Wow, this place is legit! The lady who took our order was so nice & pleasant. The food was really good! I ordered Beef kebab over rice. It served with fresh veggies, which is nice. The food is ok, but the meat was very hard chewing and hard cutting with the plastic knife. There are only 2 sauces available- red hot sauce and mayonnaise, so was hard to eat dry food. I know that other Mediterranean restaurants provide yogurt based sauces. The gyro over rice is a ton of food, great value. And so fresh. Crisp lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber. It's also too much for me to eat in one sitting even sharing with my kiddos so it's like a bonus meal in that I get to enjoy it twice. . Love the sauces on top (the red is too spicy for my kids but they inhale the white yogurt sauce. I love a mix). The owner plied us with tons of extra pita last time (the hummus is so fresh tasting!) On Friday 7/26, I did an online group order for my work department. Unfortunately online does not allow you enter the pick-up time. I've worked with this in the past and call the store directly once I place the order and I advise them of the requested pick-up time. This time was different, and the store did not answer their phone after 30+ back-to-back calls. I was unsure if the store might be closed due to workers not coming in I had to drop everything and leave work early to pick up the lunch for my group meeting. When I get there, I ask the waiter if their phone was working, and he says he's not sure, gave no explanation and never tried to test the phone line. He was zero help and showed zero concern. Yes I was frustrated a bit, but was still professional with him. Unfortunately the food was already ready. When I arrive back ah the office for our meeting time, the food was already kind of cold due to the time lapse. The same day I also went on the Halal Bros corporate website and left my phone number for a call back to place a complaint. I got an automated return e-mail saying my message had been received. It's now been a week later and still no call back. Fortunately the food was still great, but the lack of customer care and concern in this case is subpar! In fairness, I give 3 stars instead of 1 as all of my other experiences have been positive. read more

Finally got the chance to go here,I'm from California and they are super popular was so happy to have one open here.They are in a public parking lot next to Torchies tacos.When you walk in the greet you and you walk up to counter to order your food then sit down.They also have main root soda.i ordered a side of dolmas,Hummus and falafel and the combo over rice chicken and gyro along with a side of dolmas. They serve it with hello rice and vegetables and hot sauce and white sauce.Overall it was pretty good we went back again last night and the quality is great! We will back! read more

Beware when ordering online or from their third party ChowNow, if your order is not in stock they will complete the sale but if you need a refund they you have to go back through the third party app... chownow provides great service as they have tried to reach halal bros to confirm the refund, however the person answering the phones will pick up the phone and hang up on them not allowing confirmation for the refund. I literally watched this happen as I was on the phone with the chow now representative. I used to eat here regularly but I fear it's time to find a new halal restaurant with less shady practices. read more

My family tried take out here on a whim and so glad we did. Since then, we've done take out here at least 4 other times, and my kids are always asking when we can order again. All but one of the meals were spot on (the meat wasn't as flavorful the last time we ordered and the meal was topped with spicy sauce despite requesting no sauce). Despite this last experience, I can confidently say their food is a million times better than The Kebab Shop. Now fast forward 20 years and I move to Austin and they have store fronts popping up with halal food. Obviously you don't get these experience of eating I nyc street corner but the food is pretty legit. Same quality, same freshness and piping hot like on nyc streets. Last night we went to this place on 620 right next to torchys. Place was not busy which kinda worked out for us. We orders gyro wrap and a chicken over rice that comes with salad. I need a sixth star! My coworker and I came here for lunch and were blown away by our experience. I ordered the gyro and loved every part of it. It was huge, fresh, and tasty. The lamb was seasoned great and they accommodated me leaving out the rice and replacing it with salad. They even have white and hot sauce containers on the table.
