The owner showed me fake documents claiming to be licensed contractor. He lied and said I didn't need permits just so he could take the job. Destroyed my property, and left with my money. In addition there were items removed and broken that were in my garage. The owner is a smooth talker and once he gets you all things will change. The crew is not managed so they just sit at your house and milk the clock. He does not order materials properly so creates waste and charges you for them . Very unprofessional and poor quality work. All in all a scam artist so beware. In addition, he will drag out your project and never complete it as he takes on new jobs and only has three people working for him. I am extremely disappointed with the cleaning I received. I spoke with Hugo 2 weeks before the deep cleaning and he had gone over pricing and how it works. He told me 3 women would one to the house, $28 per woman per hour which I was fine with. When the day came, 2 women showed up and worked for 4.5 hours. I have a 3/2. When time came to pay, my husband was told the total was $350. What?!?! This was almost $100 more than discussed. He called me and told me the issue, which I refused to pay and insisted that we speak with Hugo. His wife then told me he said $29/hr per woman (ok...$1 more does not equal to $100). We ended up paying $260 and giving $20 to each of the women for tip. Now a week and a half later, after having a house filled we guests, I am seeing that they missed things like the top of my curtains...HOW DOES THAT GET MISSED? H Santa Cleaning was referred to me through our Nextdoor neighborhood site. I have a 3,800 sq foot. 4 BR, 4 bath house, all wood floors. When Hugo first gave me an estimate, he explained that each weekly visit, the crew would rotate cleaning baseboards, light switches, blinds, etc between the upstairs and downstairs, i.e. basically deeper cleaning done every other visit. He told me that a crew of four would be there 3 hours each time. The first few months, everything went fine, but not great. The quality of the work quickly deteriorated and becomes worse each week. My home security system shows they are at my home anywhere between 1 hours 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes - NEVER more than that. Certainly not enough time for a house that large with wood floors. Issues that I have repeatedly reported: They use a vaccuum, rather than a broom - it does not get under cupboards in kitchen and bathroom or other tights spots and corners. Each week there are crumbs and evidence of spills on all floors; they have beat up my baseboards, chipping them with their vaccuum cleaner as well as dented my dishwasher; they broke a sentimental vase, then tried to stack it back together like nothing happened; furniture and rugs are not moved to vaccuum/sweep under. One day when I was home I literally witnessed one of the cleaners MOP AROUND MY DOG'S WATER AND FOOD BOWLS! I had to ask her to move them to clean under them. I have purposely left things like Q-tips and other items on the floors to see how long they will be left. Yesterday, a q-tip behind my bathroom door was still there after they left (4 weeks). Yesterday, I also specifically texted Hugo and asked for the sweeping again in tights spaces, reminded him I have been complaining for months about the crew being in and out too quick to do a good job, and sent him photos of specific dirty areas around the house that obviously have not been touched. After yesterday's "cleaning" the attached photos show a little of what was missed (I didn't get a photo of the make up drops left on my daughter's bathroom floor). These photos show an example of how they really work: 1. Mirror not cleaned at all in one bathroom and still full of finger prints; a spill in a corner where a glass of OJ was knocked over (this area was neither swept nor mopped); the light switches that I specifically asked to be cleaned yesterday, toothpaste on a bathroom drawer. Yesterday they were at my house for one hour and 16 minutes. Hugo does not reply to texts or complaints; his crew is often as much as an hour late, and their poor work just keeps getting worse. I had Hugo's crew doing a gutter cleaning at my house today. The whole experience was very professional. I called to make an appointment and he was really helpful to make his best to get an early appointment. And the crew arrived home even earlier than they promised and did a wonderful job. The crew was very professional and they clearly explained to me what they did, issues found and how they fixed it. Finally, the price is the lowest I could find after calling couple of places. When everyone quoted $180 to even $400 for the same job, Hugo and the crew only charged $130. Really recommend this service to anyone. Thanks guys. read more

This con artist needs to move to another region, where he can attempt to develop a new reputation. After scheduling him 3 days in advance, Hugo failed to show up at the scheduled time. When I called an hour after the scheduled time, Hugo did not remember a thing about our appointment. After I refreshed his memory, he said, "Oh yeah, can you hold." I replied by saying "yes." He then hanged up the phone. When I called back 10 minutes later, he failed to pick-up the phone. Since I could not schedule anyone else for the day, I tried to call him back an hour later only to have my call redirected to his FULL voicemail, which likely includes messages from other dissatisfied customers. He quoted me $300 for 5 bedroom & 3 bath for first time cleaning & $200 for monthly cleaning. So glad that I didn't pick him when I was looking for regular housekeeper. This review is based on one time cleaning and my realtor sent him and his team to clean my house. I asked him upfront if he uses professional cleaning solution to clean my hardwood floor and he said yes. When he left, his crew scavenged through my cabinets for cleaning solutions. His crew used my handsoap to clean my Harwood floor. I called him and questioned him, his response was that it's good and safe for hardwood floor. Ridiculous! If it's so good, why are there specialized hardwood floor cleaners! Overall, his crew did a semi decent job, but I would question their cleaning techniques. Hugo was referred to me by my family friend...so i scheduled a cleaning with these guys to prepare for upcoming open house appointments. I texted Hugo, gave him my information and requested the house to be cleaned as soon as possible. Hugo initially told me the crew would be by the house at 0600 A.M. to which I agreed. Then later that day, i received a text saying the crew was coming at 0430 A.M. I think this is a completely ridiculous time to ask anyone to wake up and have a cleaning crew impose on their sleep. I was completely confused on why the time changed to zero dark thirty, but i went along with the plan to get this over with. That morning, I had to leave me house at 0430 in the morning and sleep in my car for 4 hours while the cleaning commenced. I then received a text message from Hugo asking me if i was going to pay or if Mark was going to. I told him I would be the one making the payment and i asked him how much it was going to cost. (which never got discussed before the cleaners came- Totally unprofessional) I didn't hear back from Hugo for three whole days! When i got home, i noticed the blinds and back door were a complete mess and were definitely not touched. I immediately contacted Hugo via text message and requested the ladies come back to finish their job. Instead of asking me when i was available, Hugo TOLD ME " see you around 9 tomorrow." I responded by telling him i had work that day and would not be available. Then i waited another day to hear back from him. I ended up having to reschedule my photographer who was supposed to take pictures of the inside of the house because this cleaning job was not completed. I received a text from Hugo around 10:35 PM TELLING ME the ladies would be at the house around 8 AM. I never agreed to this meeting time and thought it was completely unprofessional that i was told this information so late at night. I woke up to the cleaning crew knocking on my door when i never agreed to have them come in the first place! When i tried to explain what i needed to be cleaned, the ladies were confused and didn't really understand me. Instead, they looked at me like i was completely crazy. I was then asked to pay $387 for this so-called "deep cleaning." After the crew left in confusion, I was preparing the house for the photographer when i noticed the guest bathroom's bathtub was left a complete mess!!! They didn't bother to even try cleaning it. This whole experience has been more than a headache and I can't believe this is an actual "professional company." Beware! We were referred to Hugo Santana 1 1/2 years ago. Hugo is a smooth salesman! We were told they were fully insured and always take care of any problems. Rosa, his wife, leads the crew while cleaning. We had inadvertently left a container with our coin collection valued at $40,000 + on a bedroom dresser during their visit. The entire coin collection disappeared during that visit. Hugo said his insurance would cover our losses, but his agent informed us he has no coverage for theft. A Police investigation is ongoing. We have learned that this type of theft is not uncommon, but that most people are too embarrassed to come forward, especially those in our senior years. There can be little doubt as to what happened.
