For what you pay for it's right on the cusp of "bang for buck" just not quite there. The one I go to back in LA lets you add more ingredients by picking from a side bar and having them add it to whatever you order. It tastes good and the heat level 2 is money. The rose tteokbokki hits the spot but needs help from another dish like fried chicken to round out the creamy, chewy, and spicy elements. It's simple and it's cool with me. Nice job with the friendly service from the cashier today. Parking is shared with the giant lot so I can't see anyone complaining too much.

I came here on a Thursday night two hours before closing as I found this place previously and wanted to try it because it's close to H Mart in the same plaza. Upon coming in, there's a lot of space in the restaurant which I think they can rearrange to really maximize this place because it's pretty big for a fast food style joint. The place is set up to where you go up to the counter and order your food and to sit anywhere. My fiancé and I got the Rose Tteokbokki, Mayak Gimbap, Sotteok Sotteok, Boneless Soy & Garlic Chicken, and Cheese Sticks. The Rose Tteokbokki was at level 1 spice but it was very spicy although tasty. We got it with the glass noodles, added as add-on. The noodles were chewy and the rice cakes were nice and chewy for the texture as well. The chicken was nothing of the ordinary and didn't give me the wow factor but it was made fresh from when we tried it. My favorite would have to be the Mayak Gimbap because it was so simple and reminded me of childhood, but it was also made fresh and the textures of the vegetables and rice was great. This ended up becoming my favorite item from the visit. The Sotteok Sotteok was average too. I believe this place just opened so they definitely have a lot of potential to work on their items and hopefully bring in one customers because I think what they're doing is great.

It was smaller portion with no sausage. And no more kimbop at 2pm. I love their Ttokbokki but this will be my last time from here.

We've been to the original location of Halgatteok when it first opened inside Cheongdam Hall and am glad to see that they moved to a bigger location in the same plaza as HMart. We had the Rosé Tteokbokki with ssal tteok (100% rice cake) mild and the original boneless fried chicken. I've had their tteokbokki before and it's just as good as I remembered. Chewy rice cakes and packed with toppings like egg, fish cake, and sausage. The fried chicken options are a nice addition to their menu. I really enjoyed listening to the KPop music playing in the restaurant. The cashier was friendly and helpful, will definitely come back to try the other items on their menu.

We accidentally stepped into this place mixing up where we wanted to go but found a good spot. The boneless wings were very good. The sweet and spicy wings were quite tasty and not too hot. The hot and spicy looked identical to those but unlike the photo on the wall. They were indeed spicy yielding a few tears due to the sauce. Look forward to coming back trying more items here especially the tteokbokki giant rice cakes. You order at counter and pickup from there as well so they don't deliver food to your table, give ban chan, or a water pitcher.

Was looking for a snack before going into H-mart, and we spotted Hal Ga Ttcok when we parked in the lot. We ordered the Sotteok Sotteok (rice cake and sausage) and the Shrimp Tempura. After ordering (and paying), we were given a coaster pager that buzzed when our order was ready (so we could pick up our food at the counter). The restaurant itself was utilitarian, and the food was fine. The sausage was excellent and while the tteokbokki was a little gummy, it was better than tteokbokki I had in Seoul. The sauce had notes of fruit, although I couldn't identify what I thought it tasted like. The shrimp were a little greasy, but the sauce was tasty, and it was enjoyable overall. Looking at food on other tables, the entrees looked nice, and the portions seemed generous.

I love the mom and pop feel of this place! Went in on a whim with my housemate, and we both loved this place when it was in the cheong dam food hall, we were excited to check it out! The staff was so nice and kind! Would totally recommend this place!

Okay this place was so good. I was looking for Korean food but knew I wanted something yummy, fast, and to go. The cashier was funny and kind and I enjoyed listening to the music while waiting, which didn't take too long. Will be back next time I'm in Vegas Pictured: Rose Tteokbokki with ramen added and sotteok sotteok. Both yummy. Not pictured: the soy garlic chicken that was too good to remember to take a photo of before eating

Original pork katsu

Ordered Rose tteokbokki and their special original pork katsu. The rose tteokbokki was delicious. We got level 2 spice out of 3., just the right kick without profuse sweating. The sauce was creamy and the rice cake had a nice texture and very fresh. It also came with a boiled egg, you already know what boiled egg tastes like so I won't bore you. Another delight is the included sausage, sliced onions and carrots provided some veggies so your mama would be proud. The pork katsu was also very good, very crunchy and had katsu sauce on top. Included in the dish were cabbage salad, pickled daikon and small rice. Overall, it's good and much cheaper than similar dishes at the food court of H Mart

