 5 pm. Additionally, we have a service membership and the visit fee is supposed to be waived when a service is performed. We paid for the visit, the part, and the service. The technician was here less than 1/2 hour; we paid $487. Also, when the tech arrived, she sat in her truck for about 15 plus minutes doing whatever. Sadly, I feel trapped because we did purchase the service membership. We originally used Haller when we converted to natural gas 13 years ago. At that time, they were customer centric; now they seem to simply be about quantity, not quality. I've contacted them about this and have NOT heard back. read more

Beware of the up-charge service program. We opted for it and they were supposed to come out twice. They came out the first time and the technician was nice. During that visit, I pointed out that the humidifier control was not responding. The technician said that because the controller was not needed during the summer, they would check it out during the winter visit. The problem is that they did not show up for the winter visit. When I called to see what why the did not show up, they did not provide any explanation and said I had to reschedule the visit. My wife and I had busy schedules at the time and so we had to call them back later. When I got back to them to schedule the visit, they said the service program window had passed. So, they wanted to change us about $100 just to come out to our home. Rather than honor their service program, they actually applied a technicality. The lack of principle was disappointing. This company is not trustworthy based on our experience. Also, people complain about them being overpriced and so be sure to consider other companies. read more

I called Haller because my furnace stopped working and it's still cold enough during the day that I need heat. The tech said the problem was a dirty flame vapor sensor. He quoted me $600 to merely clean the part or $350 to replace it, plus a $200 dispatch call fee. I chose the new part and he quickly got the furnace working. Afterwards, I looked up what this should cost. A flame sensor is a small cheap part that costs between $10 and $50. Most companies would apply the $200 service call fee towards the cost of repair. So $350 to do a five-minute job would be at the high end of a fair price. Adding a $200 service call fee is way out of line. Stay away from Haller. read more

On 12/3/25, I paid a third of my job cost and Haller ordered a draft inducer/gas valve assembly for my boiler. It was to arrive in 10-15 days. Actually it took 21 days. On 12/24/25 it was installed but the connection plug could not be attached because the boiler connector was incompatible. It ended being the wrong part thus the correct part was ordered. 2 weeks went by and the correct part was installed 1/7/26. The worse part of this was Haller's service, when was trying to get ahold of someone to find out was was going on. Initially I was told they would be back in 3 days to do the work. I didn't think so, but the guy kept insisting. Then I was left a message, a name and number to call, I forget his name. When I called back, no one knew who he was. Strange and frustrating. Later I received a call from an unknown number. Which I didn't want to answer. Later still, I received another call from an unknown number. This time I answered, it was the service manager, Jim. It was like he didn't want anyone to have his direct number. Later on he gave it to me, by then I was quite frustrated with the Haller experience. Actually, their main number goes to a centralized scheduling service for all of the Haller service offices throughout the entire area. No wonder they were clueless. No one answers the phone at each individual service office! That is poorest customer service ever!! And then the service manager, Jim, who works undercover/unknown?? If you want personalized service, DO NOT go here! Isn't it nice to be able to call into a business who knows you, and your situation, that can answer about the specifics pertaining to YOUR job? I was in need of a replacement of my Heating and Central AC. I did my research and chose Haller Enterprises, and I am glad I did. From beginning to end everything went perfect. The equipment was installed and setup perfect, the service personnel were really great, and took pride in their work. Every Tech was knowledgeable, friendly, and answered any questions I had. All work was done in a neat and professional manner. The area was cleaned completely after they were done. From the quality of the equipment to the super quality of the Techs, it was a fantastic experience, no problems no worries, just superior workmanship, and great team work. They went over everything with me after they were done, answered every question I had. I have never had such an easy worry free work done as this. Haller installed a boiler and a water heater a few weeks ago and there are numerous mistakes and sloppy workmanship which is guaranteed Now in order to fix another boiler problem they want to charge . They scheduled an appointment to come and never showed up and the manager cancelled the dispatch, I had to file a complaint with the Pennsylvania Consumer Protection Agency. They do not honor the contract. On installation they did not put in the new thermostat and with 10 trucks coming and going did not have all the supplies needed to do the install. The tech left a pile of trash in my basement and the door of my oil furnace on the floor. They have not called me back for 3 days after 2 phone calls about this outrageous price. Today I was contracted to have my boiler system drained down and two ends capped off and the baseboard heater and copper pipe removed for that they wanted $1,100 come to find out they never drain down the system they tried to plug the 30 lb of pressure that it contains with their thumbs spraying water and sludge from the inside of very old copper pipes all over my basement apartment I am more than pissed off I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau I can't believe that they put two people on a job that have no clue as to what they are doing I myself a 63-year-old veteran of the United States Air Force could have done a better job if I had had the tools this is just totally unacceptable and will be reported I have asked for a portion of my money to be refunded and if it is not I will gladly take it to the civil case but I want my money back for two damage carpets damage bedspread and bed set damaged walls and damaged floor . For many years I used Haller at two different properties and was very satisfied with them , especially the technician who had been servicing the AC/heating system (Carl). In the last couple of years I sensed a difference with the office staff and a certain pressure to sign on to a loyalty program. I explained several times that I prefer to pay as the service is rendered---which I have done faithfully and punctually for many years. The person at the office said that I could be taken to court, and I responded that since I did not owe a penny for any work they had done but would not pay in anticipation for services not yet rendered I would vigorously counter sue the company for fraudulent charges as I had never signed for any loyalty program and owed the company nothing. That was the end of my dealings with Haller, once a fine local company now, I hear, owned by a conglomerate in New Jersey---which to me explains much. read more

