Came back to update my experience, when we paid, I told them it was my bday, and they did the most.. I loved every part of it, they sang, gave me a bday mug and a chocolate mouse cake!! Literally the best, thank you all so much, esp, Jennie!! Jennie And Matthew were great servers.. they recommended the different menu options, and when I told them my soup was too spicy, they suggested other ways to eat it. We Had such a great experience at Haidilao!

Our server is Eileen. Friendly, attentive and such a sweetheart. Thanks Eileen. You made our experience even better It was a hot day for a Hot pot, thankfully, the restaurant is cool enough to enjoy every sip of the hot soup. Not too loud, several birthday celebrations. Unlike before when all the staff participate celebrating. Now, only 2 - 3 staff per table holding birthday sign. Mushroom soup is my favorite. It started bland but after a while, the flavor is so savory and delicious. The meat are fresh and good quality. Seafood and veggies are fresh too.

We came to Haidilao today to celebrate my birthday, and we had such a wonderful experience! The service was amazing from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. When they found out it was my birthday, they made the celebration so fun and special--I really loved the energy and the whole experience! The food was fresh and delicious, everything came out quickly, and the service was excellent throughout the entire meal. A big thank you to the Haidilao team for making my birthday dinner so memorable. We had such a great time and will definitely be back!

    Happy birthday cake!

Great food, unlimited side dishes/condiments/chips, excellent service with flying noodles, awesome atmosphere with great music and amazing decor. Came in for lunch for my dad's birthday. They didn't know about it until later when we requested after someone else was sang to. They were super accommodating and were great with the song and my dad even got a small gift! The noodle guy twirling with the noodles was the icing on the cake!

One of my favorite hot pot places! This place is a bit on the higher end when it comes to price but it is well worth every penny for the service and quality! This place originated from China and is considered royalty service there. And they did bring that quality of service here. You will be well tended to even at the peak and busiest of hours. The place is pretty lively so it is good for fun groups. Don't sleep on the noodle dance either. Also become a member so you can get good deals like the buy one get one Wagyu. You best bet I ordered the buy one get one Wagyu. Check out all my photos to see just a small selection I ordered from their menu!

Tried this hot pot chain finally for the first time and went for a birthday celebration with a friend. Reservations are definitely recommended. We waited about an hour for a weekday lunch. Service was spot on and they were so generous with birthday goodies. Both of us were celebrating so we got a whole fruit platter and a cake slice for each of us. We took advantage of their $25 lunches deal which included a soup, plate of meat, plate of veggie, rice or noodle, and a drink. Totally worth it! So much food. We tried the tomato soup and the pork bone. Both were delicious. I loved the sauce bar, it has everything you need plus free apps, snacks, and fruit. There's also another station for free dessert. Absolutely loved! Will say the a la carte menu though is pricey.

I've been to Hai Di Lao at Santa Anita several times now, and it continues to be one of my favorite dining experiences. The ingredients are always incredibly fresh, from the meats to the vegetables, and you can really taste the quality. Hot pot is definitely a meal you should set aside time for, but that's part of the fun! The restaurant has such a lively, energetic atmosphere that you honestly lose track of time while enjoying your meal. This was actually the first visit where something went a little wrong, they accidentally forgot to bring one of our items, and before we realized it, we were being rushed with the check. But as soon as we mentioned it, the staff immediately apologized, corrected the mistake, and went above and beyond to make it right. Everyone was so kind and genuinely apologetic that it completely turned the situation around. No restaurant is perfect 100% of the time, and what really matters is how they handle the rare mistake. Hai Di Lao proved once again why it deserves five stars. Amazing food, fresh ingredients, wonderful service, and a fun dining experience every single time. I'll absolutely keep coming back! Highly recommend this spot for everyone as well!

I really could eat this for the rest of my life and be okay. They still have great quality meat and vegetables. I don't like the seafood much cause it's kinda flavorless frozen seafood, and aside from the shrimp, every time I order some form of seafood I regret it. Kitty is a fantastic server, very attentive and helpful, and she was working her tail off yesterday. The service is generally good but the kitchen has been rough the last couple of times. We had missing items this last time, and we legitimately waited almost 50 minutes for the majority of our dishes the time before that. This was around 3:30pm on a weekday so maybe only one person was working or something.

Made it just in time for Haidilao's before 5pm special! We got the Classic Combo for 1, which is such a good deal at $19.99 & $24.99 depending on which combo you choose. You still get the full Haidilao experience without spending a ton, and the portions were actually really good for the price. We had plenty of food and, of course, the service was great like always. Definitely worth coming a little earlier for the special if you can! For under $25, I'd totally do this again.

Always a great hot pot experience at Haidilao Arcadia! The service is attentive and friendly, and the staff really go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. The ingredients are fresh, there's a great variety of meats, vegetables, and sides, and the soup bases are flavorful. I also love the sauce bar and dessert bar and all the little extras that make the meal more fun. It can get pretty busy, but overall it's a reliable spot for hot pot, especially when dining with a group. Would definitely come back!

Ask the Community - Haidilao Hotpot

Is it buffet and how much per adult?

