We absolutely love Hachi! It's our favorite place to get sushi. Reminder to all: it's BYOB!

If I had to summarize their sushi in one sentence, I'd say their sushi is more like a salad with some meat than real sushi. Phone person was rude. Fairly commonplace, but ok. The sushi is beyond forgettable if not for the pricing. The sushi has the thinnest slices of the more expensive ingredients and otherwise is packed with cheap ingredients like vegetables. In fact, the rolls are so overpacked with "filler" ingredients they tend to fall apart when you attempt to pick them up. To make it even more obvious there is this painfully obvious attempt to deceive the customer, they stuff the sushi containers to the brim with useless kale leaves. They're clearly cutting corners and trying to save a buck while charging a premium for a product they're skimping on. They don't deserve your business. read more

We enter this beautiful sushi restaurant, and right off the bat we knew we were going to love the ambiance. The waiters and waitresses were all very kind and polite and answered all of our questions even though we just kept asking what type of fish we were eating. The fish were incredibly fresh and very delicious my fiancé loves the albacore tuna here the most out of everywhere else in this county. I personally loved my sushi so much. My rolls had an incredible amount of filling to rice ratio. You can look at my pictures and see how much thin the rice is!! That means you're getting the most worth out of your dollar. Called to make a reservation for a Monday night @5:30 pm and they started to say we can only sit until 7 pm which is fine. I get it that they need to limit seating time. But as soon as we got there, first thing they said was "you have to be done by 7 pm." We haven't even sat down yet and they were already rushing us! Our orders took an hour to come out so don't rush your customers when you can't even get the food out timely. The sushi was ok but not good enough for this rushed service. Plenty of other sushi places around. Will NOT be returning. read more

Worth the drive to Chalfont!! (40 min for us.) Some of the freshest, most delicious sushi my husband and I have ever eaten and we lived in the Pacific NW for 30 years. Attentive and efficient service. Noise level can be high so opt for lunch if that is a concern for you (loved the sushi/sashimi set!), not usually as packed. Def get a rez for dinner. read more

My new favorite sushi place in the burbs! Even my little sister who claims she doesn't like sushi wouldn't let us pick at her share of the rolls. We came here on a Friday night and sat at the bar. We ordered 3 rolls and chicken hibachi. After we placed our order we immediately were given a free appetizer! Being a sucker for free things, I would've loved anything they put in front of me...but this was actually really delicious. It was a fried white fish over finely sliced cucumbers with some sort of creamy drizzle sauce. So automatically we were off to a great start Our order came out quickly - We got 2 $6 rolls and one more expensive fancy one, but they all were so good. The chicken hibachi was amazing as well and was served with lots of vegetables and white rice on the side. Once we finished our meal the waitress brought out free orange slices and pineapple chunks. Stunned by your Hostesses lack of courtesy. My son and I arrived at Hachi at 6:45 pm on a Thursday and were pleased to see that there were 4 bar seats since we did not have a reservation. But only to find out from the two hostesses that they were reserved which seems odd. We looked around and there were 7 other open tables and many for 2 people! But we were told they were all reserved for the same time of 7 pm and that we could come back later. We left and felt embarrassed at that point to the others seated there. Hachi's hostesses basically turned us away with several open tables and told us the others at the bar had just been seated and not to wait there. There is something wrong when you turn business away!! I love their food but honestly will probably never return there. The hostess staff need a lesson in how to be gracious and how accommodate to their patrons especially a party of only 2 in the future especially when the restaurant had open seating available. read more

This is our new date spot! Felt super underdressed walking in initially, plenty of people catching dinner there after work. We didn't have a reservation but were seated in under 10min (around 7pm, Friday). The service was great and fast. Decorations were gorgeous. Food came out really fast for how packed the restaurant was. Have been to three other Japanese restaurants recently and this was the absolute best. Total bill around 32$ for about 4 different rolls. The fish literally melted in your mouth. Should cost WAY more for the quality and presentation. read more

Found this place on Yelp as I just travel here for business for a few days. Nice decoration in the restaurant to begin with. Decent food with great portion. Friendly staff and definitely help to modify the fish to your liking. Good selection of rolls and we will probably try Sashimi next time. :p I would say ~$35 will get you very full. Pretty good experience here. Went here to lunch on Friday with co workers around 2 pm. There was another table there when we arrived but then they left so place was quite empty. The food was good and they had a lot of great lunch specials. We really enjoyed the variety of food given that they provide you with Japanese and hibachi options. Something to know is that they are BYOB. So be sure to bring your alcohol with you! They have a variety of tea flavors available for those that want to ensure a warm beverage. Finally found a good sushi spot in the suburbs! This place is a hidden neighborhood gem. The decor is very clean and modern. The staff is super friendly from the hostess to the sushi chefs. We came in without a reservation on a weekend and the only availability was at the sushi bar- def not a problem. The sushi chef kindly prepared a complimentary amuse bouche to start. Delish! Their menu has a variety of choices for both raw sushi lovers to the cooked seafood entrees. We ordered a couple of rolls: No. 7 Volcano, snow mountain and tempura udon for dinner. Thanks Yelp'ers for pointing to us to a fabulous Gem! I've been to so many great places in strip malls and this is certainly one of them. We stopped in at 8:30 and first time for both of us. My partner in crime is local but she hadn't tried it yet. We both love the BYOB and being next to a PLCB store doesn't hurt. So cut to the chase... 48 hour Pork Belly, Alligator Roll, Hawaiian Poke and Uni. Where do we start? The pork belly is absolutely tender and unctuous. Add the slightly smokey finish and I would put this stuff on my breakfast cereal any day that ends in "Y". The Poke was unique with the use of sliced almonds and yellow/green squash. Amazing texture and tender Ahi will make you want to face plant into the bowl and pretend you're in a pie eating contest. The uni was great. My favorite thing in the world and theirs was fresh, sweet and had a nice savory finish. As Arnold says, I'll be back! read more

We love Hachi for the sushi and typically do takeout. Tonight, upon returning home from the pickup- realized that one of the rolls was incorrect. It wouldn't have been a big deal, but I'm pregnant so it needed to be a cooked one, and this was tuna. My husband called and they were more than accommodating to make things right. I was visiting and saw this sushi restaurant in this small town and was interested because the reviews were amazing. I went in and they were very very busy, but I did get a seat at the bar, which is where I wanted to sit anyway. It took a very long time to get the food, but I did get a soup and a salad that came out and then an amuse bouche from the chef that was amazing. I ordered the 48 hour pork belly. It was sitting on a bed of rice porridge and sweet corn with some bok choy and other things. The first taste was delicious, it fell completely apart, but then I got a bite where it was frozen through. I don't know how that happened. The rice porridge was not seasoned at all. It could've been so delicious. The texture was really nice and the sweet corn added to the flavor but not enough to make up for no seasoning. I then ordered the sushi and sashimi and the angry dragon roll, I believe. The sushi is so fresh here, it just looks beautiful and it tastes divine. But, the roll was my favorite. I literally wanted to order three more. The crunch and the flavors that all came together, I ate that in one minute flat. It was so good, I cannot recommend it enough. The restaurant is very nice, decorated very nicely, they are very attentive and very kind and very accommodating. I would highly recommend everyone go here. The only reason I didn't get a five-star was because of that unseasoned dish thst was slightly frozen. Everything else was a delight. I definitely see why they're so busy!
