The cabinets are all plywood construction with wood dovetail drawers, HDF doors and drawer fronts; soft close drawers and doors. I can't comment on assembly but the instructions seemed fairly straightforward. We were on a time crunch as we needed cabinets quickly so we can have our floating LVP floors installed. The quality of cabinets was better than I anticipated and I especially loved that the sides are all finished (we didn't have to pay extra). We did pay a nominal amount for them to assemble them for us, AND we were still able to pick them up the same day!!!! Todd & Ryan were simply great, from showing us different features, explaining assembly, turning our order around quickly, and loading them with extreme care. I am very pleased and wouldn't hesitate to recommend these cabinets or their shop. And when I am need of new/additional cabinets I will definitely go back. Finally, the prices were very good; in fact less expensive than express cabinets at the big box stores and definitely faster. A win, win, win!!

I…read morevisited recently on my search for raw materials to duplicate a stacked stone landscaping wall. I have a contractor on standby, willing to do the work if I supply the materials. I've been carrying around one of the stones to match up but am finding most stone yards have business hours the same as I work. Fortunately I was able to get to Penn Stone since they're located in Lancaster City by the Clipper Stadium before closing with some time to browse. I went inside their office to inquire on how this works. A nice gentleman took my name and wrote it on a long piece of yellow tape. This is how you "tag" your materials, similar to how you would a Christmas tree. He lead me straight to the area I needed to be after looking at my sample stone. I was able to find a pretty close match within 5 minutes. Here's when things got tripped up. A skid is $290 and included delivery, however they don't deliver that small of quantity. So you have to tag, pay, and wait until they get a big order in your area (not even a bunch of small orders) for it to be delivered. While he said they are in my area "often", with a contractor on standby there was just too many variables to commit. I even offered to pay extra for delivery with a firm day, which they said they can't do. The stone yard is only 5 miles away. I wish they had more delivery options available. I did find their prices inline with other local stone supplies I've researched online. Who knows, if I am able to work something out with my contractor I may be back to place the order, however do feel that's a pretty crappy policy for delivery. Also worth noting, while the office closes at 5, the stone yard is only available till 4:30 - it's dirty, uneven, and dusty, although organized well if you know what you're looking for. Be mindful of what shoes you wear. I came straight from the office so my sandals were filthy when I left. Parking was also confusing - I had no idea where I should park so I parked in the stone yard itself. If coming from the east, be careful as there's a blind corner you need to cross to access their property and cars were flying thru. There's a nice "sample" outdoor space highlighting some of the products available that's beautiful and could be a source of inspiration or a relaxing spot to decide on how to proceed.

The staff have always knowledgeable and helpful, sometimes even taking the time to listen to me describe the small projects I've been working on and recommending the right tool or item needed to complete it. Yes, the store's stock isn't as big as those at Home Depot, Lowes or Ace Hardware down the road, but anything from the True Value website can be ordered and picked up at at this location. The prices here are comparable with the other hardware stores as well, especially when you factor in the cost of driving elsewhere. Plus the customer service you get here is priceless.

I had explained what I wanted a quote on (flooring) and had scheduled a day for a quote. I had reached out to NHF and explained that I would be out of town 4/12, but my realtor and mother would be present and know exactly what I wanted done. 4/20...I'm still waiting on a quote. I reached out to Susan who was very pleasant and stated she would call me back after speaking with Chip. Chip called me back within 5 minutes (called me Nathan, my name is Zachary) and was very rude on the phone, stating he was blind sided when her got to the property. He said he didn't know what to measure (why would you agree to do a quote without knowing what needed to be measured before hand?) even though my realtor, mother and Susan (sales clerk) knew exactly what I wanted. My realtor reported he wasn't very approachable. Come to find out he never measured and left, never informing me of this. Meanwhile, I'm sitting around waiting on a quote. I will never use NHF for anything. It sucks because Susan was great and they have great products. Chip needs to take a class on customer service etiquette. Go to Weckers, better customer service!

Once again we used North Hills Flooring to perform work in our home and we are absolutely thrilled…read morewith the service, materials and professional workmanship. The job site was kept immaculately clean throughout each work day with a final clean at the end of work day #5. With due care, we were able to use our kitchen and access the stairs to our 2nd floor while the work was being performed. The disgusting DIY flooring was demolished, the existing subfloor was screwed down virtually eliminating all of the existing floor squeaks, the installer relieved a hump in the middle of the kitchen, installed the Luan underlayment to the existing subfloor with literally thousands of staples, and sealed all joints with Ardex. The installer expertly trimmed underneath all wood moldings and kitchen cabinets so that the LVT could be installed underneath instead of just abutting the moldings and cabinets. There were 5 major areas that needed to be squared on the floor prior to laying out the tiles, cementing the underlayment, and installing the LVT. All 3 of the cased wall openings received identical reveals between the LVT and other flooring materials. New shoe moldings, cove base and transition strips were installed, and the entire job site was cleaned squeaky clean. This was the 3rd project done for us in our home by North Hills Flooring, and we will definitely use them once again during our next remodel. The owners, Chip & Susan Weile, are extremely knowledgeable about the products they sell, and they both have an artistic eye toward home interior design.
