See that's the manager, just boxed up my FRUSH (not fresh...FRUSH) apple strudel bites.

I absolutely LUUV H-E-B! Who still shops at Walmart for their grocery needs? Why? Walmart veggies go bad with 24 hours and you can see mold. Now don't try and compare and say Fiesta because no comparison not same level and I'm not going to waste my tap, tap on my iPhone or my thinking abilities to debate..Fiesta's meat YUCK. Or how comparing Joe V's to HEB - NOT because Joe V 's gets most of their item from picked over canned goods from HEB..look their dented and shelf life not far off. If you have a family of 6 and food goes fast Joe V's. Joe V's pastries expire with 2-3 days, veggies picked over from HEB...I'm not here to convince only review for sport. Going to H-E-B for me is like Little Red Riding Hood skipping through the forest on the way to grandmas house. Y'all need to check out their Meal Simple meals, if I had a family of 4 to cook for and didn't want to slave over a stove BOOM HEB is your go to. Office workers, y'all can pack your microwave lunch for under $10....LOOK at my photos! Vitamins, just the other day I noticed they not only have pharmacy vitamins but also an entire idle devoted to all natural vitamins, minerals, diet pills, informercial brands vitamins and shark tank supplements. They offer weighted coffee, nuts and bulk foods for your nutritional needs. Go check out your local H-E-B they will change your life.

The food is top quality, the employees are always so nice and ready to help in any way they can, and I like that the isles are clean and organized. I've ordered from their bakery so many times for any occasion, my guest enjoy it every time. They're always so surprised I say "It's from HEB!" I recent orders cupcakes for my sons birthday. Cakes were moist for days after, the frosting was perfect. Fluffy and not overly sweet.

what can i say? here everything really is better literally my favorite supermarket. a few things i love: the customer service, the heb home goods, you can sample the meat before you buy in the deli, the diversity and variety of products and lastly the locally sourced heb brand products.

We love H‑E‑B! Always great produce and meat. My kiddos(okay and me too) love going on Sunday for the samples. The bakery is our go to for birthday cakes! They are amazing at customization and take a lot of pride in their design. It's obvious they enjoy what they do because it shows in their work! I am always in shock when I pick up the birthday cake because it turns out so much better than I expect.

Attention Sugar Land: We now have our very own Central Market! They may have called it HEB Sugar Land Market, but that's because it is in the suburbs.... but it is the suburban Central Market! We went to the preview and Grand Opening of this HEB and knew it was going to be a big store but we didn't know it was going to be this grand. We had watched this store be built from the ground up and it is truly gigantic. It has the typical stuff like a gas station, produce, wine and beer area, etc.... but what sets this HEB apart is that it's like two stores in one. On the right side of the store you have a Central Market like experience called Sugar Land Market and on the left you have a more typical grocery store. The Sugar Land Market side (like Central Market) has some amazing features. There are central market pre-made food, Central Market Cafe on the Run, an amazing deli with tons of different types of fresh made bread, home made tortillas, fresh made sushi, artisan cheeses, and even live cooking demonstrations. As we made our way around the store, we found a coffee bean roasting station, health food / natural products, grind your own nutbutter, bulk dry goods, and all the typical grocery store items. I was very impressed with the number of managers on the floor as we walked around. You MUST go check out this place. Not only is it new, clean, and bright, but it is really attractive. The walls are color coordinated to each section. HEB has definitely spent some serious money into making this fabulous grocery store. This WILL be our regular grocery store from now on. --------------------------------------- Edit 11/27/11: I didn't want to update already, but I had to add this edit note. I dropped this place a star because they have really brought the class level down. They have now installed a Redi-clinic inside (there are clinics and hospitals all around this area) and are in the process of adding a nail salon and Gold store. Please... those "we buy gold" places are horrible and we don't want one inside the HEB. Ugh.

I like this market a lot! Great selection of every kind of food. It's a little bit pricier than an average Houston store, though.

This store I visited today seems brand new but most of photos have been around for years. Has this store always been at 530 Highway 6 and University?

Yes it has! Great store!!!

