I ordered a dress on Fashion Nova for my baby shower it came in last minute and I tried it on and it did not fit and needed so many different adjustments. I called Trippies and they had told me that typically for what I needed done I would have needed to call weeks in advance. I expressed my urgency and concern as my baby shower was only three days away. I was asked to come in same day so they can look at it, I tried the dress on and the nice lady said that she doesn't know if they'll be able to make it work with how much adjustment the dress needed. She called over her coworker, and forgive me for not Remembering their names. He looked at the dress 360 and he said he could make it work! I left my dress with them at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon and they close at 5 PM. They had my dress altered by the following early afternoon. I came back in to try it on the next day and only minor adjustments needed to be made. They had my dress ready again the next day before my baby shower. They were so kind and helpful and did what they could to make it work and be just on time with such short notice. I will always come back here. They shortened the sleeves, hemmed the dress, fixed the latch on back or dress, made a stitch to bring up the V line , and tightened the shoulders . They even added extra fabric to the side of the dress because my baby bump would not allow the zipper to go all the way up! The dress looked beautiful and they really made it work. read more

I was told Trippi's was THE place to go for alterations, upon arrival i was met with good service and dropped off my uniforms (4 blouses, 2 patrol caps). Upon picking them up next week rank insignia was sewn upside down, fine mistakes happen. Upon picking the items up 2 days later, insignia was sewn on correctly however was extremely crooked and not centered on majority of my items. This was immediately pointed out to me by my fellow platoon members upon RFD at the barracks. only 1 blouse and 1 Patrol cap was deemed serviceable by my line leaders. This is an extreme dis-service to me as I thought i was going to receive high quality and received everything but. I can understand that mistakes happen, but you can only mess up so many times before a customer begins to question the business. I was told OCP uniforms were worked on before by this location but it seems as though I was lied to. read more

I have gone to Trippi's several times over the years both at the Main St. Worcester location and now in Shrewsbury. Usually I go for zipper work and sometimes for sewing on jackets like pocket holes or lining repairs. Recently I brought my vintage brown leather bomber jacket for lining repair. My jacket is in excellent condition except for the lining. The woman who repaired the lining did an outstanding job an went beyond the basic repair to also repair the ling at the cuff to protect the cuff from any future damage. The people at this store are always friendly, informative and provide excellent service. I wouldn't go anywhere else for repairs. Great store. D. Landry read more

Absolutely upset. I came in to exchange my scrub pants and at the same time I had to get my scrub top altered. I was sent to the back to the alterations. The lady insisted on having her hem/taper my pants, WHICH I WAS NOT INTERESTED IN....after trying to explain to her I didn't need it tapered and that I just wanted to exchange, she was just determined to get my extra $18 out of me.... I'm a broke nursing student, I do NOT have the money to be paying extra when I could just exchange with no fees. Ridiculous. read more

Trippis used to be my favorite spot so spend my clothing allowance but now every time I get embroidery work done its screwed up! This year I have had 7 polos with issues 3 of them needed to be re-embroiderd twice so it looks really crappy. They have also screwed up one job shirt the embroidery looks almost cartoonish I'll post pics of what I ordered vs what I got. I know they send embroidery work out but whoever they are sending it to sucks!! They should deffinetly fire them my entire department wont go anymore do to the embroidery an the fact that 90% of what we wear is embroidered. read more

I needed petite scrubs and I was referred here. They are definitely very well stocked, but I'm an XXS petite and they were out this day. They can order online (which is cheaper), but I needed these scrubs now, so the retail assistant suggested an XXS regular and they can hem it for free in the back. In the time it took me to pay, I got my scrubs hemmed to the perfect length! Wonderful selection and service from this local, family-owned business. They also give out coupons. Unfortunately another mistake was made on my embroidery. I went once and my lab coat was mixed and and they ended up embroidering the wrong lab coat. It was frustrating as I needed it for nursing school and it wasn't ready for weeks because of the mistake, but I appreciated that they fixed it and made it right. So I decided to give them another try and get my scrub tops embroidered by them. I specifically asked to have my last name on them. And I approved the carbon copy they gave me. So it was especially disappointing when they were returned with just my last initial... which I specifically told them not to do. At this point I can't wait the 2 weeks it'll take for them to fix them, so this was extremely disappointing. After two tries I'm done doing business with them. I love supporting local businesses but this makes for stressful situations when they keep making mistakes. read more
