You wouldn't think that your hair would represent so many aspects of yourself, but it does. And Lisa has been a great partner for me - she's funny, kind, and honest. The receptionist apparently messed up and didn't put in any of the information I told her. The stylist got the manager (and never came back to apologize). The manager said they didn't have time for anything- no cut, no color. She was so unprofessional. Didn't offer anything to accommodate me. Just let me sit there and cry. Fucking awful. Although I go for simple trims, they make me feel a part of the process and will let me know what they plan on doing, how much hair they will he trimming, and asking my preferences on styling. More specifically, I had a wonderful and refreshing experiencing with Alex Gomez. He was warm, kind, and did an exceptional job with my hair cut (I got a trim for any dead/split ends and side bangs). In the end, we found a much better place who had a prom specific for hair and make-up. This place should get more reliable workers who don't make up lies why they are cancelling appointments. She is superb, an artist. Yes, the services are expensive and for me: totally money very well spent. I receive partial highlights about twice a year. Kelly has never attempted to "sell" me on additional services. In fact, she has encouraged me NOT to highlight that often and instructed on the proper method to maintain the highlights. Her expertise in cutting is beyond what I have received in the past: I have had my hair cut in Paris (David Mallett), New York City-(Ric Pipino, Heidi Klum's ex-husband) and in Greenwich Connecticut-just some places and all very high end. The David Witchell salon and Kelly are outstanding and just as good, if not better than I've experienced before. Every cut that I've had (Kelly) grows in so well. The true sign of a great cut is how well your hair looks in the 6th week (yes, I can go that long between cuts!). I am often asked by strangers, where I get my hair done-always a compliment. Regarding the reviews about the front desk-I have not experienced rudeness at all. I note that many of the reviews about front desk attitude, occurred around Covid times, so maybe folks were on edge about that? I give folks the benefit of the doubt and a lot of grace.
