Grace did an amazing job on my hair! I got it cut from long to medium with layers and some mild curtain bangs. She was incredibly friendly, attentive and really listened to what I wanted. She did detailed work and took her time to get everything even and perfect. For $40, you cannot beat this experience. This also included a shampoo wash. Everything was clean and orderly. There is paid street parking outside. read more

Sadly, after a few years, it's time for me to move on to another place. The only way to get an appointment or any info is to call (no website or text available). However, the last few calls, I can only say a sentence before the stylist abruptly hangs up. For example: "Hello, do you have any coloring appointments available ?" "Sorry, no, I work by myself" *hangs up* A few months later: "Hello, do you have a hair cutting appointment this week?" "Sorry, no, we're completely booked. I work by myself" *hangs up* No opportunity to ask for other availabilities or anything (I'm pretty flexible with my schedule but based on my interactions, I have not been able to inquire about alternative times). This has happened at least 4 times so it's a miracle if you can get an appointment before getting hung up on. Also, before, the weekends were walk ins only but once I walked in, and was told to set up an appointment... When I do have an appointment, there's also no confirmation asked either before my session starts. I understand the hair stylist works on her own, but I've been to many small business salons with only 1 stylist and never had this many issues with setting up appointments or feel like the stylist is trying to get me off the phone as soon as possible so she can continue working on current customer (from the times I was able to cut my hair here, this seems to be the case!) read more

Grace is so sweet and cut layers for me beautifully to fit the shape of my face and features. So grateful that she took the time to explain why shes cutting things a certain way even though I fully trusted whatever she did. Also very reasonably priced for the amount of effort and time she puts into your hair, depending on length and style but she also shampoos and blow drys for around $45-50+ for a women's cut and very skilled with Asian hair in particular but has over a decade of experience with all types of hair. Highly recommend!!! read more

Grace is the best! Extremely accommodating, affordable, knowledgeable and kind. I will never go to anyone else in Seattle!!! 10/10 read more

Grace is amazing to work with after get 5 hair cut she was the only one knew and did best hair cut! I high recommend her!

Be wary of them keeping your appointments. I've called on three different occasions, even calling ahead to confirm only to be told "I never made one". Will not be trying again read more

Grace was so kind and asked for my input before and throughout the process. Great deal for a hair cut - approx $50 (tip included) for long hair and it looks great! My appointment was during a heat wave so she put the AC fan on blast. Would recommend to anyone with Asian hair! read more

Grace was really amazing. I, on an impetuous impulse, had decided to cut my own hair, and of course, made mistakes. Grace was lovely enough to fix it for me, and I told her I would trust whatever she did. And my hair came out amazingly! She truly knows asian hair. I honestly don't have much trust for salons, because every time I've had a perm or color, it has turned out not how I wanted. But Grace made my hair turn out amazing! Tip: Grace doesn't do fancy balayages or anything, but she does take last minute calls in, and she tries her best to fit you in! She also will run to the phone to answer your call. She was super friendly and kind. I also saw the cut she did on the guy before me, and he walked out looking really good. :) read more

Grace is AMAZING! The best experience I've had at a haircut. She really hypes you up the whole time you are here. I showed her some reference pictures and she explained what would and wouldn't work with my hair type. She also let me know how I can style it. If you're looking for someone who KNOWS hair, you have to come here! I love the way my hair turned out and will definitely be back. read more

Made a last minute appointment to get my roots touched up and was able to be seen right away. Awesome service, very kind and thorough. She gave me a nice style with curl as well. Hair feels shiny and smooth. My step mom is coming to cut my hair in a few weeks and she's very excited so I opted out of a trim (though I really needed it) I made an appt for a men's cut for my husband tomorrow. Great prices! Support your local business especially during this time. Masks were worn, it was clean inside and I felt safe. read more

Grace is a very nice lady and totally understood what I wanted my haircut to look like after I showed her pictures of how I wanted my pixie to look like. We discussed and and were on the same page before she even started to cut. She understood my difficult coarse stiff Asian which is a god send since I really hate haircuts and it's so hard to find someone who understands this & actually knows how to cut it! Plus she said, she wanted my haircut to be perfect so I could be pretty and who doesn't love compliments? She was very knowledgeable and kindly explained the upkeep for my new haircut. As her credit card machine was broken and I had to go grab some cash, she still cut my hair even after I was massively late for my appointment. I will definitely recommend her to others as we should all support small businesses. PPS, she speaks Mandarin too so please visit her if you want a nice chat! read more

Grace and Samantha are both wonderful. If you're Asian, you know what I mean when I say it's hard to find a hair dresser in the Puget Sound area who can cut Asian hair. Grace and Samantha are the best at it. just show them a picture and they will copy it to perfection. read more

Grace, the owner, was very kind. She recommended what hairstyle would suit me best but still honoring what I had wanted. Normally I only go to super high end $100+ cut salons but after reviewing / researching through different Asian salons I found this place. The reviews of this salon were really outstanding. She's also very quick with cutting which was nice. My boyfriend who is from South Korea was nervous getting his hair cut in America as most of the salons over there are great in achieving very stylish cuts. He was very satisfied with the service and styling here. Thank you Grace I hope your daughter gets into a good university and wishing you luck with your business! read more

