It was almost a 2 hour drive for us but parking was easy and I promise you, it was worth the drive! From what I understand, this is strictly a venue ... no DJ, catering, bar, etc. services are provided. Not sure if they offer referrals or have a list of providers they can/will share with perspective clients. Have not done that research on my own to confirm but that would just elevate the level of respect I already have for this venue if that were to be confirmed. My amateur pics do not do this venue justice. Please visit their website (https://fetewell.com/citizens-ballroom/) to see for yourself. The bride at today's wedding CLEARLY put the work in to pull this off. EVERYTHING was classy and elegant. I would copy every single detail (except the DJ) for my own daughter's wedding. Her decorations (down to the place settings, black chairs, menus, etc.); dessert table, bar, etc. were PERFECT. I know I'm merging reviews here but even her caterer (again, not affiliated with the venue) did a PHENOMENAL job. The pass-arounds / hors d'oeuvres and entire family-style entrees were DELICIOUS. I could rave all day about this wedding but I know I just need to stick with the venue. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE update me and/or share YOUR opinion, if you're able to. We enjoyed our time here overall. I would say, compared to the previous Yogi Bear Campground in…read moreBedford County, PA, just north of Pittsburgh, this one fell a little short. The positives of this place is the staff was overall very friendly, the water park was awesome and it was very quick to get here from DC. The downsides was that it is fairly pricey, the store is incredibly limited, and overall it feels a lot more dated than the Bedford location. Also, food is incredibly limited. We ended up ordering on Uber Eats since this Yogi Bear didn't offer dinner service and their pizza ovens stopped working. It was late in the season though.

My room had a wide range of issues which did hinder my trip and made the high price for my cabin non justifiable. The main office was closed and called back the next day which was not ideal. The events were not always timely for instance the advertised pool party didn't start getting setup until 15 minutes after advertised and it was indeed not a party. Lastly the canteen was inexcusably inefficient for grabbing a meal by the pool. You had to wait in line for 45+ minutes and then were quoted an additional 1+ hour until you would get your food. In all this park has so much potential to be better. But if cabins are not up to par, guests should be contacted in advance or given a remedy.

Instructions were clear, supplies were all we needed and the instructor took time to help my husband when he fell behind (I mean, took his time). The space was set well for the crowd, and there was enough room that we weren't bumping elbows. Bring your own drink-- stop by a local brewery on the way or visit the Dunkin' next door if that's more your speed. As a comparison, this is much more of an art class than a Paint Nite experience, in my opinion. That was totally fine for us, as we planned more for the evening. The general selection of ceramics was a bit smaller than other local places, but they offer a variety of stuff to choose from. In addition to the adult paint nights, they also offer kids classes (two hours, drop off). We'll be back.

It's off of either 70 or Route 40, but it's an easy drive coming from most directions, as long as you don't hit any traffic. It was a great experience from beginning to the end, even with temps in the high 90s! The course is beautifully maintained, with some challenging fairways and the greens were fast today. The staff was friendly and check-in was quick. The clubhouse is pretty huge and has the gigantic windows that overlook the course. The cart lady was very nice and checked in on us a few times throughout our outing I can't say anything about the pace of place because we were out there on a weekday, during a heat wave, so there weren't a lot of other golfers. From what I've been told, the weekdays aren't usually that busy and definitely cheaper than other courses in the area, which is crazy. The only reason for giving it 4 stars is because maintenance was out the day we were and they were on quite a few fairways the same time we were so they seemed annoyed that we were in their way and sometimes we had to wait for them to clear out. This may have been a one off so when I go back, I'll update my review.

We did the Mob Boss room, and it did NOT disappoint. It was just the two of us because the rooms are private, and I actually loved that. We were able to work together, figure out our individual strengths, and tackle the clues as a team. And guess what? WE ESCAPED! We had a few clues along the way, but we ended up solving the room with just under TWO MINUTES left on the clock! Talk about cutting it close! We were so proud of ourselves when we got out. Molly was the staff member who helped us get checked in, sign the waivers, and get everything set up. She was friendly and helpful and made the whole process easy. And they don't just send you on your way after you escape. They have props available for pictures, and Molly took some photos of us afterward. It was such a cute way to remember the experience. My sister had so much fun that she immediately wanted to do ANOTHER escape room. Unfortunately, they didn't have another opening that day, but they did give us information about rebooking and a discount for coming back. I also really appreciated that they offer discounts for first responders. My sister is an officer, so that's an especially nice perk. There are several escape-room options in the Frederick area, but I'm really glad this is the one we chose. It was fun, challenging without being frustrating, and a great experience for both a first-timer and someone who's done escape rooms before. Definitely recommend if you're looking for something different and fun to do--especially on a rainy day!
