I would go so far as to claim that GG's is exceeding everything in comparison. First, the savory baked goods. The croissant and sourdough remain the best in the area IMHO. The texture, density, sponge, and flavors are ideal. The eclairs also remain among the very best in 4 states. They are everything I seek in this item, including the right balance of sweetness against the bitterness of the dark chocolate. The owner/chef is fabulous! She oozes friendliness every time I visit, and isn't afraid to make small changes that benefit her patrons and provide her a healthy work balance. The hours are MUCH more conducive to pastry shopping, compared to their predecessors. I wish them a long and successful life in our market. They are a credit to our small community!

I understand that at the holidays it's probably hard to bake enough cookies to send at the same time but it's pretty unacceptable. The cookies were hard and dry enough to almost break a tooth. No moisture in the brownies. Sad. A few years ago I received a box of the brownies as part of an office gift and they were delicious. They did come before Christmas in the mail so service was good.

Sweet Maddies offers cakes and cupcakes locally in Frederick, MD, and I can't wait to try them! But for now, what I'm hooked on is their bake at home cookies that they ship nationwide! They have these cookies down to a science!!! They come frozen with ice packs, baking instructions, and even parchment paper. But get ready, because when they come out of the oven, it will be like a little cookie angel came down from cookie heaven to deliver this ooey-gooey goodness straight to the depths of your tastebuds. The toffee salted caramel cookie is soul satisfying. An absolute MUST!!! Their new s'mores cookie is everything you want it to be and more. The sweetest couple greeted us as soon as we walked in with some of the tastiest cookie samples i have had. I ordered the snicker doodle and the blueberry muffin. Unfortunately i inhaled the blueberry i have no pictures but it was delicious. It was a cookie but tasted like a muffin if that makes sense. They definitely know what they're doing with their baked goods and even mentioned they do orders. I can get an order of the cookie of my choice get it sent to my house and bake them when i'm craving them?! Amazing! The sweetest family with their sons helping as well!

I saw people coming out of here! I didn't hesitate, I skipped right on across the street to see what I could see. The cutest Korean bakery! The same bakery you know and love from H Mart now has a stand alone location in the heart of downtown Frederick. I took a spin around, snapped some photos and then grab a tray to load up with goodies. I love that its self-serve. You can always get the one you want without the awkward and mostly ineffective pointing and direction giving from behind the glass lol. I picked up a nice mix or sweet and savories. I think my favorite was the spicy jalapeño ham & bacon roll. It was soft, spicy, salty, and just the right amount of sweet from the dough. You can order finer pastries, coffee, and boba tea from the counter and eat in or take it to go. I'll be coming here every time I'm in town for sure!

It turns out it was a Korean bakery & cafe which was unexpected for the area. We got the salt bread & egg tart which were both great! They also included an extra small pastry as a bonus which was nice. As for the teas, they were on the sweeter side so I wasn't the biggest fan. I wish we could adjust the sweetness and the boba was ok, it hardened up pretty quickly. I'd return for thr pastries but not the boba.
