When I went in to pick up my dress after alterations, it was 3 inches away from zipping up in the back and she instantly blamed me for gaining weight. (3 inches larger around in my rib cage in 2 months? I think not.) She had altered my strapless wedding dress to sit far too low on my body and when trying to fix it, made the bust far too big and it now gaps at my chest. I wanted to get out of there asap and will bring it somewhere else to get finished. Good chance you leave there feeling like shit and responsible for their mistakes. read more

This couple made our wedding dreams come true! My wife and I both got our dresses altered here and they handled my wife's "emergency fitting" with so much patience and understanding (we were living in California and she couldn't do her first fitting until less than a month before the wedding!). We had pretty big orders to fill, and they did an awesome job. The language barrier makes some of the things they say hilarious (I.e., "how much weight you gain?!" ) but they mean so well and are so sweet, sometimes reminding yourself that English is not their first language (which is totally fine!) helps bridge that gap. We definitely recommend them to anyone, especially someone in a crunch! read more

I was close to this business so I tried them to see how they would do to hem a pair of my pants. They did ok, I just don't like dragging my pants leg under my shoes and so on. This business did ok as I stated above. So I started bring my pants in and they took care of them. Until one visit I wanted a few pairs of pants and warm up and jogging pants. When I arrived there was only one person working, the old lady was pinning up a dress for the customer that obviously arrived before me. So I patiently waited and thought I would be next. The old lady finished up with the woman that was ahead of me and right before the old woman was done another two women walked in and all of a sudden I was dismissed by the old woman and took the two women that had just walked in. After I waited 15 or 20 minutes already. The old woman escorted me to the door and told me come back later. Touched my back like that was going to pacify me. Never before was I treated like that. So if anyone endorses customer service like that keep going there or try them out. read more

I called today to cancel an appointment for tomorrow, because I'm sick (I went to the hospital yesterday). I was just told that if I cancel I can't make any more appointments, and I said "Okay", because I still can't go. They said "Thank you" and hung up without getting my name, so not sure how they could cancel it without my name. I just think it is bad business to turn a customer away because of ONE cancellation (I could see if it was more than one) without knowing the circumstances. read more

I have lived in the area my whole life and have always used Ha for my alterations. I try and refer everyone I know to them because of their great work and price. A few weeks ago I brought in a bridesmaids dress for my brothers wedding That I was in. I told them when the wedding was and I was given a date to pick it up one week before that, which was a Thursday. I was not able to pick it up that weekend due to being out of town. I had planned to get the dress that Monday. On Sunday I got a phone call from the owners daughter asking if I was going to pick it up. She then said that the owners were going to be gone and the store would be closed the whole next week including the following Saturday (the wedding day!) I told her I was planning on coming Monday. She proceeded to tell me that she would meet me at the store and open it just so I could pick it up! I was very appreciative and told her.. thank you and I'm writing a review because that's what small business' are like and we need to keep them in business! I would recommend Ha to anyone looking for quality and affordability. Ha did my wedding gown after I was quoted hundreds of dollars more from the previous seamstress with whom I had visited. Ha did things differently and I couldn't have been happier with her recommendations and work on my gown. She took her time during my fittings and insisted on making some last minute adjustments, free of charge. I used Ha Alterations for my wedding dress alterations and they were fantastic. I received my dress in plenty of time prior to the wedding- they also made some last minute adjustment fittings before I left so I didn't have to come back. I also had a special request on my dress to have a piece of my dad's shirt sewn into the skirt a specific way. I was very anxious about it since it meant a lot, and it turned out perfect. They waited until I was there for my fitting to confirm the spot and sewed it in that day. My dress fit perfect and the pricing was very affordable. I have been taking various garments to Ha Alterations for years. Most recently, I brought in three dresses to be hemmed. After waiting three weeks for the dresses to be finished, I was charged $95 for the alterations. I was floored! When I asked why the charge, he explained that one of the dresses needed special work because it was a circular type hem job. Still, this cost is outrageous. Before leaving your garments, be sure to get a quote of how much they will charge. In the past, they posted a sign with charges but now that the sign is gone, they will make up prices depending on how they're feeling that day. And, I was a loyal customer! Terrible I dropped my dress Friday July 8th and they called me on Monday July 18th stating I can come in the next day to pick up So Tuesday I go to pick it up and they have no idea what dress I'm their for and have to look all over for it, they finally find it and it has not even been done yet !! they tell me I can wait a hour and it will be done..um no thanks they did not even apologize for the inconvenience. I picked it up Wednesday and it was done but no discount at all for having to come back for their error. Will not be going back again!! read more

I brought a bridesmaids dress in to be altered and had the absolute worst customer service experience. The dress was not ready when promised - they hadn't even started working on it yet. When I said I couldn't come back in an hour they handed me the dress back and said they couldn't help me. After a very tense exchange, I ended up coming back the next morning, but the owner was extremely rude and acted like it was my fault they didn't have the dress ready when promised. They did a decent job on the alterations, but it was not worth the hassle and horrible customer service. Plus when I picked up the dress the next morning, a man came to pick up his fiance's wedding dress and THEY COULDN'T FIND IT. I will never use Ha Alterations again. read more

I don't need to go into detail with specifics, but BRIDES -DO NOT TAKE YOUR DRESS HERE!!!! She RUINED mine and it's five weeks before my wedding! There is "nothing" she can or will do to help me, so I'm stuck with my ruined and stained wedding dress (she refuses to admit she stained it) and my dress looks worn (I bought it brand new from the designer). Ha Alterations is a disaster..!! Let me just elaborate : Took my daughters Becker bridal dress @ their recommendation , to Ha's. They were to shorten it, expand the top band( strapless dress) and give her more width in the bodice. When we returned for a fitting, the dress was shortened appropriately. That was it. The bodice was tighter than before and the top of the dress was so tight it actually gave her back cleavage and the zipper top was exposed. They asked her to take it off so they could TRY to fix it. 40 minutes later they bring the dress out and it was no better than before. They said there was nothing more they could do. The payment was $450. They only take cash and checks which lead me to believe they do some " unreported work" with reference to the IRS..!! They were rude and repeatedly said they could do no more. They don't keep any records of work actually done. I payed the unwarranted amount just to get the dress out of their shop. My daughter was in tears and my heart was breaking. A dress worth thousands of dollars and it was in worse shape than when I took it in!!! I took the dress to a highly regarded local seamstress and she was appalled at their work and cost. Oh, did I fail to say they decided to put in Madonna style cups that looked like her brass bra..!! The seamstress immediately remove the cups and recommended a strapless bra, loosened the bodice and was able to properly fit the top of the dress.. To do this she had to put in underarm vent type material because Ha had cut out all the additional satin and lace that could have been used to expand the top properly. There were other infractions but they are too numerous to list here. I'm calling the Better Business Bureau and Beckers to suggest they remove their name from the alterations list !!!! I rate them 0 stars!! read more
