Tested out their tea after as a pit stop and it is what it is: a Pit stop drink. Maybe I've just been spoiled by the smorgasbord of Boba options in Columbus but both the drinks I got were kinda diluted. The bubbles were stale, resulting in a tougher pearl. The Assam tea was watered down tasteless. Wouldn't recommend. The drinks are less sweet than your typical boba shop - which is fine - but if you don't tell your customers, it gets confusing when you ask for half-sweet and it tastes like nothing. The tapioca was also not as sweet as is 'normal'. Just okay. read more

I'm really not a fan of the bubble teas in the Akron area. I was recommended this place by my friends. This is a small bubble tea shop just outside of downtown Kent. It doesn't look like much but their bubble tea is exactly how I like it! I'm very particular about my bubble tea. I got a Taro bubble tea with regular boba light sugar and light ice. It was the perfect temperature and the boba had a very nice consistency. Service was friendly and fast. New to bubble tea and not sure what to get? Right when you walk they have their recommended flavors! I recommend stopping by here if Cleveland is a little too far out of the way for your bubble tea fix. read more

This is a great little place to get bubble tea. I wish they could make the Boba in a more healthier form. But they do have many other options. I personally like their plain green tea with the aloe vera. If you're looking for something sweet the taro root is a pretty good drink too. They have games available at this location and some comfortable seating. It's a nice place to gather with friends. Parking is easy because it's a little off the beaten path. read more

When I get bubble tea here, I go to my Ha ppy place. I've Ha d a lot of Bubble Tea in my day but it just so ha ppens that this is one of the best spots for it in North Eastern O-ha-o. But my friend Vera just walked in, so we should greet her. "Allo Vera!" This is a wonderful little place, not just because the Milk Tea is wonderful and spectacular. The woman working here is so nice, and sweet, and friendly, and the shop is so imaginative and full of fun and love. It reminds me in some ways of a more cluttered, less modern version of the adorable Cha Chat Cafe in Rochester. I think it's the best Milk Tea I've had in Ohio, although that's not saying much because this state isn't blessed in the way of Bubbles. I liked the Milk Tea so much, I also ordered the lemon tea - which was good, but the Aloe Vera I got in it was a little odd. For such a small town (Kent), I was shocked by how great this place is. Most small town bubble tea shops don't have much to live up to because the standards are low. But this place broke the mold and I'm very appreciative of that, because I was starting to think it wasn't worth trying small town bubble tea shops. I know it's ha rd for some of you to find good bubble tea, and I ha te bad service as much as the next Yelper, but this place is great with nice service, and will go straight into my bubble tea ha ll of fame. Salesperson was rude and disengaging. When I told her what I wanted she looked at me like it was a problem and like I was speaking alien language. I've been to loads of bubble tea places all over the u.s. and never had an issue. All I wanted was jasmine tea (sweetened) w/ a splash of almond milk and regular boba pearls. She questioned why I wanted almond milk then went further to ask if I was allergic to regular milk or if I just didn't like the taste. Clearly if I wasn't allergic she was gonna give me regular milk anyway. Not cool!!! So I said just skip the almond milk. Since for whatever reason she didn't want to give it to me because at that point I didn't trust that she would not give me regular instead and I didn't want to get sick. Tea was ok but pearls tasted like feet smell and were just not appetizing at all. Never had that happen before. The person who was with me ordered something and got the same Treatment and hers was so bad she Threw it in the trash . We went up the road to Ming's and boba was delicious. This is my second time here and the first time was just as bad. I won't be going back. I don't understand these good reviews..this place is horrible. DO BETTER! read more

I drive from Canton to come here, as it's one of the only Boba places in the general area. It's the best Bubble Tea and Boba I've ever had in my life! They have so many unique and delicious combinations! The atmosphere of the tea house is quaint and adorable, with board games and awesome decorations all over. There is limited seating, however, so taking your boba to go is the best option. My personal recommendation is the Kumquat tea with coconut jelly, or the peach milk tea with boba. I take all of my family and friends here when I can. I'm genuinely obsessed with it! read more

