European Foods - Interior, so much to look at! (2/13/23)

The prices are great too, especially for Seattle. I also love the store. I buy salted and smoked mackerel here often. They have a large selection of imported sausages, cheeses, and beer. The people are nice too.

At first glance, you see a nichè European grocery store. But it's not until you enter that you see it's much more. It is a small grocery store, minus the produce. It also has a very Eastern European vibe. At first, you think 'Russian', but in reality, it's Ukrainian. There is a shared regional heritage, but it stops there when you walk a big room, which is actually their dining room serving some yummy regional favorites. Sitting down and looking at the menu, your eyes take in all the choices. Chicken Kyiv, Beef Goulash, and house made mushroom soup. There was also fresh house baked bread to round out the experience. What was most appreciated was that the meal and the service were definitely homemade, and with treated with love! Do you wish a beverage with your meal? Walk back to the store and order a canned soda, or choose from one of variety of wines off the shelf - European vintages, of course. Come a little bit early, as the restaurant closes near 7 pm, but the store is ready to serve you until closing. [As of this writing, July 1, 2024, the war in Ukraine is still waging. There is lots of support for the people of Ukraine in this establishment. Feel free to ask how you can help the people in war-torn Ukraine here!]

Uwajimaya has to be the largest, cleanest, and nicest Asian grocery stores I've ever been in and…read moreI'm jealous this isn't local to me! Also wish I didn't discover it my last night in town because I would have stopped in almost everyday. Huge selection - from health & beauty, dishes, alcohol, prepared food, and just about everything you can imagine from the food side (pantry and fresh). Large produce selection with a lot of items you can't easily find in an "everyday American" grocery store. I also loved they carried salad mixes. The meat and seafood area had great selection and was so clean and fresh! The pantry type items also had an incredible selection. I wish I could have stocked up on so many things. For a quick lunch or dinner, stop by and try some of their prepared food items - great selection and I felt reasonable prices. I loved browsing all the aisles and was so inspired to want to make a delicious meal. Since I was traveling, I could only pick up a few items! Hope when I return to leave some extra room in my suitcase. Great store!

They have many sections, grocery, snacks, drinks, kitchen supplies, stationery and more. I definitely love the chips section. More options than NJ. I would have bought the whole shelf if I can. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but they seemed nice.

Yay! We have a T&T in Lynnwood. We became a fan of T&T when we stayed in Vancouver. Our main…read moreattraction was the hot food buffet station since shopping here always meant, yummy food at the end. My 5 year old really enjoys many of their hot food staples. The T&T in Lynnwood doesn't disappoint at all. While it is smaller than the Factoria location, we do not personally have any complaints. The place is not always packed like the Factoria location and that is a a relief. We primarily use the food & bakery sections, live fish, and frozen food sections. One can say they are a bit pricier in comparison to places like Ranch Market who have similar options but we T&T is closer to us than Ranch Market and so we prefer to go here as it is more convenient. They are special items during Boat Festival every year and we absolutely love the bun station during this time. This is also a great place to experiment with a lot of not usually found Asian alcohol in main stream supermarkets unless you are specially going to a specialty shop.

I did get some uShu Mai, which I really enjoyed, but I could've gotten it cheaper at Trader Joe's. I also found the fresh fruits to be a lot more expensive. I used to go to quite a few Asian stores in the international District, and usually the fresh foods were all cheap cheaper than any typical grocery store, but it seems to be the opposite of of this store. They do have some cute shopping parts for the little ones that are small shopping carts at a very low level for children to push and say "shopper in training". Really love this. Lines are pretty long but the nice benefit is that the cashiers are all humans and that they are not using self checkout. They typically have 2 cashiers working during the daytime. Not sure if they have more during evening hours.
