    Chicken platter
    Christine Q.

Called in an order for 2 chicken platters. Delicious!!!! I knocked down a star because the original number we called was not taking the orders, the man sent us a different number to call. They are usually on Broadway blvd, we go there and they were not there. Found out that the truck was on Freeport blvd instead. The hassle was worth it.

Combo Platter + Wings. Got the white sauce on the side.

Fire NYC Style halal food in Sacramento. Went with the combo platter + wings. Rice, meat and veggies were all fresh and white sauce brought it together. A huge step over chains like The Halal Guys. For the wings the owner recommended that I mix all three sauces (Teriyaki, Buffalo, BBQ) which I thought was crazy at first. Honestly, it was delicious and I'm glad I trusted him on that. I think he should add it as a flavor to the menu. This is a for sure on the list for any time i'm in Sac.

Delicious food!! My fiancé and I visited Sacramento last week, and we ate here twice in a row. It was so flavorful and really hit the spot. The red sauce wasn't too spicy. I had the falafel plate first which had rice, salad, and tons of falafel covered in white and red sauce. It was good, but my favorite part of the plate was the falafel with the salad. So the next time we went, I got the falafel salad. It was so refreshing and filling! My fiancé got the lamb salad, and the lamb was so soft and flavorful. Will definitely come back and eat here the next time we're in the area! I highly recommend anyone local to try it.

We enjoyed the meal. The service is friendly and the food is satisfying (we had the chicken and lamb over rice dish). It is a food truck that has moved slightly to now in the old Walgreens parking lot. There is no seating and the prices are slightly higher than other halal/Mediterranean grill places in the area. Overall worth a visit if in the area (we were nearby). They also do catering which seems nice.

Super good food! When I was working nearby my coworkers and I were regulars here and for a good reason! The last time I came I got the chicken platter and it was absolutely delicious. All of their food is really good, the meat is juicy and seasoned perfectly, the side dishes are fresh and balance the heavier meat, and the plates are so big and filling. Really nice workers who are friendly and funny! Definitely check this place out if you are in the area. It is a food truck so you can't sit and eat, but it's worth picking up food and taking it home or finding a nice park nearby to sit and eat at like Land Park. Will be back!

My third time coming to Habibi's Grill and man oh man, I'm not disappointed! The food truck is located in a small but spacious plaza. Not too busy at all and plenty of parking! I ordered the Habibi's Platter and their Buffalo Wings. The platter is super filling, comes with rice, lamb, chicken, salad, fries, and 3 slices of pita! Food is always hot and fresh and full of flavor. Just looking at the photo and you can see how generous the portion size is. The lamb and chicken were super moist and the tzatziki sauce is amazing! The wings were also amazing! I was honestly so impressed with the quality - crispy, crunch, but super juicy. You wouldn't expect great wings from a Halal food truck and yet, here it is! Overall I can't complain because everything was so delicious and has consistently impressed me every time. I'm not sure if the kind sir who works there is the owner, but he's incredibly nice. Makes sure to include everything and cooks everything fresh. I highly recommend everyone to check out this hidden gem. You won't be disappointed!

Tried the famous Habibi's Fries and I can see why it's a fan favorite! They load up crispy fries with chicken and lamb, then hit it with like five different sauces (I couldn't name them all but somehow they just work). On top of that -- cucumbers, feta, pepperoncini, and a sprinkle of parsley makes it feel slightly less sinful. It's definitely not a "light snack," but if you're in the mood for comfort food with a Middle Eastern twist, this hits the spot. The serving is pretty generous, definitely something to share (or not, if you're really hungry!)

Habibi's Grill just might be my new favorite Mediterranean food truck. It might even be my new favorite Mediterranean restaurant, period. I found Habibi's Grill through Yelp, and the photos drew me in. It looked like (and turned out to be) everything I was looking for. I ordered the Habibi's Platter, which came with rice, lamb and chicken shawarma, Greek salad, pita bread, seasoned fries, tzasiki, and hot sauce. This was the best meal I've eaten in ages. Even though it was huge, I ended up finishing the whole thing (over the course of a few hours). It was too good to put away and stop eating. I'm not normally a huge fan of lamb, but this lamb could have changed my mind. Clearly, I'm no lamb connoisseur, but it was the best lamb shawarma I've ever personally tried. The flavor was a little earthy, but still delicate, and a little sweet, but all in a good way. The chicken was phenomenal. The rice complemented all of the other flavors perfectly. No matter where I took a bite from this platter, I could not go wrong. Every combination was correct. The seasoned fries were perfect. The hot sauce was bomb. The tsaziki was delicious. Every element was fire. I was so incredibly impressed with Habibi's Grill that I tried to come back a few days later. I called, but he said that he had to take care of some personal emergencies, and would be there in a little while. A few days later, I tried again. This time, instead of calling, I just drove by during lunch rush hours-- but he was not there. So, I guess my only complaint about this food truck is that I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF IT. I can't wait to eat here again.

