Lindsey S. was amazing as a server. I strongly recommend her as a well paid manager because she did three jobs tonight. I frequent this restaurant on a regular basis and tonight's service surpassed them all. Sean is my guy but Lindsey went above and beyond. Server Ben...dude actually cares about customers. Please sit in his station. read more

I had family passing through last week who wanted to meet for lunch and they wanted chargrilled oysters close to the interstate if possible, so I suggested Half Shell. I had been here two previous times and it wasn't much to speak of - once with coworkers for one's birthday and the second time my husband wanted to check it out but both times it was just underwhelming and chain-y, but it fit my family's request so that's where we went. When we got to the restaurant there were only 2 or 3 other tables full. The waitress came and took our drink orders. We were informed that the soft drink machine had been broken and they did not know when the repair person was coming and that we could only order water, tea, or alcohol. Winn-Dixie is just across the parking lot - why in the world couldn't someone go over there and get some - at least main flavors like Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite?? The waitress brought our teas and we ordered oysters and Boudin balls. She was pretty scarce after that. It seemed like a long time before we got this food but later we were told it was "only "16 minutes. At some point we ordered the rest of our food, which was two chicken salads. We waited for what seemed like forever. By that time the restaurant was much fuller and we realized that a few tables that were sat after us had already received their food. We spotted our waitress here and there but she never stopped at our table unless we flagged her down. We asked what was taking so long because it had been quite a while since we had ordered; we mentioned to her that we noticed other tables who ordered after us getting their food. She immediately got defensive and said "I put the food in on time". I don't necessarily believe that the customer is always right but in this case, all three of us knew we had waited too long and for her to actually go and get the kitchen ticket to try to show that she did her part - it rubbed the wrong way. She came back to the table with our salads and then pulled out the ticket and pointed out that it only took us 16 minutes to get our appetizers and then told us that our salads took an additional 30 minutes. She said she was going to see what she could do and would go talk to the manager and that if he thought it took too long to get our food they would compensate us. When she came back she had our bill and said that he agreed to comp the price of the food and we would only have to pay for the tea that we ordered. We were not looking for a free meal but at this point we just wanted to finish eating and get out of there. Then at some point she came back to the table and grabbed the check and said she had given us the wrong one. She told us she would be back with the correct check but never came back. Someone in our party got up to look for her and ended up talking to the manager about it. When she finally came back several minutes later with the check, she said "by the way, I have to charge you for the oysters as well". Again, not a big deal. All in all it was just such a weird experience service-wise. As for the food, the person who ate the oysters said they were good; the boudin balls were very dry with not much flavor, and our salads tasted good but it was clear that the chicken had literally just been cooked. Piping hot chicken on top of a cool salad is a big no-no for me. This trip sealed the deal...no reason to go back. read more

We dined with Riley on 2/8/23, and he was hands down the best waiter we have ever had! So welcoming and kind. I would trust his opinion no matter what! I find they are good but overpriced but I am of course from the south shore so it's cheaper over there to eat seafood because it's closer to the restaurants. But they do have really good charbroiled oysters! read more

The food was great. Our waiter Shawn was awesome and made us feel very welcome. Restroom was super clean, a plus in my book.

Always wonderful service & great food! Thank you to Tata & Brooke, as well as the other waitstaff.

I was in the night after Christmas. I sat at the bar and the service was excellent but not hovering. I ordered the Margarita Shrimp and Scallop appetizer, the Seafood Stuffed Portobellos, and Key Lime Pie. Everything was very good, although the shrimp and scallops were a little bland for my taste, they were as expected. read more

