I always been pretty fond of this chain. Especially since they originated where I went to school in Goleta. This particular location is right down the street from Dodger Stadium. They got a makeover complete with a mural that features a homage to the Dodgers! I came in on opening day of the 2026 season where first 100 people received their 'Blue Wave Shakes'. There were additional people from habit there for the festivities and everybody was very friendly and the service was great from ordering to keeping the place clean as people kept on coming through. When I got there, there was a bit of a line as expected, but the line moved pretty efficiently. When it was my turn to order, I got the double char, fries, and of course, the blue wave shake. I thought everything was delicious. I like their burgers because it's a little thicker and it has that grill char flavor to it. There were other giveaways and festivities going on, but I couldn't stay too long. I had a lot of fun and it got me excited to kick off the new baseball season. And above all else, it was a great meal. I remember getting burgers from the original location when I was on a road trip with a few high school friends checking out the school for the first time as well. So eating at this chain always gives me a little bit of nostalgia. Overall, great option to eat when you're in the area or before or after Dodger games. This review is solely based on my experience this past weekend, and my overall experience with this location. Unfortunately, I won't be back for a long time. This isn't about their burgers or staff members. But when my 3-year-old got really sick after leaving The Habit, causing her to vomit everything she ate. The only thing she had different from us was the chocolate milk. So please, if you ever take your kids here, STAY AWAY FROM THEIR MILK! Now she can't hear burgers and milk in the same sentence. I'm sad because I love The Charburger Meal, with white American cheese. It just gives the burger a better taste, and sweet potato fries. I personally don't like their regular fries. They tend to taste old and come out cold. They never seem to be made to order. Unlike the sweet potato fries, which are always hot and nicely salted. Cashiers are always nice, even though nowadays we just order through their kiosk machine. The restaurant is always clean, and the ambiance is always nice, especially during Dodger home games. I ordered here on a Sunday afternoon with a buy one get one DoorDash deal. My food was ready at the time. It was said it would be ready, and it was packed nicely and properly. Now to be honest, the food was not anything out of this world, but it was well cooked and well prepared and properly put together. First timer here. Immediately I was in love with the amount of parking available for a sunset business. Menu is diverse. Facility was clean with lots of seating inside and outside. Foods always been great here! This review is solely based on the service given by supposed "manager", Vivianna who took our order. The moment we walked in, the vibe was already off. No "hello" at all, not even a "Can I take your order?" She was just standing there with a resting bitch face waiting for us to tell her what we wanted. Tough location. Back in the early 90's I saw Echo Park to a tough place to grow up in. I remember taking all my friends home from HS into surround Echo Park and Silverlake. You'd never though a Habit Burger would open a location here in Echo Park! Passssssed by all many times as I lived nearby in Los Feliz! We were on the way to Staples Center tonight for the Kings game and stopped in for dinner. The parking lot was pretty easy to maneuver around in. The location was clean and the staff was awesome! Super attentive and nice. The cashier worked nonstop and even after taking our order proceeded to fill the ranch cups, sweep and add the teas and lemonade into the dispenser. The food came out quick and yummy as with any other Habit Burger locations, yummy fries, burgers and Caesar salad. Walked out stuffed and ready for the Kings game (even though we lost to Calgary tonight). Props out to the dude behind the counter too who talked to me about wanting to go to the Kings game one of these days! read more

On April 22, 2024, I was tired, hungry, and ready to call it a day, so I decided to just get a to-go order. I ordered a charburger, fries, and a drink for my daughter, and I ordered an Ahi Tuna sandwich and house salad for myself because I am pescatarian. For my order, I asked for no mayo and all sauces on the side. I completed the order, got the food, and headed out. By the time we got settled and ready to eat, it was after 10:30pm. So, I was disappointed that I was not able to call the location (they were closed) because there was mayo and bacon on my sandwich. I went on The Habit Burger website and reported the issue. I received an email saying that my information had been received and that I would get a response in the order it was received, but I still have yet to have my issue addressed. She got the garlic port char well done ($5.55) and I got my usual charburger ($3.99), added a Caesar salad ($4.85) and green beans ($3.39) all for less than $20. It was a really good and filling meal. The burgers were a good size, meat wasn't overcooked. The amount of dressing on the Caesar salad was the perfect amount and the green beans were cooked to perfection. The dip that comes with the green beans was a nice touch. We ate our meal at home since you can't sit inside the restaurant. There are several tables nicely spaced