I will share that his space is very minimal, no heater to speed up the color lightening process . He called this "organic " and had me sit on a bench outside for the heat where ants were crawling too. Yuk. I was looking like a crazy woman with foil all over my hair as shoppers walked about to the adjoining shops In the mall. For the price I don't think this is good service . I wouldn't go back for these reasons. But his work in images shows he does quality work--it's just not for me.

Rather than offering to fix the hair he messed up, he told me to use baking soda and lemon to fix it! RIDICULOUS! This hairdresser sent a rude message saying he would not accept any future appointments (not that I was planning on going back after this last horrific appointment) Do your research before wasting your time and money here.

My hair looks nearly identical to how it did before I walked in. On top of that, she seemed rushed and clearly pressed for time, which showed in the lack of care and attention. What's worse is that I wasn't even properly informed about what was being done. It wasn't until I pointed out a gray hair during the blow-dry that she casually mentioned the dye was only semi-permanent -- something that should have been clearly explained upfront. For that price, the results and communication were completely unacceptable. I left feeling misled, rushed through, and extremely dissatisfied. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values transparency and quality service. Don't let the customer service persona fool you.

    I had an extremely disappointing experience trying to book an appointment at Salon 184. She kept cutting me off mid sentence, didn't let me explain myself, and rushed me the entire time, all while I was simply trying to say that I had been calling for the past two days with no answer. When I asked about Nelson, she told me he was on vacation, again cutting me off and being completely unprofessional in her tone. I finally told her she was being rude and asked to speak with someone else, specifically Maria, who I knew was part of the team. The conversation with Maria was at least more polite and respectful. She listened, explained that Nelson was out, and took my number. However, when I asked who Monica was, she told me that Monica was also one of the owners. I explained how disrespectful Monica had been, and rather than apologizing, Maria tried to excuse her behavior by saying they were having a tough day and that the computer system was down. She even said she was sitting next to Monica during the call and that it "wasn't that bad." Let me be very clear...I felt ignored, dismissed, and completely undervalued as a potential customer. Justifying rude behavior because you're having a bad day is not acceptable, especially not from a business owner. Maria's response essentially condoned Monica's unprofessionalism. It was shocking. I told them to delete my number and that I would not be visiting the salon...ever. And I absolutely would NOT recommend this place to anyone. If this is how they treat people over the phone, I can only imagine what the in-person experience might be like. Terrible, unprofessional, and disappointing. Avoid Salon 184.

After booking and paying a deposit, I received a call stating that the time and service was incorrectly scheduled. On top of that, I wasn't even asked about the service I selected (Color Package 4, the highest package) to ensure everything was set up correctly. To make matters worse, while I was initially able to book a later time online, I was then asked to come earlier. This was fine with me, and I was told the technician would stay, and we wouldn't finish until 11 PM. By this point, my hair (or myself) hadn't even been seen yet. I understand that prices can change, but this situation made it hard to enjoy the experience, especially as a busy mom who rarely has time to pamper herself. Additionally, while the website recommends a consultation, the call felt more like reading the rules on the site rather than a personalized conversation, which I did take the time to read as it has taken me some time to try and find a new salon that is closer to my home. Better communication and a more thoughtful approach would have gone a long way. Overall, I hope the business can improve its customer service and communication so clients feel valued before they even arrive.

Appointments I make 3-6 months in advance. They request I change my appointment to accommodate other customers. I generally agree to change my appointment. Today I called to change tomorrow's appointment last minute because I was in the ER Sunday and my doctor called to see me tomorrow at 8am. My appointment was at 9am. They wouldn't even offer to give me 15min grace period which is pretty standard. I was charged the cancellation fee. I would be fine with this policy if I did not have to accommodated them by changing my appointments as often as I have over the 3-4 years I have been a customer at LMG. If they require customers to cancel appointments more than 24hrs in advance then they must do the same for customers. If they move customers around to fit it more appointments often then they should allow a one-time courtesy of allowing the customer to change the day before their appointment. I would recommend trying a salon which offers better customer service to long time customers before booking at LMG.