Dakgang jeong, gimmari and the jajang teokbokki was sooo good

Amazing business !! The service was great & they were super kind !! Third time coming in, we were craving tteokboki (again) but the food is addicting !!! Currently trying all food menu items, but you can never go wrong with the OG grandma tteokbokki w/ cheese & noodles for that mukbang kind of night ;) they also have a lil Photo Booth & self-service kiosk !! Fried chicken is a must too, try their dakgangjeong (slight sweet, spicy flavor) !! keep this business going !!!

1/3rd eaten Soondae (forgot to take photo before eating)!
Teresa K.

Their grandma tteokbokki with the thick garae tteok is very good. We had level 3 this time but like 2 better. The jjajang one is good too! Recommend the side of deep fried gimnari. The soondae was nice and bouncy with majority filled with vermicelli noodles and some vegetables. You can order at the counter or kiosk and pick up your order at the counter. Good service with 3 TVs playing kpop music videos. Highly recommend!

We love it here! The service is great and the food is always delicious! the portions are very generous we usually have to take it to go and it's nice having tteokbeokki for leftovers!

Even the vegetables had that strong sour punch, which I really liked with the steaming hot soup. I'm not big on a table full of side dishes, so I actually appreciated that they kept it simple. Not too many extras, just the essentials. The soup itself wasn't overly salty, which I liked. You can season it to your preference since they provide extra salt on the side. The gomtang stood out -- the beef was very tender, soft, and clearly simmered well. And honestly, the slightly indifferent service made it feel authentic. Not overly polite or trying too hard -- just straightforward and focused on the food. If you enjoy sour notes and comforting Korean soups, this place does it well.

The taste and value is really great, actually. If you are looking for your "halmoni's" (grandma in Korean) authentic, homemade, caring, handmade flavors and can ignore the no-frills, don't -care, terrible location and zero curbside appeal, this is your place. Imagine going to an old neighborhood Korean home where the kimchee to the broths and banchan are made with love. The scissors are sharp so you can easily cut the perfectly fermented, primly pickled kimchee and the cucumbers (oi kimchee) are fresh and the beef broth deeply steeped and rich with flavor. Plus it's an absolute bargain for what you get. I think we ordered almost one of everything (for just the three of us) just to taste it. The naengmyun (cold noodles) were fine. Not exceptional, but decent. The saam and chive pancake was very good. Value is high, taste is high; authenticity very high. Huge portions in today's world of cutting back. But I feel fortunate to find a "go-to" for my korean cravings. Like walking into my auntie's house for some warm, deeply comforting, home-cooked k-meal. Craving the dogani bone broth soup now!! (Would have taken photos but it would have hard to judge based on photos alone. This is a place you have to go to just to taste it, not look at it).

Step inside, though, and suddenly you are transported somewhere that feels straight out of the Euljiro district in downtown Seoul. The welcome sets the tone. The mostly non-Korean staff greet you by shouting something in Korean. I had to ask my Chinese server what it meant. He laughed and said, "Hobak imnida" which translates to "We are Hobak." Kind of silly, but honestly part of the charm. What we did not realize is that Hobak is celebrating its tenth year in business. In Las Vegas, that is no small feat. Restaurants here disappear faster than a weekend bankroll, so a decade says a lot. Also worth noting, Hobak is not AYCE. They offer set menus and à la carte options. We went with the set menu for two, and it was more than enough food. That said, if you are strictly a meat-only person, this might not be your ideal spot. The seafood pancake and kimchi stew deserve just as much attention as the meat! The real surprise though: while it is not AYCE, they quietly rolled out AYCD all you can drink for $14 back in November. Yes, you read that right. So plan accordingly. Bring a DD or call a Lyft because things can escalate quickly. We ended up with two bottles of soju and two large Cass beers, which would have easily been double the AYCD price. Sodas are also included. One of the better deals you will find in this city. Service was excellent across the board. Tyler, who is half Japanese and half White, handled the brisket and short ribs like a pro. Our tattooed Chinese server, who looked intimidating at first glance, turned out to be incredibly friendly and grilled the pork jowl perfectly. Everyone else kept the banchan coming with a smile. By the time we finished, we had to walk laps around the shopping center just to recover. We left full, slightly buzzed, and, fittingly, feeling like a couple of very giant hobaks.
