They found that a previous repair had failed, and they weren't sure it could be re-fixed. They took a fair amount of time removing the old patch and roughing up the surface enough for a new one. For all their trouble, they only charged me $25. This was two weeks and a lot of miles ago, and no sign of any leak in the tire. Thanks, Gordo's, you kept my vacation on track.

Nathaniel and Jimmy helped us out and said the fuel injectors looked okay and didn't need to be replaced at this time, just recommended getting a fuel injector cleanser and use premium gas for a couple of weeks. The entire team is nice and very reasonable with prices. I'm glad I went to them and will go to them in the future.

So glad I did. They welcomed me immediately and asked what they could do for me. Pilar took my tire off and inspected it and found the culprit, a screw! I was prepared to spend a couple hundred on a tire but they suggested a plug, when they could have sold me a tire. Goes to show they are honest people. Mario the owner was nice enough to offer me a cup of Cuban coffee that was amazing. Told him my experience down the street and he explained that some businesses think the customer needs them when in reality the business and the customer need each other, one to provide a service the other to feed their family. The closest dealer told me there was a 3 week wait to get them to look at my car, so I called the front desk of my motel, and they said Cooling's was highly respected. Well, Jimmy was super! He quickly helped me realize that the problem was probably just water in the gas, told me what I could add to the tank to relieve the issue (and where to get it because he doesn't sell it as a retail item). We took off in the rain, feeling quite a bit better, until the 'Check Engine,' light started calling me! I turned around, went right back to Cooling's, and again (without any chance of making a dime from me) Jimmy reassured me that seeing the 'Check Engine,' light was exactly the right response from my car, as it would tell my mechanic back in Austin exactly what the problem is. If Cooling's (and Jimmy) provide this type of outstanding service for folks who aren't spending a dime with them (Jimmy couldn't start taking my car apart until late that day, and I was to go home early the next morning) their service for paying customers must be legendary!