I noticed this past November, when in for my trim, that additional men I hadn't seen before were in for their cuts & trims as well. I thought that Grace, the owner, was finally at the stage of entering the post Pandemic period of growth. Those reliable faithful customers had returned in addition to many new ones as well. I was so pleased to see this. Crace has now gotten her business into an extremely reputable one; people are entering and the phone is ringing while she was finishing with me. Thank you Grace for offering us the opportunity to experience a most professional, friendly and informative visit!! Congratulations on making your business one which is envied by your competition... This is my favorite place to get my hair cut! Grace is so sweet and so attentive. She listens to what I want, and makes suggestions based on her experience and expertise. Wow, the owner does such an amazing job on my haircut, good men's haircut is usually rare around the Seattle for such an affordable price. She does really care about how you feel and gives you tips on how to maintain your hair along with what styles look good. She vibes really well with you and she takes care of you for sure! I highly recommend her, she works alone so make sure to give a call before you go! 100/10 :) read more

Wow! So the last person who cut my hair was my husband. This was back in March or April, everything was shut down, and we were sure we were all gonna die. I really needed a haircut then, and things have not improved. This is how nice Grace is: she said my Mister did a nice job! "Very straight!" Grace just gave me a pretty much perfect haircut. It was spooky how she looked at my hair and described exactly what I wanted. Usually I have to talk hairdressers out of going too short, or tell them in painstaking detail how to layer for best results for my problematic, baby-fine, weird texture hair. Not so with Grace: she understood my hair immediately, gave me an impeccable, technically perfect haircut, and is just delightful to boot. A really, really nice lady. The shop is super clean, and I was the only customer. So if you're looking shaggy, go to Grace! She will fix you!!! read more

Solid haircut reasonably priced, cozy, airy salon in Pioneer Square. Grace knows hair, is friendly and accommodating. My boyfriend has been seeing Grace for his haircut for 7 years, we went in to update his look today and Grace did a fantastic job working on both shape and texture. She listened well to what he wanted and knows which haircut works on his hair (fine). Prices are reasonable especially for Pioneer Square - $20 men's haircut, $30 women's, $5 bang trims. Salon has 3 chairs, is clean and brightly lit. Located kitty corner from Zeitgeist Coffee. read more

Stopped by here while visiting from the DC NOVA area, the owner had great service, was super nice, affordable pricing, and gave a great haircut. I asked her to cut it in whatever way she thought would be best and she didn't disappoint. She was very knowledgeable and before doing so she explained why the haircut she would give me would fit well. Will definitely stop by again whenever I come by the Seattle area. read more

You get what you pay for - $22 hair cut seemed too good to be true. Had to come back a second time. In a little less than 30-mins I had my hair washed, cut and barely dried. Unfortunately my bangs as well as layered hairs are uneven. I will be wary about coming back. read more

This is a relatively new[er] shop for the industry (as Grace put it). I walked in during lunch and it was steady. After a few minutes, it was my turn. Grace did a great job with the haircut, but I felt it was slightly too fast/rushed - the shampoo was even shorter than I'm used to. The other gal working seemed less experienced (she asked Grace how to do something). I think I'll be back sometime; she did make me feel somewhat rushed at times but I did sense that pleasant and friendly personality. I'd note that for next time, go slower. It's off the main drag in Pi Sq and they don't get as much foot traffic as other salons in the area do. read more

Hard to find places to cut asian hair well that don't have a huge waitlist. Grace explained her adjustments to the hairstyle I wanted (based on my head shape and face) which gave me extra peace of mind. Service was fast, efficient, and I was happy with the end result read more

Walked in for a hair cut, asked for a U- shaped trim. My hair looks PIXELED! I showed a picture of a naturally layered cut, grace said she can accommodate and do it the way I want to. My hair is not layered properly but instead I have uneven lengths on my left and right side. Do not get layers here if you are looking for that look. I paid $30 not including tip because I cut off 3 inches (I had long hair) -- I thought long hair started at $25... I guess for Seattle, the price is cheap but I do not recommend this place as I will have to get another hair cut later. I felt bad asking for a re-cut so I wasn't able to do it (and I am not sure if I even want to get my hair fixed here), but I will have to go to a different salon to get a trim now. Trying to save money on hair isn't the best idea when you have to get another haircut within 7 days because you are so unhappy with the cheap haircut. Keep that in mind read more

I am not Asian and but Grace has given me awesome haircuts, ha ha. I only said that because I saw so many compliments from Asians and I don't want people to think that Grace can't cut other people's hair. I have been going for over a year and will continue to go. I was worried because I was used to paying considerably more for my hair - but the haircuts have been wonderful and I have received many compliments from friends. Grace sells good products and now has a wonderful ginger shampoo. What more can I say? Give Grace at hair Gallery a call. read more
