Food came out quickly, and the folks here were generous (giving me another extra small piece of fish despite ordering the half sized fish and chips since they had a too-small one they were going to get rid off anyhow). You can combo to save an extra $2, but not much else here apart from a few fried fish dishes. Fish was great, and there was vinegar at other booths in the food court to add to it. Tartar was nice, and the fries were crunchy. It is a little pricey, but for the speed and what you get, I was fine with it. The only thing I would ding would be the ambiance, but it's no fault that the food court isn't the snazziest.

It's enough for around 3-5 people. The gravy was not too salty. The restaurant seems to get decent traffic despite the aged look, change in ownership (that happened years back) and empty dinnering area lining the windows. The woman working there seems to be someone who like to get to know her customers. There is a parking out front but the lines for the individual spaces seemed to be very faded.

Ordered the halibut and chips. Very greasy and patches on the fish with no batter. Clearly someone missed a step here with cooking our meal or the oil wasn't hot enough or both. I love to support local but I prefer to drive to Stouffville (Joy's) and Toronto for fish and chips now. Too many places now giving up on quality control and overpricing their food with no justification.

They also offer breakfast poutine (pictured below) which are tater tots topped with cheese, green peppers and hollandaise sauce - a bit too rich for my liking but definitely tasty. I said ok no problem Upon my food arriving it was pretty small ( look at pic). And I would have given a 1 star review But I must say the halibut (even though miniature in size) was actually crispy and flavourful and even though I didn't take a picture, the fish was pretty thick. Therefore my reason for 3 stars. Also, the fries were not quite right for a fish and chips shoppe. Either they were frozen or they were re-cooked for too long and they were hard, bland and tasteless. The dining area is relatively small as they only have 2 tables so I'd consider this primarily a takeout establishment but I was lucky to get a seat and enjoy mine fresh. For takeout, we were peeved that they used pre-packed condiments for tartar sauce rather than provide some homemade or dine-in option. But the fish itself was golden & crunchy on the outside with pleasant flaky fillet texture inside. Well worth it, and they even offer $11 Sun/Mon specials. As for the Halibut & Chips, we were sadly underwhelmed by our first attempt. The fish is firm, mild in flavour with perhaps a little bit of sweetness. It tasted rather bland. We may have to try it fresh to see if it's an acquired taste. Otherwise we'll stick to cod/haddock. The fries accompanying both were a tad soggy but did a bit better with a splash of S&P. Fish (a few different types) Chips. A few other things that are typical in a fish and chips shop. Staff looks like a real mom and pop duo. Friendly man takes my order quickly and the nice lady gets to work in the kitchen. I got a halibut and chips with some coleslaw. To go. The food comes out quick. The packaging is well thought out for the travel home. It's a nice to see they care about the details. At home when I open the package it looks fabulous. The fish is golden and crispy. Sliced thin it's a large piece of fish. I prefer it like this over the chunky cuts that I sometimes see in other places. The fries are great. Fresh cut. Perfectly cooked. The coleslaw is homemade creamy and fresh. Slightly sweet it cuts through and complements the not too greasy fried food quite nicely. Even with a good splash of vinegar the fish stays crispy. This is going to be one of my favorite fish and chips in the city. Can't wait to go back.
