We were immediately seated at the bench seating against the wall to the right when you walk in. We both would've preferred one of the booths but they were all full. That is the one thing about Sinbad's again it's not a big restaurant and there is no privacy. The food and service do make up for it. And then our waitress came to the table and took our drink & appetizer orders. Then she came back a few minutes later with our waters and my glass of Pinot Grigio & lentil soup which is delicious he got it but he shared it with me. I ordered the Cabbage rolls ( Malouf) and they were delicious it also came with a Greek salad that was also good. A couple of years ago, they stopped opening for Saturday lunch (which was the only time I ever went there..), so I stopped going there. Earlier this year I heard that they were once again open for lunch on Saturdays, and I've been there twice since then. As I mentioned, the food has always been good; pitas generally come with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles (middle-eastern), and tzatziki sauce, along with your protein of choice. I've had the chicken shawarma, the gyro, the kofta and the falafel; all were good. Today, I noticed that there is also an "eggplant pita" on the menu. Eggplants are a fairly common element in middle-eastern cooking, often sliced and grilled or roasted, sometimes battered, but often not. Sounded like a good idea? No, it was not.. What I got, instead of eggplant slices was just COLD baba ghanoush! Put on top of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and a ladleful of rather runny tzatziki sauce, and what you ended up with was one COLD, SOGGY and WET mess inside a pita. It was dreadful, PLUS it made an unholy mess dripping all over everything! How can they call this an "eggplant pita" when it's just a cold baba ghanoush salad with runny dressing stuffed into a pita which can't handle that amount of liquid? BEWARE OF ORDERING THIS PITA!!!!!!

The "religious" excuse for not making drinks, while still allowing someone else to do it, just to make money, shows no moral consistency. We planned to stay 20 minutes but left disappointed. This place cares more about image than honesty. Better hookah lounges in Rochester treat people with respect -- this one's not worth it.