I have to say that I have not been to a restaurant in the past 3 years that made me this happy. Me and the hubby have not been able to have a date night in a while.. We stared with the crab and shrimp dip.... and then I had the 13oz Ribeye with fried okra and a salad.. My husband had The big easy surf and turf... and then we finished it up with the banana foster cheesecake and the cinnamon roll banana bread.... When entered, the hostess, Bridget, was NOT friendly or welcoming. She is the first person when entering, so she should be impressionable. She was NOT. Nice ambiance and the waitress Christina was very attentive and friendly. I ordered fried green tomatoes and they were amazing. The batter and sauce were superb. The seafood Alfredo was very tasty, but, the sauce was very dry. It could have been creamier. I added water to loosen the sauce up and then the consistency was just right. The portion was too small. The side salad was excellent. Overall, the food and dining experience was very good. BUT.. get a different hostess!! I will dine here again. read more

I haven't been this disappointed in a meal in a very long time. The oysters were dry with no butter sauce and when I asked for sauce she brought back cold butter sauce... not to mention we didn't get bread with it. I ordered wings and specifically asked how many come with it. 6, 10 or 12 and she said it's weighed. When I got my food I had pieces of chicken that looked like lil nugget bites you get from Walmart food section. My wife's pasta wasn't seasoned at all. This was very distasteful experience, Especially when you're someone who eats out all the time and to spend $70.00 for not getting what's expected is devastating. I'm not coming back. Straight trash. read more

Ordered Togo at the bar. Lindsey S. Did great. Had the sauces put on the side without being asked. Asked if I needed Togo silverware which is great, because they usually just pile up at my house. Best service in awhile. Food is worth the value. read more

Our server, Hope was awesome. Very sweet and accommodating. We had a party of 8 and everything was absolutely great.

6/12/20,,,drove up from Tampa to see my God daughters and to have some good food. Let me start by saying our waiter Jariah was really really really good. Sometimes we aren't the easiest to deal with. He was patient and explained everything that we had questions about pertaining to ingredients. I have a tomato allergy so he was offering suggestions as well. I had the charbroiled oysters and the rocafeller which were amazing. I really appreciate good service and food. The best combination to find in a restaurant. Thank you guys!!! read more

I love eating here for date night- the oysters are impeccable every time! Hands down, the best on the Northshore ! read more

Great food and service. Tata Hailey and OG all amazing servers. Beer selection is vast.

The food has always been good but some of the dishes are very salty -ex Oysters Orleans. Service and Ambiance is good.

Benjamin was our waiter and he was very accommodating. Great waiter. Very attentive. We ordered the grilled oysters . They were delicious. Also ordered Shrimp and grits with bacon off the lunch menu. They also were very good. My husband ordered fried shrimp. Everything was very tasty. We will be back. read more

The waiter, Reily, was fantastic! Great drink and food recommendations. This restaurant and its staff were the best! I highly recommend!!

The chargrilled oysters were okay, but made me sad yet again that Acme Oyster House closed because their's were so much better. My smoky bacon shrimp and cheddar grits was great. My husband's shrimp trio was nothing to write home about, but we're born-and-raised Louisianans, so we've had awesome shrimp; these were just so so. Our child's item said "boneless chicken wings" on the menu, but were really just chicken nuggets in sauce, not wings. We can finally scratch this place off our list, but likely won't be back. That's okay. 3 people = $100. read more

A bit pricy for the quality. Food fairly well prepared though small details (pasta strands stuck together) and scorched garlic were missed. Chargrilled oysters were a bit dry (and unusually small) which may chalk up to seasonal variation. A fine option if you want to avoid the lines at more popular establishments but a notch below. read more

The chargrilled oysters were great but the grilled redfish were a bit salty. The lemonade was very tasty given that is is just MinuteMaid. The redfish came with asparagus that was topped with this Gorgonzola butter that mother nor I ordered and was charged an $1 each for it. But to really kick things up a notch, the waitress I assume, added an extra $3 to her already $9 tip. My bill was $71.03 pre tip, I tipped $9 bringing the total to $80.05. I checked my bank statement this morning and to my surprise, the charge posted as $83.05.. This establishment employs THIEVES! Beware of this before dining. I will never patronize this establishment ever again. read more

This place is so nice. The decor is beautiful, the wait staff is knowledgeable, friendly and the service excellent. The oyster sampler is absolutely delicious we loved it!
