We ordered lamb sharwama and my husband has chicken with rice we also ordered side of hummus. The food was very delicious i mean everything was very fresh and dam for one person they give you soooooo much food which is nice I will eat it for lunch tomm. The only thing I would probably change is putting the red sauce and white sauce on side that way I can control how much I want I def liked the red sauce more and would have liked a lil more on the side. But overall thank you for your wonderful food and serving people during this time I will order again and try something else read more

Ambience - a very modern style restaurant with most the colors being black and white with some splashes of red. The furniture is very simplistic and there isnt any real decor anywhere. Very simple and sleek and a very clean store. They have i guess either Pandora or some kind of hip hop, rap and r&b radio station playing overhead. It was very interesting eating my meal while hearing some hip hop about people slapping hoes and riding cash money for drugs. I had no idea Halal was so thug or gangster. Because none of the songs were filtered, which is fine by me, doesnt bother me. It was just an interesting duo of falafel and gangsta rap. Pretty dope i guess lol. Overall thou it is a really nice store Menu - very simple menu to follow. You basically choose whatever protein you want and then choose if you what it in a pita, salad, rice and so on. They do have the standard options of proteins that you would find anywhere. They do have a nice selection of bottles beverages. Some of these thinks i have never seen before. Which was kinda cool. They have Maine Root for your carbonated water desires. Which i love Maine Root brand, they have some great soda pop. Menu thou is very straightforward and simple that hits all the main items you would expect to find. Nothing unusual or signature but just the good ole traditional favorites. Service - The service was actually a tad higher than i expected from a fast casual joint. The cashier guy was very friendly, always smiling and made idle chit chat with all the guests and me included. He seemed fairly genuine in his conversations and had a great demeanor. You could see 2 of the cooks in the kitchen and they seem to be in a good mood. So it looked like everyone was enjoying themselves. I only had interaction with the cashier but he was pleasant and friendly Food - I decided on the combination rice plate. The plate comes with gyro and chicken on a bed of Mediterranean rice with a side of chopped lettuce and tomato. Then topped off with the yummy and traditional white and red sauce. When i opened my food up, i was completely shocked at the amount of meat was on my plate. They loaded this baby up with all the glorious dead animal goodness we crave since we were living in caves. There was a very generous amount of meat. Yummy! It was also loaded up with white sauce but only 1 small line of red sauce. Which i thought was odd since i love the heat and i normally get dishes like this with more than just 1 small line. I went and got more without even trying the dish first before adding more red sauce. That was a mistake. I dont know what brand or if they make their own red sauce but this was way more potent than i was used to. It was awesome, i love the heat. But unfortunately, i somewhat overkilled my meal with the sauce. That was my bad, not theirs. So anyways, i mixed everything up and chowed down. The meats were cooked wonderfully. Both were moist and tender and had some great flavor. The rice was fairly average, not much flavor, just there as a filler really. The sauces mixed well with meats, rice and salad thou. Every bite had meat since there was such a nice portion of both. It was a very enjoyable and flavorful meal. I even had leftovers which was nice. So the dish itself was very good. Lots of meat, great flavors and an awesome red sauce. Overall - i really enjoyed my meal. It was tasty, cooked well and i definitely got my moneys worth. The pricing was very reasonable as well. I paid almost $11 for a huge dish and a drink. Not bad at all. The music was kind of weird but oh well. It doesnt have anything out of the usual that you would find anywhere else. But it was one of the better places i have been based off of the portion size and how well it was cooked. A step above average i would say. read more

Amazing Gyro Wraps! The best wraps I've ever had in my life. I took my stepmother there and she thought the same thing! My wife and daughter love this place too! The meat over rice is also good but not as good as the wraps. Some of the other stuff was just ok. The hummus and dolmeh are alright but nothing special. Overall though, it's fantastic food at a very reasonable price! Every time I go there I get a gyro wrap and am always tempted to get two because it's so delicious! read more

I was introduced to Mediterranean food at Peace Bakery on Braker and Lamar. So, with that been said, I gotta say this place is not as good as other people make it seem. I order food right before they were going to close so maybe that is the reason why I got bad tasting food. It was late and I was hungry so I ate it but that hummus is not the hummus I'm used to eating. The falafel was hard on one side and it was small. Overall a bad experience even though I tried really hard to like it because this restaurant is closer to home than Peace Bakery. Will not try again. We got lamb shawarma over rice & chicken kebab over salad. Both were delicious, and the portions were large enough to provide leftovers. We have ordered from Halal before and it was just as delicious. I recommend to add hummus to your entree or order some as a side. read more

