Habluetzel's Garage is a mechanic shop not a part changing want to be. After my 1996 Bronco broke down on the side of the road, I was fortunate enough to have called Habluetzel's Garage. The owner was friendly and extremely knowledgeable, he took photos and videos showing me the problems and then showed me the parts he replaced. Prior to preforming he called and gave me an estimate of the cost of the repair and it was with in a few cents of the final bill. Side note: the warning light had been on for years and was brought to several "part changers that told me being an older model high mileage vehicle get used to it" Habluetzel's Garage was able to fix that issue as well. read more

Master Mechanic & Guardian angel - Now a friend for life. While visiting Port Aransas, our car started acting up. The alternator went out and drained the battery. Unfortunately, this happened while driving on the ferry. Called AAA for a tow. My step-son was notified and he found Mr. Habluetzel's garage about to close but agreed to stay open to have a look at our car. He asked for the VIN number of the car to get a handle on the parts that my be needed. We got thru the line and ferry trip again on a wrecker to get to Mr. Habluetzel's garage just as he was about to close up. He took a look at the car and then we went inside his shop. We had a discussion and he explained the parts that may be needed to fix the car and the cost. This was at 3 o'clock and he was to close at 1 o'clock. He was going to have to drive to the next town to get the parts so he volunteered to drive us to a restaurant or a motel. We had decided that he may have to work on it some Saturday or maybe he would not be finished on Monday, so we asked for a lift to the motel. He drove off to get the parts and we checked in and ordered some food. Just as we were finishing out supper, about 1 hour later, I received a call from Mr. Habluetzel asking if I wanted to come down to the front of the hotel that he had my car ready. He was driving my car! We went back to his shop and he presented me with the bill. His quote was exactly on for fixing my car. He replaced an alternator and a battery. He even put a label on my wheel well under the hood with the invoice number for the 2 yr guarantees for the alternator and battery. He was fantastic with the quality of work, quality of follow thru and even comforting both of us on his ability to fix and get us on the road soon and safely. MY car has not run better. if you ever in the need and in the area don't waste your time and money, GO straight to Mr. Habluetzel's garage!! read more
