Updated my review again. They did come out again, and seems…read morethe issue stemmed from another install error. Our system was slowly leaking refrigerant until it was out. I'm hesitant to say it's fixed, we will see as time goes on. Currently we have working minisplits. The AI is extremely frustrating to talk to, I hate it. We have had several install issues with our minisplits in the 2.5y since topline sold and installed them. First they leaked all over our walls, now they have a refrigerant error and don't work at all. They charged $14,000 for subpar equipment and installation service which could have gotten us a reliable brand like Carrier or Mitsubishi as well as reliable service from a trustworthy HVAC company. $14,000 is fine for a 10y+ reliable system, 2.5 years and having to have the company out over and over again? And they want to charge to come out again which I understand business wise, however we shouldn't be having these issues to begin with on a new $14,000 system. Stay far away from this company. I will update my review if they make this right. After a lot of back and forth they should be out Wednesday.

After a week we don't have cool air anymore. Second guy Ray who was a senior tech showed us the pipes are frozen and shut down our AC and said there's no more Freon. Third guy Albert said the controller needs replacement. We still have no AC for a month now. We asked AHS to send another company for a second opinion. Ever since Topline has been harassing us with phone calls and making excuses to not refund the $600 refund for the Freon they charged us. We will never recommend them to anyone.

I liked the "family" feel of everyone making me feel at home and sharing information freely to help me make the best selection for my budget. The sales floor was easy to navigate and compare models. I scheduled my delivery for a Monday with a request to have it by 11:30 so I could be on time for my work day. Mark and Andrew pulled up at 9:30. (I know this cannot always be promised). They had all the ladders, tools, and connecting equipment for every contingency needed for the installation in my 1854 house. ( I know that is this company's norm - but I have had poor experiences in the past where there was not readiness or ability to do the work needed.) Their courteous professionalism and careful skill made the installation of my new washer and dryer a delight. It was great that they stayed to run the machine through a cycle and make sure everything was leveled and operational. I have found my appliance store for any future needs. Nancy from Mount Joy

I was disappointed with my experience contacting Ranck…read more I called to inquire about wet line disconnect services for a commercial property that is scheduled for demolition. Since this service appears to be listed on their website, I simply asked whether they perform that type of work. The representative immediately told me "no." When I mentioned that their website suggests otherwise and asked if she could verify with someone, she placed me on hold and returned asking for my name, company, and whether I was a third party. I explained that before providing all of my information, I just wanted confirmation that Ranck actually performs the service. Instead of answering the question, she insisted the answer was contingent on those details. I asked whether those questions had any bearing on whether the company offers the service at all, and she again stated that the answer depended on who I was. As someone calling about what could have been a significant commercial project, I found the interaction frustrating and unwelcoming. A simple, "Let me check and confirm whether we offer that service," would have gone a long way. I ended up thanking her for her time and chose to not pursue the conversation any further the whole experience was just very distasteful.

I sent pictures and never heard back. After a few follow up phone calls and promises that a quote would be coming...it's over a week later and still no quote. I hired S A Way Plumbing and Heating and did the job same day and took a little over 2 hours. I got a quote from Brubaker Plumbing and they said it would take two days...at least $1,000. S A Way Plumbing and Heating charged $95 hour. You do the math!

Buyer Beware. I had a couple plumbing issues pop up, nothing too major. I went online to find a…read moreplumber, figured I'd look small & local. I asked for a quote from Snyder's, they came back with $650-$750, which to me was a bit high, but I figured $750 was worst case scenario. Longer story shorter, I got invoiced for $983. "If it's going to cost more, we'll let you know beforehand". That never happened. I contacted another contractor who said there's no way that job should have cost as much as I was invoiced. Now they did have to come back a second time because my out-of-the-box pump failed and needed to be replaced. Ok, I get that, 2nd trip needed, but an original 2-3 hour job, I got billed 4.5 hrs. Ok, I can let that go because of the 2nd trip. But where I took issue was the materials charge. I looked at the parts list and decided to check prices thru Home Depot & Lowes. It added up to right around $150. I got charged $465 for materials. Now if my price is $150 from a big box store, what do you think Snyder's is getting charged as an in-industry business who bought from a supply house? So their markup is over 300%? That's BS. Plus I was charged for 2 10' pcs of pipe where they only needed 1'. Think they threw the other 9' away? So I called them on these prices, got a response (eventually), and here we are. I paid their bill, but it doesn't mean I'm not going to speak caution for the next unsuspecting person looking for plumbing services. While their face-to-face interactions were fine, it's the business practices and after-the-fact pricing that has me writing this negative review. Save me the do-it-yourself diatribe, there was no way that was a $983 job. There's reasonableness, and then there's price gouging. You decided to go for the money, so you got your money, but I'll be sure to let people know to look elsewhere. Reputations and word-of-mouth still mean something in a small town.