So the fries are pricey, but the portion is outrageous--enough for three people and very tasty. We ordered the standard gyros, but with added falafel, which was okay, but I would not get that combination again. I saw people eating the huge green salads and they looked fantastic. One of the managers checked on us and gave us some background on the company, which we enjoyed. Overall welcoming, clean environment. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!! I put in an order 2 weeks ago and still have not gotten my refund yet nor has anyone contacted me. It's for at least $50 and I've put in multiple email responses and haven't gotten a hold of anyone. The manager on duty that I talked too said he could not do anything and that I have to wait. We have eaten at this location a couple of times and were pleased with the food. The portion sizes are HUGE (you can easily make 2+ meals from one order), tastes delicious- just the right amount of spices on the meat (gyro) and veggies are fresh and crisp. What stood out to me tonight was the customer service. Due to current Covid situation everything is delivery/pick up only. Our DoorDash order was messed up and we received someone else's order. The best DoorDash customer service can do is offer a refund, but we still needed to eat! Aaron at Halal was extremely accommodating and apologetic about the mix-up. He had a new order made up for us and ready to be picked up within 10 minutes of me talking to him about the delivery error. All service workers are working extra hours and going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction despite circumstances beyond their control- Aaron/ Halal Bros definitely demonstrated that effort for us. So it used to be really incredible. Tonight the fries were burnt, my food hardly had any chicken and was really dry. We asked for extra red sauce and was told no. You'd think a $50 order could be given a side of sauce. I understand it's covid, but I also think that supporting local businesses is easier when the customer is appreciated and the food is good. Best lamb kebab I've had in a long time! It was very juicy definitely not short on flavor. I will say it was a bit messy but worth it every single time! You will love their sauce they put on it as well. Only suggestion I have for them was how big the cuts of meat was in the kebab. Not impressed. It smelled like a wet rag inside the restaurant. The falafel was really good as was the baklava, but the dolmas were dry and too tangy. The pita was thin and hard to tear. I don't love giving negative reviews but it was just underwhelming. It wasn't bad, and there was a lot of food, but for the the price I wasn't a fan. The chicken shawarma was good and the flavor of the rice was good, but the tomatoes, lettuce and onions seemed low quality, like what you would get at a cheap salad bar. The sauce tastes like mayo with some spice. Great on fries, not as great on what's supposed to be a Mediterranean dish. Ended up tasting kinda like a burger I a bowl with rice. read more

While I understand the need to not accept cash using covid-19, (even though places are taking cash) it is frustrating to come in for lunch during work, and there's no sign saying "we are no longer accepting cash" and placing my order, and then being told that the cashier won't accept it. I got a to go order of the shwarma chicken and a sandwich, didn't get dressing for my salad so I had to eat a dry salad, and not to mention the chicken was SO bland, I wish I wouldn't have wasted my money and made a better salad at home. Asked for extra pickles, got charged for it and never got extra (I got it to go for a reason, I couldn't not go back as I was heading back to work) the tomatoes tasted old and the chicken sauce also had no flavor everything didn't taste very fresh. I asked for no onions on the sandwich because of a food allergy and the sandwich had massive chunks of onion so I couldn't eat it. Update Gave this Place Another try today with my lady and our two young kids. We all loved it. A couple hiccups in the beginning but was made right. The cook accidentally put hot sauce in the kids gyro's even though the cashier noted not too. They were nice about remaking the order (we dine in) we got our food with no issues and loved it. The second hiccup was the inappropriate music bunch of curse words which i told the employee to change it. Which he did immediately but the food reminds me of standing on the side walk on the new york city streets waiting for that delicious halal food with the new york city background noise lol..and oh for the people bitching about wait times this isn't a "Fast Food Place" its halal food takes a while so stop complaining about wait times you can always go to the nearest McDonalds read more

I have an allergy to dairy and egg. I explained this multiple times to the cashier taking my order. We checked the pita packaging for dairy and egg, all clear. We had another employee call up the owner or manager etc and confirm the marinade for chicken and beef didn't contain dairy or egg. The employee explained only the gyro meat is marinated in dairy so "you are good because you got the chicken and beef wraps". The white sauce contains dairy. I specifically ordered a beef and a chicken wrap with no sauce and veggies. To my dismay I opened both wraps at home and BOTH were slathered in spicy white sauce.
