Of course that was not realistic or possible so after some research I found Michael's agency. Not only was he so friendly but I could tell just from our phone conversation he was on his shit. When traveling to another country it is always best to make sure you cash out or spend all your…read moreforeign currency before coming back to the US; but if you don't you can always sale your foreign currency to Altour American Express located in Lenox Plaza. You will certainly pay to sale your currency back, but at least you re-coop some of your money. On a recent trip to Mexico we bought pesos at the rate of $12.95 pesos to the USD and ended up bringing back a few pesos. After going to my bank Wells Fargo I referred to Altour; which was luckily located next door to my office so it is very nice to just have to walk over this morning and sale the pesos. After an $8 service charge and their exchange rate of $1 USD to $14.86 pesos I only took a loss of $23.21 USD. Not bad considering it will probably be a while before I return to Mexico, so I got a little bit of my money back. Also, I should mention if you are selling your currency back to Altour AMEX is that they do not buy coins; only bills. I've now got $36 pesos in coins as souvenirs to remind me of my trip to Mexico.

It's inside the Lenox Place bldg. Just park upfront and its right there in front. I called about their rates before going there but the next day the Euro had gone up...oh well. I didn't have much of a choice. A guy was in line before me and walked out because he said the Euro was lower when he called the day before....ummm dude...it's going to be the same everywhere. Anyhoo, the lady that helped me was nice and gently explained the fees since I didn't know shit about changing money. Next time I will make sure to change my money at Bofa or any bank 4 days before my trip and if not, American Express on Peachtree Rd will be my go to place for foreign currency exchange! :D

After a family member recommended this place we went on rainy Friday afternoon. Fast, friendly service, they said we would have our passports in 7 days - thats crazy! Keep in mind, if you have a few months they will be happy to help you but they are upfront about their costs on top of the normal passport costs. They are located right down the road from a fulton county so you can do all of your paper work in one day. I advise you go to their website visalady.com to make sure you have all the documents you need (my boyfriend needed a lot for a new passport), I didn't need a lot.

There is no way I could have planned everything I wanted to do without getting stressed and going a little crazy in the meantime. Tiffany recommended that we meet with her fairly early in our planning process so she could get a good feel of what was top of the list for us to see/do during our trip to Italy. During that time, she also gave us tons of info on each city so we could do a little more research and learn of a few other ideas we had not thought about prior to our meeting. The Global Escapes team is so knowledgeable and easy to work with! They are quick to respond to emails (that's a big plus in my opinion!) and very detail oriented. They made sure we had a detailed daily itinerary of what we were doing with times, street locations/addresses and the names of who would be leading our tours. We were even greeted in our hotel room with an unexpected but awesome welcome gift from Global Escapes! Tiffany set up all of our transportation, both cars and train tickets so everything was smooth sailing! I have already started talking with her about our next international trip planned for 2024. If you are thinking about taking a trip overseas, or even a cruise or river tour, definitely consider Global Escapes. They truly made our experience as easy as possible and left us with nothing to worry about. They are the only way I will travel from now on! I have included a few pictures from our trip to Rome, Florence, Balonga and Milan. My recommendation is to definitely take a couple food tours when traveling to Italy (or anywhere!) It is a fun way to learn about the culture and history while eating your way through the city! Whatever you decide to do, Global Escapes can help you plan it!
