I'll make this quick, if you have other options for a meal- take the other option. This was a complete abs utter waste of time abs money. The building itself is lovely inside. It really gives a good impression when you're headed to be seated. But once the food comes, that facade fades... Quickly. I ordered a $16.50 Oyster Po-Boy. It arrived and turned out to be 6 oysters, on a glorified hot dog roll, accompanied by a half order of fries. I'm not kidding you. Plate looked as if someone had already eaten part of my food. I at least had hopes that the oysters would be down right delicious, wrong again. They were below average. The fries were pretty good, and if I'd had more of them, I might have enjoyed this I'll fated visit a little more. The hubby had the Crawfish Loaf, which he said was good. The "Seafood" Gumbo turned out to be more chicken than actual seafood. He also reported the taste as "not great". Our Server was nice, but clearly had too many tables to be as helpful as needed. And it's surprising, because they seemed overrun by staff: Needless to say, we left feeling like this had been an hour of our lives we'd lost and wished we'd had back. This place we have eaten at another location. But I don't remember it leaving a good mark on me , but this one was awesome . Had the watermelon basil martini ( maybe a tad more basil needed as I love basil . We shared the bacon jam oysters OMG soooooo good! Loved them we wanted more! I had for my meal the smoked tuna salad I was kinda skeptical about getting it fearing of the smokiness , perfect ! I will deff be back to this place ! I ordered the Margarita Shrimp and Scallop appetizer, the Seafood Stuffed Portobellos, and Key Lime Pie. We came all the way from MI where restaurant dine in service have been closed for nearly a yea. We drove nearly 30 minutes to visit this restaurant from where we were staying because someone on out group wanted half shell grilled oysters. This place did not disappoint. When entered, the hostess, Bridget, was NOT friendly or welcoming. She is the first person when entering, so she should be impressionable. She was NOT. Nice ambiance and the waitress Christina was very attentive and friendly. I ordered fried green tomatoes and they were amazing. The batter and sauce were superb. The seafood Alfredo was very tasty, but, the sauce was very dry. It could have been creamier. I added water to loosen the sauce up and then the consistency was just right. The portion was too small. The side salad was excellent. Overall, the food and dining experience was very good. BUT.. get a different hostess!! I will dine here again. read more

I haven't been this disappointed in a meal in a very long time. The oysters were dry with no butter sauce and when I asked for sauce she brought back cold butter sauce... not to mention we didn't get bread with it. I ordered wings and specifically asked how many come with it. 6, 10 or 12 and she said it's weighed. When I got my food I had pieces of chicken that looked like lil nugget bites you get from Walmart food section. My wife's pasta wasn't seasoned at all. This was very distasteful experience, Especially when you're someone who eats out all the time and to spend $70.00 for not getting what's expected is devastating. I'm not coming back. 6/12/20,,,drove up from Tampa to see my God daughters and to have some good food. Let me start by saying our waiter Jariah was really really really good. Sometimes we aren't the easiest to deal with. He was patient and explained everything that we had questions about pertaining to ingredients. I have a tomato allergy so he was offering suggestions as well. The food has always been good but some of the dishes are very salty -ex Oysters Orleans. Service and Ambiance is good.

The chargrilled oysters were great but the grilled redfish were a bit salty. The lemonade was very tasty given that is is just MinuteMaid. The redfish came with asparagus that was topped with this Gorgonzola butter that mother nor I ordered and was charged an $1 each for it. But to really kick things up a notch, the waitress I assume, added an extra $3 to her already $9 tip. My bill was $71.03 pre tip, I tipped $9 bringing the total to $80.05. I checked my bank statement this morning and to my surprise, the charge posted as $83.05.. This establishment employs THIEVES! Beware of this before dining. The chargrilled oysters were okay, but made me sad yet again that Acme Oyster House closed because their's were so much better. My smoky bacon shrimp and cheddar grits was great. My husband's shrimp trio was nothing to write home about, but we're born-and-raised Louisianans, so we've had awesome shrimp; these were just so so. We ordered apps and 2 meals from an empty bar seating. The bartender forgot the appetizer, the food took almost 45 minutes to arrive, and the place was empty except for 3 or 4 tables in the dining room and an empty bar area. All that aside the food was horrible. There bad and then there's the 'half shell' All we could say was WOW that Su*ked. And the prices were extremely overpriced. I guess they thought they were in the caliber as Del Friscos. Needless to say we'll NEVER be back and save your hard earned money. This place was jammin! We stopped in for a quick bite while exploring Covington. It was Father's Day so it was busting at the seams with people BUT the service was top notch even with the busy crowd! Our food was so good too! Drinks were great. We actually sat at the bar because we didn't want to have to wait to be seated. Glad we did because the bartender, Ashley, was quite the entertainment. She was getting out drinks like I've never seen and they all looked so pretty and mine tasted great. She was also super attentive despite and very friendly. This was our 3rd time going there and disappointed yet again! I wanted a Hurricane like I've gotten previously and was told they don't have them. I ordered the seafood pot pie with broccoli and hush puppies. I get my plate and it looks like a peice of old brown drywall on my plate. Needless to say, NOT what I expected! I had fries which I did not order and burnt hush puppies. I sent it back and just opted for a cup of crawfish soup which was probably from Sysco. I will never go back. Third strike and out.