apart outside to choose from though. Plenty of free parking. Markings on the floor inside the Habit to remind customers to social distance. Markings also outside of the Habit for those who are patiently waiting for their to go meal. What do they put in their ranch bc they have the best ranch. Fries and everything was fresh. BF's cheeseburger looked so juicy with melty cheese and carmelized onions! He dug it! This location sucks, plain and simple. The Habit is usually pretty tasty but the customer service and attention to detail here is terrible. I've only come here twice and both times I had the same issue with undercooked tri-tip. After the first time (a few months ago), I reached out to management who sent me a few coupons and assured me that the issue would be addressed. I've just gone back for the first time since then and the same thing happened again. To make matters worse, some of the lettuce in my the salad was quite visibly dirty. FYI on parking - There is a parking lot, but it can get pretty hectic/full during peak times. There are also a couple reserved spots for curbside pickup in the front. All in all, I wouldn't return here. I'd be open to going to another Habit location but this one isn't worth the trouble. read more

I usually go to the habit in the valley on Sepulveda and Devonshire but I stoped by here for a bite to eat while visiting my brother and was welcomed with an undercooked chicken sandwich and food poisoning. First of all, this location is in Los Angeles where a big Hispanic population exist. On Saturday my mom showed up and asked a Latina employee to help with an order. The employee, ignored my senior mother. My mother didn't know how to say wheat bread and asked the employee to please assist. She continued to ignore my mother then called her estupida. How dare you call a senior woman stupid? You must hate your job and you shouldn't be working in customer service. I filed a complaint with headquarters. The Habit Burger Grill was all over the net and was in my list to try because of of their claim of fame chargrilled method and flavor. The restaurant is in a newish development, everything clean, new, organized. The staff super friendly nice and accommodating with my healthy requests and substitutions. Service excellent. Ordered the double chargrilled with cheese and the entire garden and condiments plus extra chili peppers, the tempura green beans and açaí blueberry healthy drink on ice...all very good, was happy and too full to eat all, as portions were generous. The burger was delicious but didn't have the amount of chargrilled flavor I expected. I have had better burgers from similar burger places. This burger tastes better than Cassell's which I had 4 days ago, but not better than the burgers from Astros on Santa Monica, Honor Bar, Wolfgang's or Bel Air lounge burger...just to name a few. I really like that the Habit is super clean and the staff is super nice, and like it more than shack Shack but not more than In n Out. With that said over and out. Everything was super well kept (condiments station and fountain drinks) - no spills or sticky countertops! We were able to upgrade our charburger freebie to double for $1. In addition, we added a side of sweet potato fries to share. Our burgers and fries were freshly prepared but didn't take too long to come out. The burger patties were juicy and flavorful. I kept taking small bites to see if I could taste something and I never could define any specific taste even the cheese had no taste, the onion rings were so burnt that all you couldn't taste much of anything except the burn taste. The Habit is a great addition to the Echo Park area! I've been craving burgers more often lately, and The Habit sounded great for a quick and reasonably priced dinner. I got a Charburger with Cheese and Onion Rings. The burger was a good size, though the meat patty was a little bit too salty for my taste. I'm not the biggest fan of the shredded lettuce they use. I wish they would use a large piece of lettuce like In-n-Out or Shake Shack. The bottom bun also got a little soggy even though I ate pretty fast. The Onion Rings were so good! This location is on the gorgeous renovated strip mall with Chipotle, Starbucks Reserve, Cinnaholic, Roots & Rye, and Hammer & Nails Grooming Shop for guys. My dad liked it! I'm a long time customer of this Habit Burger location. I go there for lunch during work every once in two weeks. Since couple weeks ago I noticed the togo box is filled with liquid. The sandwich was drenched with water. The bread was soggy and everything fell apart after taking one bite. The lettuce wasn't fresh at all. The entire burger was dripping liquid. Absolutely disgusting. It happened three times in a row recently. First it was Santa Barbara Char and then Chicken Caprese sandwich twice. On my fourth visit I told the staff about the experience. This girl with the weight who appeared to be the store manager shook her head and told me their togo burgers are sometimes like that. What a silly excuse. I've been a customer for years and their burgers were never submerged in liquid like this. Well, I was certain that the cook didn't like my complaint. He gave me that unpleasant and aggressive gaze on me. I was pretty sure he was mad because he tossed my food like it's no man's business when it was ready. Well, it happened forth times now. I highly suggest you to go somewhere else. Unless you want a burger that is submerged in some unknown liquid. This problem will probably last for a while judging by how the staff handles this issue.
