I came to Jesse's not knowing what to expect. Iv been to a ton of places and have paid a ton of different price ranges going up to $100 a cut before tip and usually tend to be disappointed. That being said, Jesse and his shop did anything but disappoint. He walked me through his perspective and what he felt suited me best, and after letting him do his thing, I was presently surprised and impressed. He cut my hair with a straight razor and finished off the experience with a throwback handheld massage to finish off the cut (who does that?). This review is a long time coming and i couldn't say more amazing things about this place. Jesse has been my hairstylist for about 7 years now. My first impression of Jesse 7 years ago is that he was very blunt and brutally honest. That opinion still hasn't changed just now i'm adding extremely talented haha. He starts with a free evaluation of your facial features, going through the issues you've had with past hairstyles and where you want to be as well as giving his thoughts on what styles and tones would enhance all your best features. He wants you to have the best possibly cut/style for your face and not some celebrity cut that doesn't accentuate your best features and he will tell you honestly if he doesn't think its the style for you, which i greatly appreciate, but will also tell you what modifications can be made to fit your face. After my first cut (really just a trim because my longggg hair was my security blanket) i loved it and decided to continue going back. I would say by my third cut i trusted him completely and let him cut 10 inches off of my hair and i never looked back. I have gone through long, short, layered cuts, bobs, a lines, elongated bobs, and most currently he cut another 8 inches off into a blunt cut. My hair grows fast haha. I have brought family and friends none of which have left feeling anything less that gorgeous. I had just moved into the area and I was looking for someone I could trust with my hair as well as my kids. Pretty quickly I realized Jesse not only knew how to cut hair very well but was the kind of hair stylist (don't call him a barber to his face!) who is deeply connected to everyone who comes thru his doors. Fathers bring their sons to Jesse and those kids grow up and bring their sons to Jesse. My family and I have developed this kind of relationship with Jesse as well. Yes, Jesse has his opinions and he will not hesitate to share them. He may not be the most PC guy in the world, but he is wildly funny and if you are open to him, he might just charm your socks off.
