Furthermore I was charged $90. Then I was asked for a tip via text after I left. friends and neighbors are appalled and even asked to know where it was done so they can avoid the salon. I paid this new stylist hundreds of dollars in tips for over 2 years until mid-January of 2025. I also paid Robert of Philadelphia for color and cut for myself and my sister at over $800 per visit - totaling thousands of dollars from 2022 until January 2025!!! I had last been to Robert of Philadelphia during the Christmas 2024 season. On January 3, 2025, I underwent Cardiac Angioplasty with 3 stents at Rooney Heart Institute and have been recovering since the surgery. I made an appointment in mid-January to make "me feel better" by covering my gray hair and getting my shoulder-length blunt cut trimmed. The stylist was so excited about another client who was flying in for the day that she was not focused at all on me. She paid so little attention to me that she butchered my hair!!!! While my hair was wet, I screamed when I saw that she had cut off over 3 1/2 inches and chopped off the back of my hair to be shorter than the front!! She told me that once it was blown dry, it would be the same shoulder length, straight-across blunt cut I always had. She also, in a very dismissive tone, told me -- "you were going to get hair extensions anyways." With that she handed me over to another stylist and left the salon. The second stylist confirmed that my hair really was barely chin length and at different lengths front to back. The two salon receptionists also confirmed that this was not what I had requested and did not charge me for this fiasco. I have made several attempts to contact the owner, his daughter or his son, but they have refused to respond. I went to get extensions at a top Naples salon. I was told they couldn't help as the cowlick in the back of my head would always separate. So bottom line, I will have to look for a wig at my own expense. As I have at least 4 witnesses who can be deposed that my hair was botched, I've been advised to sue for the cost of a wig. This is how caring and client oriented this salon is - especially to a long-time client who only wanted to "look better" after 6 hours of cardiac surgery!! Shame on the salon. Shame on their stylist.