I am GrubHub and I have been sent there numerous times and their door be locked and nobody there. This is one of the most adorable bubble tea houses I've ever been to. The decor is super cute, the staff is super friendly, and the drinks send you straight to your happy place. The barista is very informative and will answer any questions you may have about the extensive variety of teas they have on the menu. Drinks are also prepared super fast! Jellies and popping bubbles change frequently, which is also a plus. I highly recommend the mango tea with blueberry popping bubbles! Soooooo good~ Milk tea is always a 10/10 would bang. I meandered over to HA!TEA this afternoon to treat myself with a lil' something new to me, bubble tea! They have many options to choose from (some of which I won't pretend to understand) but it was easy to locate a tea option that sounded good to me. I went with a mango bubble tea with boba (the latter part of which I'd been very skeptical about until now.) In the very brief time I was waiting for my bevarage I took a look around the very cute and cozy interior. The fun decorations, books, games, and cute decor will make this a great spot to chat with a friend or read a book. I had a book but all the tables were full so I simply got the awesomely large boba-size straw and took my tea to go! The drink was delicious and a particularly perfect refreshment for a nice sunny spring or summer day. The tea flavor itself was quite mild and offset nicely by the mango. Not too sweet or overpowering but light and a touch creamy. The boba I could really take or leave although I have to admit it's pretty fun to have largely flavorless but sweet and chewy bubbles in your drink. To be more succint, I think I may have found a new fave treat! I hope to return and try more adventurous flavors. read more

I have been here 4 times since they have opened a few weeks ago. I absolutely LOVE this place. It is the only of it's kind in the area. While getting into the shopping area can be diving during peak driving hours, there are plenty of parking spaces. The front is very eclectic and perfect for the atmosphere they are trying to create. I love the inside decor. A mix of wooden furniture, accents the sparse yet fun decor! Games for people to play line one shelf. I love the variety of teas to choose from. Ha tea is a local gem. This small bubble tea shop has such a quirky and cozy environment. The unique decor adds to this factor and the staff are friendly as well. The drink menu is huge so you'll definitely find something you like. Plus, the drinks taste amazing and bubbles come free! I'm used to paying an extra fifty cents for bubbles at most other places so this was a nice surprise. I forgot the exact name of the drink that I ordered but it was a Japanese brown sugar milk tea. I saw this tea place pop up while searching for bubble tea places near Akron, and the pictures looked very appealing, so I had to give it a try. It's about a 25 minute drive from where I work, but the drive was well worth it. This bubble tea place has a wide variety of flavors to choose from, as one might expect from a good bubble tea establishment. Ha!Tea gets very creative with their bubble tea flavors, including some exotic ones like Pumpkin Spice bubble tea. You also can put in other additives like coconut jelly and red bean, though I stuck with coconut jelly for my black sesame bubble tea. From what I can tell in pictures, you also have the option of adding cotton candy to the top of the drink, although I refrained from doing so. The tea itself was very good. Unlike a lot of other restaurants in northeast Ohio that just happen to serve bubble tea on the side, Ha!Tea doesn't just taste like a bunch of sugar and tapioca. There is a distinct tea flavor, a distinct black sesame flavor, and the coconut jelly accentuates both while also adding that extra bit of sweetness. The price is also very very affordable for the amount of tea you get with your order. One thing I must comment on is the ambience of this place. Ha!Tea is, for lack of a better word, a very cute restaurant. There are various figurines, Chinese books and Japanese books, and a wide assortment of posters and decorations that give a nice, homely, welcoming vibe. As my friend pointed out, it's a very good date spot. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a solid bubble tea experience in the Kent/Akron/Canton area. read more

Ha is a nice surprise. The menu is large and they seem to have new specials with the changing seasons. I tried the passionfruit green tea, which was really good. I've had it at other places and it was either way too sweet or way too tart/sour, but this one was well balanced. I also tried the special ginger tea, which was loaded with fresh slices of ginger that went right up the straw. Nice and spicy! Next time I'll have to try a milk tea so I can compare with the places in Cleveland. I really like the interior of this place. It's small, maybe even cramped if they were really busy, but it really adds character. I haven't been to China, but this place does remind me of the cafe's I visited in Vietnam. I'll definitely be back! Only complaint: The prices are a little high, but about average with the rest of the bubble tea places in the Cleveland area. But the quality makes up for it. read more
