I find myself a lot of times just going here to look and am always really impressed with how they arrange and decorate and then inevitable almost always fall in love with something and have to buy it. Must stop for whenever we are in the area. The ultimate value is in your life improvement for just walking in and getting the nice things that you cant find other places and that improve the quality of your life. The staff is friendly and reminds me more of people that are doing what they would want to do as a hobby most of the time,

Honestly, if I could sneak in and live in the store or have them decorate my house the same way I'd be all in. Walking inside feels like an instant hug for your soul--comforting, serene, and kind of magical. I spent ages marveling at the jaw-dropping selection: lush succulents, colorful leafy, quirky mossy plants, and more. But it's not just about the greenery--there are incense, books, crystals, butterflies, soaps...you name it! The store smells heavenly, looks incredible, and has a calm yet playful vibe. It's less like shopping and more like embarking on a delightful, mini adventure. They're not bargain-bin-cheap, but they're fair--think solid value for truly unique finds. The person running the place is beyond lovely: friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and endlessly patient with all my enthusiastic (read: relentless) questions. Eventually I had to leave because I was making a very long mental list of plants I wanted to buy but likely to kill at home.

I wish I could say otherwise because I'd really like to support this place & the local artists represented. While shopping, another guest asked the cashier about if any weaving classes were available in the near future but the only response was a grunted "no." Seems like a friendlier response was warranted so I stopped the shopper on her way out to tell her & her daughter about "A Place to Weave" in Fitchburg, MA. My point is, isn't the Worcester Center for Crafts mission to support the craft community? It isn't hard to do and a friendly word goes a long way.

Glassblowing was very interesting but too hard for me. I'm really glad I took it for the experience and I would probably do it over again just to try it out. It requires a lot of coordination, so if you are as klutzy as me, you might find it too difficult too. As described in their catalog, flamework is: Tthe process of shaping glass rods and tubes into small objects over the flame of a torch. Begin by making beads, pendants and marbles to establish a foundation of technique. As the class progresses, projects will advance to include the creation of solid sculpture and hollow forms such as flowers, holiday ornaments, and perfume bottles. Small class sizes and one-on-one instruction allow students to work at their own pace. I love this class and the instructor, Jake Vincent, is patient and a great teacher. You don't have to be quite as coordinated to do flamework. In addition to glass classes, they have classes in clay, metal, fiber, photography, wood, and design and multimedia. They have a gallery too. I haven't been yet, because the glass studio is in a separate area of Worcester. I've heard its great and intend to go soon. I'll update this post when I get there. Oh, and it isn't as far from Boston as you think. Check out their catalog on their Website.

My aunt and I came out from New York and we had a great day. It had just started to snow so the grounds were beautiful. We spent so much time in this store and enjoyed every minute of it. There is so much to see. Literally ceiling to floor; wall to wall of Christmas decorations. It's beautiful. I had to take pictures of it all. I wanted to show everyone back home. We were so lucky when we came it wasnt very crowded so we didn't feel rushed; I love the ornaments I bought and my aunt was really happy with her purchases as well. We keep talking about returning, but it is a 6 hour drive from where we live. Maybe this coming year. Also, and the best part of the store honestly is the gentleman who owns the place. He was so nice and just lovely to talk to. We had told him we were from out of town and he wasn't the type of guy that just brushes you off after you make your purchase. He was very down to earth and made conversation with us. He recommended this great antique shop to stop on the way home. He even gave me some a carton of cider on the house. Very nice guy! Also, his dog Clancy is just precious! I would recommend this place to everyone! This place is magical!