I'm very disappointed with amount of money charged to replace an A/C capacitor. Especially considering that wasn't the problem with my A/C unit. The company refused to provide any money back, insisting that the company charges flat rate pricing and that the capacitor was bad. I had another company replace the coil, which was actually the problem. They did so at 1/3 of the price Haller quoted me to do the same. I have been a loyal Haller customer for over 10 years. After my December 9th service I cancelled my loyalty membership. During the maintenance inspection of my gas furnace the technician said there was a potential for carbon monoxide because of a cracked heat exchanger in the unit. Note that I had previously purchased a CO detector from Haller for over $100 a couple of years ago and the detector was reading "zero carbon monoxide" during the service call. Without permission the technician shut off the gas and "red tagged" the unit. I called his supervisor to complain and asked for some sort of waiver because at the end of the day, it's our house and our decision. Yet the only offer was to let them replace the gas burner unit for $5316 minus a "loyalty discount " of $799 to reduce the price to $4518, and they could have it installed the next day. It was 15 degrees that day and that was the absolute worst service and a red flag for how to scare people into buying from them. The technician who has been coming to our house regularly for years walked out with a basic shoulder shrug like "just doing my job". Haller ought to be ashamed, but they aren't because they get enough people who trust them and fall for this type of scam. I called another company that came right out and turned the gas back on and agreed that there should have been some sort of waiver provided, especially considering the weather conditions. We had been in the market for a new heating and cooling system and might have purchased from Haller (as we had previously) but they completely violated our trust. So, we purchased from a more reputable company a week later to take advantage of the rebates that are ending this year. Buyers beware of their scare tactics! Haller, you need to fix your policy to serve the customers and not just your bottom line. read more

I purchased a new Carrier ac/heating unit from this company. Has a 10 year warranty on parts. However does not include labor. It's only 2 years old and a fan motor went out. They charged $690 in labor to do an hour and a half job. TOTAL RIP OFF. Never do business with them read more

Better off using HB McClure....I have been using Haller for over ten years. I just liked their service until I used them recently. Now they have a membership you have to be a part of. I needed one unit serviced and one unit needed repaired. They said they will call me back about the membership. No one ever called me back about the membership. I made the appointment anyway thinking I would get a call before or they would adjust the bill accordingly. They charged me an almost $200 service fee then an hourly rate on top of that. Meanwhile the overall bill was $800 plus. They supposedly spent 3 hours on one unit after they had already fixed it. They were only supposed to get it running which that was done pretty quickly but spent a lot of time doing things that I didn't ask. They always have been in and out before not sure why they spent all this extra time that was not needed....guess business was slow. I questioned the bill the same day and someone was supposed to call me back but I never received a call back. I won't be using them again they are only about trying to make the most out of each visit - charging a fee and hourly rate and trying to be there all day to make more money is ridiculous. Once I told my husband they are charging hourly, he got them out of there. They had never been there that long in the past. read more