No, only the snack and dessert station for All-You ou-Can-Eat at $3.99 per person. The price for each person varies depending on your order or menu items!

I've never had hot pot but want to try. Is this something I can have delivered or even picked up? Or is it a dine-in only experience? This is not my culture & people are often rude when you try to explore other cultures. I'd like to try AND be safe.

Does this location now offer gel manicures?

No and likely no US location will due to cleanliness reasons

Can u make reservations ? I've tried to call but calls never went through. Website shown that this location is on a 404 page too!

Do they do the secret codes here? What if we don't speak Chinese, can we ask in English?

    Yes you can speak English

Can i take my left over?

    Yes!!! Love that you can

Do you guys still do reservations on Yelp?

Hi Jonathan, we have switched from Yelp reservations to Google. You can visit our reservations page at haidilaoarcadiareserve.com to join the waitlist or make a reservation, or simply search Haidilao Arcadia on Google. Of course, also feel free to…

Is the restaurant open today Veterans Day? I was calling and no one is picking up the phone

Yes, we are open on all major holidays (Veterans Day, Christmas, New Years, Lunar New Years, etc.)

Is there private dining for large party reservation?

We do not have separate VIP rooms but we do have areas that we can section off for larger parties! Please give us a call and we will try to accomodate you guys!

What is the largest table in the restaurant?

The largest single table is a long high top with 12 pots that can seat 12 guests together. For larger parties we'd have to seat guests at two or more separate tables right next to each other.

Do they still have the split pot option?

    I believe so.

Can i recerve a table in advance?

    Yes 👍

    Do you have chicken?

    Yes.

    Tomato

Sorry. We don’t have outdoor dining.

Where is the closest parking to the restaurant?

There's an elevator from the ground level that goes up the the Promenade level and Hai Di Lap is just around the corner from the elevator. Park where you see the outside stairway to the Promenade oh the West side of the Mall.

Is there any soap bases without soy and dairy?

Our mushroom soup base does not contain any soy or dairy. Other soup bases have soy or dairy ingredients.Thank you!

As of July 2021 do you have the 4 flavor soup option?

Hi James, we have Pork Bone, Mushroom, Tomatoes, Spicy Pork, Classic Spicy, Thai Tom Yum soup, Pork stomach flavor, Pickled cabbage soup base. We are individual pot which you can choose your own flavor.…

The broths are gluten free but are sauces or other ingredients gluten free? Are those that are marked?

Some are some aren't. They are all marked and labeled in the self serve bar and there's lots of waiters around always , so you can ask too :) I recommend doing the vinegar base with some of their garlic/chili/green onion and a splash of chili oil :)…

Is Tracy still the server in front? If she is, then she's a great server! Just wanted to share how caring she is with all our needs. Shieh shieh Tracy! :)

It was my first time here and I opted for all kitchen cooked. We ordered grilled LA galbi and grilled beef bulgogi which were each served on a hot cast iron. They were both really really flavorful and super tender. We also tried the omelette rice and their version of bibimbap. The omelette rice was served with a fried rice inside and topped with a red sauce. It was good but huge for 2 people. The bibimbap was not what I am accustomed to. Instead of a hot stone pot in which the rice cooks and crisps, it was more like a vegetable salad with meat and a fried egg. The rice is served on the side. Although it's not what I prefer it was still tasty and super fresh. This is a great summer version. The price was reasonable for what we ate. Service was very friendly. I would definitely return.

Soonheene actually started in Seoul's famous Gwangjang Market where they were known for their pancakes, so I was excited to check it out. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Esther (the owner) and her daughter. They both went out of their way to explain the menu and answer all my questions with genuine smiles. That kind of hospitality really sets the tone for a meal. We ordered the Pork Mungbean Pancake, Rose Tteokbokki (creamy rice cakes with fish cake and sausage), Bibim-Naengmyeon (spicy cold buckwheat noodles), and a whole fried chicken split into two flavors. Everything we ordered was delicious and tasty. For half the chicken, I went with the original but added green onion and their special oriental sauce drizzle. The other half was spicy soy garlic. I'll admit, I liked the original better. I second-guessed myself when the owner's daughter mentioned soy garlic was their number one most popular flavor followed by honey butter, but I thought I would be different and try the spicy version. The spice kind of drowned out that garlicky soy flavor, so lesson learned. Next time I am going straight for the soy garlic and honey butter combo. For drinks, we tried the Korean coffee and cold yuzu drink, both refreshing and a nice complement to the food. By the end of the meal, everything was so good that I even found myself asking about catering their chicken for future events. The vibe inside is really comfortable with soft K-pop playing in the background. It is just enough for atmosphere but not too loud, so you can talk easily. The only tricky part is parking since it is in a busy plaza with a lot of other restaurants, but at least it is free. Overall, this was one of the most unique dining experiences we have had recently, made extra special by Esther and her daughter's hospitality. I love supporting family-owned spots like this, and I will definitely be back to try that famous soy garlic and honey butter chicken next time.

