Just purchased a new home and this is my first pool. Hai came over and gave me a class for 2 hrs on pool servicing and took care of some basics for me. I've texted him a few times for questions and he is always available to answer them. Hai is really interested in saving you money. The previous owner of our home really screwed up the filter and salt cell. Hai attempted to fix it before suggesting to purchase a new one. He was not pushy and just provided the facts. Call him up its worth it. read more

I hired this pool service a couple years ago, and then I hired them back recently and had to fire them because they did such a terrible job. I don't know what happened to them. read more

They do good work, but they charge too much. He had a "gotcha" smile on his face when he looked at the $1,000 check I handed him for replacing a 1 1/2 hp motor. I later learned that was $200 - $400 more than the market rate. My mistake. Let the buyer beware. read more

Was a great service till unfortunately the service declined recently I brought that up to Hai and his explanation was for me to try to understand that his employees are 75 years old and may not want to do the job anymore.. which all I had requested was for his employee to tighten up a nut on a screw that holds together the pump he told me that his employee refused to do it.. I replied with let's just not have him do the service a few days went by and there was still no service to the pool I texted Hai asking if he could come service the pool because it was already turning green I never heard back from him. read more

I had hope that Hai would be my pool guy for a long time. But after a month of him servicing my pool I wasn't to happy with the results. I took some pictures of the pool the day after his last service call. My pool is in HB, CA == edit 08/30/2014 Hai called me about a week ago and was explaining some of the problems he had with my pool over the month he was servicing it. I added a star for his follow up. There seems to have been a communication gap that end up with my pool getting to the condition I found it in. == read more

Worth every penny. I was having issues with my last pool guy and decided I needed to make a change. I found Hai on Yelp and have been very happy with his service. He knows pools, and he is fair on pricing. I am paying $10.00 more a month but its worth it. I would recommend him to anyone that has issues with their current pool guy. A good find, for sure. read more

Hai was a God-send in dealing with a pool, which was dark green with algae, and the clogged up filter-pump system on a holiday, Memorial Day. Hai and his helper made time for us, knowing we knew nothing about pool maintenance and that we were doing a favor for homeowners who are out of the country. Hai was open, honest and informative. We FaceTime'd him with the homeowner who liked Hai so much that he hired him on the spot for the cleanup job plus regular maintenance service. read more

Texted him and scheduled an appointment for last Saturday. He did not show up on time Saturday so I texted him asking if he was running late or needed to reschedule. He texted back 3 hours later saying he was headed my direction. Did not offer an apology. Then I texted him back asking to reschedule for Monday. He never responded as of 1:40PM Monday. So 1/10 for poor communication and blowing off a scheduled appointment. read more

I had a previous pool guy who serviced my pool on a weekly basis,, but got rid of him after finding out that he was skimping on the chemicals, leaving me with an algae-filled pool. Found a great coupon for Hai Guy Pool Service and figured I'd give it a shot. He was prompt and told me everything that I needed for my pool. He walked me through the whole process and told me all about the chemicals and the proper balance needed. I've been using him for the past month and so far so good, the pool is algae free. He also mentioned that I may need to replace my pump soon, but recommended going with a refurbished one versus a new one. Haven't gone through with it yet, but definitely appreciate it when they're looking to help you out and not make a huge profit off of you. read more

I just bought a house that came with a pool and spa. The previous owners seemed to have stopped taking care of the pool months prior to me moving in. Not knowing anything about pool maintenance and chemical balances I decided to find a pool guy. Hai was the first one to respond to my inquiry and the first one to show up to give me a quote. Hai definitely knows what he's talking about. His pricing is fair and he was very upfront with me what my pool needed to become swimable again. He even took pictures of what was going on the with the filter etc while I was at work and sent them to me so I could make decisions right then. I highly recommend Hai! read more

Had a pool guy to clean my parents house for years, down the line, the quality of work started to decline so we had to let him go. I was referred to Hai guy pool services from a friend, and boy are we glad he's our new pool guy. Great quality work, and very informative. He gives you the breakdown of everything he's doing and future maintenance. I would recommend Hai as your guy if you need any pool work. read more

About a year ago I decided I could start taking care of my own pool. I have turned to Hai for problems that I haven't been able to handle myself or for bigger jobs like fixing leaks and cleaning the cartridge filter. Hai is quick to respond, patient in explaining things, generous with his time and reasonable in his rates. On three or four occasions when I've called with a problem, he has talked me through trouble-shooting and helped me to solve the issue without a visit (or charge). On those occasions when he has come to our house, he has (where possible) taken me through how to deal with the problem on my own in the future. read more

This guy is excellent in his service, very professional, gets the job done, and kept my pool clean throughout the year. I used to have another guy did my service but he did a bad job, the pool was dirty and the chemicals were all messed up. But once I found Hai and his excellent pool service I have stuck with him for the last two years. If you need any service regarding your pool, Mr. Hai is your go to man...Trust me you are making the right choice. read more

My pool pump was losing prime overnight and not fully filling the basket upon restart. I called Hai Guy to see if they could come out but it was a Friday and they could not come out til Monday.....that was the bad news. The GREAT news was that Hai spent time with me (he even called me back on my cell phone so I could go out by my pool equipment) on the phone to walk me through the problem and as a result of his patience and direction I was able to find the problem and fix it myself. Not often to find a company that provides this type of support. I will definitely call Hai Guy first if I encounter a pool problem that requires a pro. read more

I learned a lot after 1 hour he worked for me. I would very strong recommend Hai to anyone who is looking for pool service. Absolutely from now on I will call Hi to serve my pool. read more

Excellent service. He showed up earlier than planned and provided a courtesy call beforehand. We hired him to clean our filter and he was professional, clean and spent time explaining to my husband and I what was contributing to making our pool water green. His partner came over to me while was speaking with my husband and suggested that we not leave the chlorinator in the water while my 3 young children were swimming in it. Had never been told that before, not even by the pool guy we had to let go last year for not cleaning the pool. I found Hai off Yelp and am so thankful for the honest reviews about him and his service on here. Hai will be our go to pool guy for anything and everything in the future. Thank you Hai! read more

I found Hai through a friend of mine. I usually do the pool maintenance myself but lately I have been too busy with work. Therefore, I had no time. So a friend of mine recommended Hai to help me with maintenance. I called Hai up and he responded quickly. We met up together the following day. I mentioned to him about my situation and he was professional on the spot. I was amazed of how much Hai knows about pool. He even tolde me I spent too much on me maintaining the pool myself. He offered me a price that I couldn't resist. Next he even offered to inspect my pump and filter every month for free. Hai is very professional and he sure understands pool very well. He is well recommended to anyone who needs help with their pool. read more

Hai and Hue the "Dynamic Duo" dropped by to drain my pool and clear all dirt/debris/algae over the weekend. Only complaint was that they were over an hr late to the appointment. He did text me at the scheduled time to let me know they were running late. These guys are hella busy, which means they are in high demand. The work they did was well worth the wait. Near the end I checked in and saw Hai going at it with a shop vac and small vac attachment at the base of my pool, picking up even the tiniest dirt particles. Job was larger than they thought but still did it at the agreed price. Couldn't help but give them a bigger tip with all the work they did. Over happy customer. Job well done and price with tip was lower then the other pool people I reached out to. read more
