I got exactly the haircut I wanted and felt great after. The only kind of funny thing is the mirrors at each chair, they're not like a regular set up. Big tall mirrors are sort of angled against the wall so you will be seeing yourself at a strange angle. I'm sure it's for the design of the space rather than utility but had to share only because I was sincerely looking up my own nose most of the time while having my hair worked on. I have often left The Lift with hair cut so unevenly that I have had to even it out myself at home. My son just got his hair cut again after his last one there, and the new hairdresser pointed out that there was a huge difference in length between the R and L side over his ears. Sadly, after a decade as a loyal customer,I won't be returning to The Lift.

We arrived a few minutes early for a ten o'clock appointment and experienced almost no wait. Our stylist, Samantha, was efficient and patient with our squirmy wormy. In total, I think it took maybe 15 minutes and we are pleased with the way his big boy haircut looks and with how well he was treated. I also appreciated that the salon seemed to be low sales pressure. Samantha only recommended a product for his wispy hair after we asked about it. Many reviewers have commented on the certificate you're given after the haircut. It is printed on card stock, your child's name is written with marker and there is a square cut out near the bottom for the hair they gather for you to be displayed in a small plastic bag. It isn't something I would display on a wall, but it is fine for sticking in a scrapbook and at $20 I really was more concerned that my son had a good experience. We will most likely be returning here in a few weeks after his hair has grown out even though it is a 30 minute drive for us.