SinBala - Arcadia…read more SinBala is one of the rare Taiwanese restaurants that has stood the test of time. I grew up eating here. There used to be several locations across Southern California, and I'm glad the Arcadia location is still here. Every visit brings back memories. I come for the Taiwanese classics that are becoming harder to find. The popcorn chicken is still one of my favorites--crispy, fragrant, and seasoned the way Taiwanese street vendors do it. The Taiwanese meatball soup is comforting, and the Taiwanese sausage always reminds me of night markets back home. What I appreciate most is that SinBala doesn't just serve street food. It brings those familiar flavors into a warm, home-style setting. It's nostalgic without trying too hard. Before you leave, save room for dessert. Their shaved ice is a must. I always recommend the brown sugar shaved ice topped with five mochi or boba. It's refreshing, not overly sweet, and the perfect ending to a meal. Taiwanese food is often overshadowed by other regional Chinese cuisines, but places like SinBala remind me how unique it really is. Simple, comforting, and full of character. I'm grateful this little piece of Taiwan is still here.

It was very obvious that Chef Alex had conducted multiple corporate team building events as well as being a skilled/seasoned chef. We had 22 people for our team building event and there was plenty of space for us to each have our own cooking stations (teams of two) and there was ample seating for all of us to enjoy the fruits of our labors after the cooking was completed. We prepared thai food for our event and, WOW, was it amazing. I mean (literally), this was the best thai food that I'd ever had and this is coming from someone who's wife says "you eat way too much thai food!" The very tasty food is a testament to how well run this place is because we are just a bunch of accountants but we also apparently have an inner self that knows how to cook thai food. Overall, this place is clean, fun, there is ample parking and I would highly recommend. If this place wasn't so far from me, I'd definitely go back on a date night with my wife.

Izakaya Tonchinkan is a hidden gem. Reservations recommended, even during the work week, but…read moredefinitely on Friday and Saturday nights. The plaza is small but there was a decent amount of parking in the lot. The restaurant has a few tables and mostly bar seating. The bar is where the fun is at. Chef Tatsu and his team of staff were all welcoming and helpful. The other customers here are mostly regulars and all super friendly too. Their menu is on tablets or you can scan a QR code. They seem to use seasonal ingredients and change up their menu often. They had a really impressive variety of sakes. For the drinking munchies they have sushi, starters, cold dishes, hot dishes, grilled dishes, dee fried dishes, donabe rice, and desserts. There were so many items I wanted to try but I had to really narrow it down. I started off with a Hot Tea ($3) but after seeing their incredible sake collection I asked chef for a recommendation. Since I was alone, he recommended the Chiyomusubi ($20/large cup). I'm so glad I got to experience it because the waitress came out with an amazing of sake cups for me to choose from. Love it! These were the items I got to try: Oysters ($24/half dozen) - These were Sugaki Pacific Oyster with ponzu sauce, medium size. The ponzu brings out the sweetness of the oysters. Moriawase ($55) - An assortment of sashimi of the season. Chef let me pick the sashimi I wanted and I asked for the uni, file fish, kanpachi, shima aji, hotate, and kurodai. All fresh and delicious. I especially loved the uni!! There was a generous amount of it! Assortment of Small Appetizers of Chef's Choice ($15) - An assortment that changes depending on your visit. Good item for me eating alone since it gave me a variety in on dish. There was a snail, tuna, chicken salad, and grilled collar. Eihire ($10) - Best decision I made all night. This is a unique grilled stingy ray fin served with an aioli on the side. The sting ray reminds me of a grilled squid but much much better. It was so addicting and delicious. Highly recommended. Giant Clam Sauteed with Butter Soy ($12) - Very good clam, came sauteed with asparagus. The asparagus was a nice green contrast to the butter soy. Grilled Angus Beef Tongue ($22) - Highly recommended by Chef and I must thank him for pointing it out. I love beef tongue, but I missed it while I was browsing the menu. The beef tongue was tender and perfectly cooked. Such an amazing meal. I was really full but that didn't stop me from getting desserts. I couldn't resist their housemade Roasted Green Tea Panna Cotta ($8). I love panna cotta and this was a great execution. Good texture, good flavors, I can really taste the roasted green tea. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of their menu. A great place to dine with friends and share food or dine by yourself and chat up the locals. Thank you Chef and team for a fantastic meal!

We ordered the Assorted Sashimi, Beef Tongue, Salmon and Ikura Rice, and Hojicha Panna Cotta. Our total came out to around $158 for three people. The sashimi was fresh, with the Japanese Mackerel and Scallop being my favorites. The Beef Tongue was good, and the Salmon and Ikura Rice was solid and tasted pretty much as expected. The Hojicha Panna Cotta, though, was amazing and easily the most memorable item of the meal. It was also a lot of food for three people, and we probably could have ordered one less dish. The service and atmosphere were the biggest highlights for me. The staff was immediately welcoming and helpful in explaining the menu and popular items. The owner/chef was also very lighthearted and friendly, and the whole restaurant had a communal, neighborhood feel. Even around closing, everyone seemed relaxed and was enjoying their time together. Overall, the food was good, but I did find it expensive for what we ordered. I'd still come back for the atmosphere, service, and Hojicha Panna Cotta, but I'd be more mindful of how much I order next time.
