The stores are pretty much mirror images, and sometimes only one location is open. I love browsing the "kitchen" items at Artesano's! Things like plastic fruits to hang on your walls and the death themed Mexican figurines. Particularly chilling is the pregnant skeleton person. There are a lot of unique items, however, they aren't hand-made. I've seen similar items in similarly themed stores all over New Hampshire and Massachusetts. They may be "unique" but they are definitely mass produced. The jewelry is always cute. I have bought a few pairs of earrings. My favorite are the crocheted flower earrings that they offer in abundance. Some of the bracelets are cheaply made though and will break if you wear them too often or hit your wrist against a hard enough surface. The prices are normal for Rockport, but still kind of high. I don't want to spend almost $20 for hand-painted plastic peppers to hang on my wall. The jewelry is priced reasonably, as are the popular clothes from Nepal. Be aware that sizes in Nepal are vastly smaller than they are here. My poor boyfriend is an average sized guy and had to buy a triple x large jacket, and that's a snug fit! Artesano's is a nice break from the usual tourist traps with their nautical themed items at inflated prices so be sure to go in and browse if you're in Rockport. Inside though, the merchandise is really nice and unique. Obviously, all sorts of pottery pieces, and other decorative pieces by local artists. Knick knacks abound, and there's also some CDs and jewelry. Prices are aimed at tourists who want to buy a special piece of pottery crafted in Rockport. Local people won't buy their pottery at a place like Alexander's. Most shops in Rockport are like this: jacked up prices so a tourist can buy a "special" piece that people who live here know better than to buy. That being said, it is a pretty cool shop for browsing. I can't say I've ever purchased anything there. They have plenty of customers though, and the clerk is always friendly, if not a bit stand-offish. Be sure to pop in and look around.

I stepped into this special space and told the older gentleman what I was looking for. He was so kind and opened every case for me to try rings on while I had my son in his infant carrier. He made me laugh and out me at ease. I kept apologizing for trying on every ring because I wanted to find "the one." It didn't end up being at this store but I would go back and certainly send folks his way! What a kind soul with a beautiful collection of jewels. Get your booty there ASAP!

Employees are stealing by making deals that aren't part of Reebok's sales. My husband bought three…read morepairs of sneakers last week--two for our daughters and one for me. Unfortunately, mine did not fit. I went in to exchange them today, and the young kid at the front said I would have to pay the price difference since the sneakers I wanted were more expensive. Fair enough. The original price of the sneakers my husband bought was $130, but the kids at the front gave him a "deal" for buying two other pairs, so he ended up paying only $35. I know, crazy. The deal was buy two pairs and get the third one for $35 (employee deal, lol). The new pair I wanted to exchange was $140 but had a 25% discount, making them $70. He said I had to pay $70 to exchange them, meaning his weird employee deal was off. On top of that, when I looked confused, he said, "Oh, you can give me $40," as if he could just determine the price. I tried to explain that even if the $140 pair didn't have the 25% off, I would still be paying a small amount over. Nope, he kept arguing with me and didn't give me any options. He even mentioned that the deal my husband got was a "personal deal." Mmm. Anywho, it's just sad to see the brand represented by this kind of employee
