I arrived about 20 minutes after placing the order but still had to wait another 20 minutes, making the total wait time about 40 minutes. The beef shawarma was disappointing--it wasn't thinly sliced as expected but more like chopped or minced beef, and the flavor just wasn't up to par. I also ordered three kibbeh balls but only received two; the third was oddly replaced with chicken nugget pieces. The chicken tawook wrap was poorly prepared, lacked flavor, and was very underwhelming. Overall, the food didn't taste good, and with the long wait and odd substitutions without considerations. With salad but barely filled half way in the half-sized to-go box, for $18. Came with a side of "pita bread" but it's actually pieces of flour tortilla... what?? Biggest complaint is the wait. With only 2 people ahead of me, having to wait over 30 minutes for my food. I see only 2 guys working in the kitchen and one of them is the cashier, ON A LUNCH HOUR. Sad story because I remember it tasting pretty good the first two times, but it was closer to their opening. The pita bread tasted like plastic, and it smelled very strange. I also had an issue ordering online with Grubhub for pickup before, so I had to go in-store to order. I'd suggest just ordering in person or on their official websites because you won't be able to see the full menu. I didn't get to taste the meat by itself as the plate is served with sauce on top of it, I would probably ask for it on the side next time. The rice is different than what I am used to as it is yellow and seasoned. It was not bad, just different. Fattoush and Hummus are pretty standard anywhere you go, and these fall right in line with the rest of them. The menu is bigger than I am used to at these kinds of restaurants which in intrigues me to try other menu items. Restaurant: There is plenty of parking and seating at Habibi Grill. It is located in a large shopping center, which means a large parking lot. You should have zero issues finding a spot. Inside there is plenty of tables! Notes: Habibi Grill prides itself in serving Zabiha (hand slaughtered halal meats). I took it to-go, but the place is definitely clean and spacious. I haven't found a go-to dish, but I've only been twice so far. I also got the hummus and tabouleh, which they said they make to order instead of making it in advance and letting it sit. Clean and tidy space - huge plus. The family that owns the place are welcoming and patient. They took the time to explain the dishes we were thinking about. They gave us a plate of stuffed date leaves (highly recommend!) and also offered to give us baklava. Updating my review for 2024, but I have gone to Habibi Grill a couple times for takeout and I am glad to say that this place still hits the mark when it comes to flavor, freshness, and the sweetest service possible. Mo and his staff were so generous when taking my order and I did notice that they added a few more items on the menu like arayes and a plethora of desserts (cannot wait to try their knafeh). I am a huge falafel fan and I've had it in various establishments all over, but the way Habibi Grill's falafel are crafted is magical. Each bite yielded a herb-packed kiss of flavor accentuated by the sweet onion undertones. I usually get baba ghanoush for my order alongside the tabbouleh, but decided to be a tad healthier and get their house salad as a refreshing addition. Did I mention that the portions are so generous? I can easily make two meals out of them and given the cost of everything these days, it's a steal.