Solid 4 stars... While many people have reservations on getting food from food trucks at a gas station, these food trucks are usually the best foods around. I welcome all food trucks that reside at gas stations ;) So, when the hubby wanted something similar to Halal Guys (iykyk), good ol' Yelp took me to Habibi's Grill in Downtown. Placing my order was easy and within 15 minutes I went to pick up my order. I opted to try the chicken platter ($14). Fellow Yelp friends are not wrong when they say the portions are huge, 'cuz they are. My platter came with a few pita slices, a fresh side salad perfectly cooked rice, all paired with tender/juicy chicken all topped with Tzatziki sauce. Habibi Grill is highly rated for a very good reason. I would highly recommend it if you're craving fresh ingredients all with a decent price for the portion size.

Highly recommend this place! The food came out fast and had amazing flavors! The owner was really nice and I love how the truck has photos of their different meals!

Mediterranean food? Yes!! Really good mediterranean food?? Show me the way. I discovered Habibi's grill on the way home, and had trepidations. Why? The location is a small trailer located in a gas station. Yep, a gas station! The owner is a one person operation, and he knows what he's doing. The food is not only damn delicious, but he will be honest about what you should try, and he won't try to up sell you any items. I purchased the lamb gyro combo. It came with fries and a drink. I'm still annoyed that he forgot the drink, especially because I paid for it. The gyro was a tad heavier on the veggie side, and should have had more meat in it. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tasty. The chicken wings... just wow! They were perfectly sauced ( a tad too salty for us) and pretty meaty. I ended up putting some away for the next day, and they were still crispy! I ordered one of the platters, and the chicken was soooo good! The meat is the same in the gyro, just not as much. I didn't care for the rice, and enjoyed the fries instead. Don't let the gas station location for you. This is really good food, reasonably priced, and of course, everything is to go. You can order ahead, or order at the window, and enjoy it elsewhere. Diners tip: all meat items are halal.

I went here Thanksgiving night because not much was open of course. They were stationed ad a gas station by Tower. Since it was toward the closing time at 6 they didn't have everything, but they had what I planned on ordering anyway which was the lamb and chicken gyro grill platter with fries, rice, and salad. Less than $16 for a large plate of food and it came out in about ten minutes. The lamb was moist and chewy and the chicken was not bad. It wasn't among the best Greek food I've ever had otherwise I'd give five stars. Not much else to say about a food truck I suppose. Glad I tried it but it wasn't so awesome I'd come back for more.

A Halal Guys dupe that deserves your attention! A very unassuming food truck on the corner of a 76 gas station who would've thought it would have some VERY solid Middle Eastern food. I got the Habibi's platter and it definitely goes toe to toe with Halal Guys mixed platter. I have to give the slight edge to Halal Guys because of their addictive white and red sauce. However, the fries on top of the Habibi's platter gets it very close, but a better white sauce or additional red hot sauce would make it easily surpass the competition. If you like Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food, you cannot go wrong with Habibi's Grill!

Perhaps, some of the other items could be better. They seem to have some nice baked good options. I guess the $ is competitive, but for $20+ for an entree and soda... Service: order at the register. Server did offer to let us choose 2 different meats for our two #41 Koobideh plates (2 beef skewers for $25), but I think we would have been better off just ordering one #61 All Koobideh plate (3 different meat skewers for $34). One plate has plenty of basmati rice for two people to share. She suggested the two #41 orders, instead of answering how much an extra order of rice would cost. Maybe you can't order a side of rice? Rice comes with each entree. By ordering the 2nd plate, she offered or included the $8 Bread Basket for no extra charge. It was my friend's birthday. I wanted to pay, and she wanted to order extra to go, so I wanted two separate bills, but it seemed too complicated to explain or disallowed. After the food was delivered to the table, server didn't check on us anymore. I guess the restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays. My friend thought all the koobideh tasted the same. I liked them in this order: 1) Lamb, 2) Chicken, and 3) Beef, but they're the same texture, so they aren't all that different. I should have ordered a different 2nd entree, instead of two Koobideh plates. The #18 Bademjan Borani eggplant appetizer was yummy. It did come with some bread, so you don't have to order the bread basket. The bread is served warm. The basmati rice was light and fluffy, but not flavorful or buttery. You can pay a $4 upgrade to switch the rice to salad or a fancier stir fried rice. Read the Vegetarian Dishes menu section to learn about the various fried rice or polo preparations. Our server suggested the Fava Bean Rice or Baghali Polo because it is a Persian New Year dish. Yelp reviewers recommended the Zereshk Polo, which includes barberries, a fruit similar to currants. $10 to add a skewer of veggies. $4 to add a salad is mentioned under the Vegetarian Dishes menu and Seafood & Combination Plates menu. I didn't like how the sugar cubes for the Persian Tea were served. It looked communal and exposed to the elements. You could see sugar dust on the serving bowl. Other Persian restaurants serve the sugar in a smaller covered bowl. Formal dining room. Lunch specials are Monday to Friday, 11 am to 3 pm, excluding holidays. Lunch prices range from $16-$20. 3 different $8 soup offerings: chicken barley, ashe reshteh, or green lentil.
