Donna founder and owner of Hair Drama is an AMAZING hairstylist. I am so thankful I found her when we moved to DFW over 6 years ago. Hair drama is a full service salon - extensions, color, and cut. Donna is so fun, a genuine sweetheart, and a great listener. You know, the kind you can tell anything to and without judgement from her. Is she one of the the cheapest in town? No, but I did that in college and learned my lesson after one very bad haircut! LOL She is competitively priced, and based on her years of experience I consider her services a great value. I trust her implicitly, and when I want a different cut or color I give her full reign to do what she thinks is best. She is truly an artist! Donna never tries to sell you services or products you don't need! She's never about the money. She's about making you leave completely happy about your experience and feeling great about your hair. read more

She claims to work magic. I had gone to someone else and did not like the result. She would not even consult or look at my hair before turning me down. I had been there several times before. Even paid for extensions. That I immediately had removed. Not for me. read more

Donna has been doing my hair for years and I couldn't be more thankful! Never have I met anyone so supportive or woman and made me truly care about my hair. After all these years I still highly recommend her. When you see all 5 star review from dedicated pleased clients but 1 , clearly there's false news being thrown around. Donna has always been up front with me about pricing when I ask and has never misrepresented herself or her services. I recommend her to everyone and have yet for a friend to be disappointed!!! Highly recommend 5 years ago and still today! You're in good hands at Hair Drama! read more

I would not recommend using Donna at Hair Drama. The name of the business explains her services. I showed many photos of what I wanted my hair to look like ( which was blonde all over with a bit of brown at the roots. When I was done with my color I was so unhappy because it was opposite of the color I wanted, it was brown all over with a few blonde highlights. I couldn't have made it clearer as I showed her several photos of what I was wanting. I was quoted up to $120 so I booked in to have it done. When she was all done it was around $600. when I explained that I was mortified at her prices she discounted it to $450. That price was never discussed, or explained to me before or throughout the process. To me this is unethical and price gouging. I will not return and will tell all my friends and business associates not to ever use Hair Drama in Grapevine. REPLY TO OWNER: My hair was a little dry. However, you looked at it and felt it and said it was in good condition to color as you did. You also stated after my color that my hair felt great. But it "wasn't burnt" like you said in your reply Or you wouldn't have colored my hair! I immediately told you I didn't like the way my hair turned out, brown all over with a few blonde highlights. Then, you charged me an absorbent price that was never discussed with me and not what you had quoted me the first time I was in. Oh and I just remembered that when I was leaving you said you put a toner in it l, I asked you why and you said my hair was orangish? So does that mean once the toner wears off I'll have orange hair or BLONDE like I asked you? You say it's a easy fix? Sure you quoted me half price of $300 additional dollars to fix what you screwed up the first time. Thanks for making me feel like I'm getting a value. Folks Beware! I deserve a "REFUND" and I would like one. read more

Amazing!!! Total life changer!! She blended my extensions in so well, that it is truly impossible to tell my real hair from the beautiful extensions. I'm able to wear my new hair straight, curly or any way I want. I loved the fact she was so easy to talk to and took extra time with me to show me tips and tricks of how to fix my hair and take care of it. I do believe this sweet lady has a Lot of experience doing hair and hair extensions. It really shows in the quality of her work, as she does amazing work! Also, there is no need to shop around for extensions, she has her own line that are all very very pretty so having to wait to order is absolutely not a thing with this sweet lady! A+++ #1...."DONNA" At Hair Drama! THESE ARE THE "BEST EXTENSIONS I HAVE EVER, EVER HAD! THIS IS WHY. DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR???For those of you that are hard on their hair, have had extensions slip, slip, slip. Spent thousands of dollars to only have them redone in two months, not good quality hair...YOU HAVE FOUND THE RIGHT PLACE!! Donnas extensions are full and look beautiful, NOT "stringy". Super comfortable and easy to care for. My twin sister has had these extensions for 3 years and I am now flying from Minneapolis to get mine done! I love them! Donna has been to China and perfected her extensions. They are her own line and she has been wearing them herself for 15+ years! She is excellent and passionate about her profession! She wears the extensions herself, is adorable and friendly. Her prices are extremely reasonable and you can continue to use the hair as long as you take good care of it for about a year. Set up a consultation I guarantee you will be happy. I have thin hair and it has made such a difference for me!! Thank you Donna! Amy Little read more

After much searching to find a new hairdresser after just moving here from Vegas, I finally found Donna! She is quite literally one of the only people I could find that does sew in (weft) extensions. I had a few small pieces sewn in my hair for added fullness, and they were in desperate need of tightening. I called around to many places with no luck, and was starting to get scared when I found Donna at Hair Drama, and she said that's what she specializes in. Thank goodness! Of course it's always nerve-racking to go to a new hairdresser after you've been going to the same one for so long, but as soon as she started removing my hair extensions and sewing them back in with new beads, I could tell she knew exactly what she was doing. And she did such a good job! It's actually better than my hairdresser in Las Vegas! I love the new beads she put in. They're much smaller than the last ones I had in, and lay right next to my head, so they are never visible. I had a small trim and my roots touched up as well and all of that looked great. I was going to a holiday party for my husband's work that evening, and she styled it so cute for me. I have no idea how to style my own hair, so I was very thankful that I looked nice for the event. It's a 40 minute drive from my house to go see her, and she is completely worth it! She has her own line of hair that I'm really looking forward to trying in the future. She definitely has badass weave skills! Thank you, Donna! read more

I have very fine hair and as it grows, it splits, so I can never really grow my hair out. I never thought I'd have extensions until I talked to Donna. I was so worried about losing the little hair I did have. She answered every question I had and I've now had extensions for five years. Donna is an expert and is super meticulous when it comes to anything 'hair'. She is VERY experienced and knows exactly how to install and then blend the extensions with your own hair so that noone will every know. Even my friends ask me if I still have extensions (-: Most of all, she truly cares and that really sets Donna apart! I drive about 50 mins to get to her, but it's truly worth it! Do yourself a favor-- consult with Donna. She'll answer all of your questions and is always happy to accomodate the busiest schedules. read more

I have always been nervous to get extensions since my hair is so thin and fine. The research I've done made me believe it was impossible to get extensions for my type of hair. I saw reviews on yelp from others saying they love their extensions from Donna even though they have fine/thin hair. I reached out and set up a consultation to get her opinion if extensions for my hair made sense, and which type would be best. Donna was very kind and patient educating me on extensions, answering every question I had, and told me it was possible to get them with my hair. I went in shortly after and she put the extensions in that we discussed and they look incredible!!! I finally have the long hair I've always wanted, and Donna even continued to answer my questions right after I left the salon. If you're nervous to get extensions because of your thin/fine hair, but have always wanted long hair... I 100% recommend you go to Donna! She is amazing! read more
