Alex promptly got back to me with a very reasonable quote, and I was happy to learn they have weekend availability. As a professional working in healthcare, I hate to take time off on short notice, as it requires me to have 25-30 patients rescheduled last minute, which is unfair to both my office manager and my patients. Fortunately, XPower is flexible in their availability, which I greatly appreciated. They showed up between 9:00 and 9:30 AM on Saturday as promised; I did not have to wait around for hours for them like I've had to for other contractors. They promptly got to planning how to rout the wiring as I'd requested and got to work. They kept me abreast of their progress while I worked in my yard, and even though they hit multiple snags (to be expected in a 1930s home like ours), they managed to creatively strategize ways to get the work done exactly as I'd asked. Under normal circumstances, I'd expect to simply be told the work cannot be done as I'd like and to be offered some sort of half-baked alternative or worse -- to be told that the contractor is going to back out of the job because of the difficulty. Not these guys. These guys are the essence of "Where there's a will, there's a way." The crew was even happy to add on some last minute work I'd requested, as I had accidentally struck something in my wall the day before when I was installing some wall anchors to hang some paintings and unexpectedly set off a shower of sparks. Turns out I somehow managed to penetrate a live electrical box one of the previous owners had sealed over after they had removed some sconces from the wall. That was a lifesaver. I can't say enough good things about this crew. They're accountable, they clearly care about the work they do, and they'll do whatever it takes to get the job done. Any time I have any electrical work that needs to be done in the future, I will only be calling XPower, and I will be recommending them to all of my friends and family. I am already planning on having them back to install some more picture lights as well as a recessed media box and recessed outlet for my Samsung Frame TV and soundbar. They claimed my entire service line and panel were "compromised," yet they refused to provide the written diagnostic report I paid an additional $150.00 to receive. For three weeks, I was subjected to a cycle of misinformation and delays. My interactions with "Rob" (owner Robert West) were particularly unprofessional; after misleading me for weeks and stalling my project, he promised a full refund that never arrived. I was very worried after hearing this. Completely ignored for weeks. Rob gladly cashed my check though anyway. This company appears to rely on high-pressure "emergency" tactics followed by a total lack of accountability once they have your money. So accommodating that when they went into our attic to run wiring and found that some birds had entered my attic and were now deceased in my attic, they disposed of them for me. I was so pleased with their work that we hired them again to remove our old entryway chandelier and replaced it with an updated Sphere Chandelier. This was a 5-6 hour task and the two Electricians did an awesome job. They were tidy and I lovvvvve the new chandelier. I then hired again to add a Crystal Chandelier Ceiling Fan to my Closet room. Extremely satisfied with all of the projects they completed. My friend and neighbor even hired them to remove and install her new entryway Chandelier.