This Whole Foods location in Sugar Land is one of my favorite grocery stores for fresh produce,…read morebakery items, organic foods, specialty diets, and high-quality meat and eggs. If you're looking for gluten-free, vegan, or other specialty products, the selection here is excellent. The store is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. A nice bonus is the Amazon return counter inside the store. You can bring eligible Amazon returns without packaging, and they handle the rest. One thing I wanted to mention for anyone trying to take advantage of the current Amazon Prime ice cream promotion (50% off pints through July 7): this location has had ongoing ice cream issues. I visited twice recently and found the freezers completely empty both times. On one visit, staff said they were waiting on a shipment; on the next visit, they explained that the freezer had broken and posted a sign stating that no ice cream pints were available for sale. So if you're specifically coming for the ice cream deal, I'd recommend calling ahead first or checking another Whole Foods location. Aside from that issue, it's still a great store and a very convenient Whole Foods for the Sugar Land area.

There just is nothing so overwhelming that the price per pound should be as high as it is. Salad bar items are 11.99 a pound. Olive bar, I would expect to be higher but not 11.99 as well. I completely understand and it's very well known that because of its organic food selections and quality that Whole Foods does selectively market to a higher economic demographic that is less price sensitive. However, I am in that upper demographic and I'm getting distracted by getting a salad and some olives and walking out of the store with a $35 bill. At this price, I can just eat at a restaurant, and a decent one at that.

She didn't see it and asked another employee who told her it was seasonal and not in stock. I went to the photo counter and asked if the machine was working. I had needed photos made at Christmas and it wasn't working. (Their photos are pretty clear at an affordable price.) They explained there were so many orders that it was constantly working and a specific piece (he said the name but I can't remember) broke and had to be ordered.

Disappointing Service and Battery Issue Ignored…read more I had a very disappointing experience at this location on June 11. The staff seemed uninterested and unmotivated--only a couple of people had any kind of friendly demeanor. Most of the employees ignored customer questions, and there was a general lack of communication. I brought my car in because the battery, which I had purchased from this location (and is still under warranty), was failing. AutoZone had previously tested it and recommended a replacement. At the counter, one employee checked my invoice and took my key, then handed it off to a service technician. I waited inside, saw the car being tested, and then it disappeared--so I assumed they were doing a road test. Nearly an hour passed with no updates. I tried asking staff members what was happening with my car, but no one responded or seemed to care. A woman at the counter even refused to help because I didn't have the service intake form--something I was never given in the first place. Eventually, I found my car parked outside, in a place that wasn't visible from the service area. It took extra time to get my key back, again because there was no paperwork showing I had dropped it off. I was told the battery tested fine, yet in the past week alone, I've had to jump-start the car three times. This kind of service is unacceptable--especially when dealing with a warranty issue. I expected more professionalism and basic communication. Definitely not coming back here. Update as of June 18: Due to the same battery failure in my vehicle, I was stranded on the road again. I first went to the nearest Walmart Supercenter at 22850 Morton Ranch Rd, Katy, where I waited in line, only to be told when it was my turn that they didn't have a replacement battery of the same size. I then drove to the 25108 Market Pl Dr, Katy location, where I experienced the same issue. Finally, I was able to get the battery replaced at the 1313 N Fry Rd, Katy location. Unfortunately, I lost another half a day dealing with this problem.

Has similar set-up too, but i was told that ownership is different, so am thinking its on the lines of a franchise. Their food corner is much bigger with an in store kitchen. I believe some items like the vada pav, the samosas , and of course the dhokla get shipped to Hillcroft from here. They have an in house chat corner with two tables tucked away which I wouldn't suggest. Its a place to sit down for a bit, while I do appreciate the idea, it felt like I was eating in the middle of a warehouse , I didn't like it and did not even enjoy the bhel I bought. It probably was good I cannot say, I was famished and was so glad to find that they had my favorite chats, but once I sat down I just gulped down and couldn't wait to escape towards the better side of the store.... I would get a to- go next time. The vegetables I bought were fresh and the crates and crates of mangoes were just soo inviting. They carry everything required in an Indian kitchen and much more.

I have been going to Keemat Grocers since 1988 when it was on Settler's Way and Hwy 6. I bought products for the upcoming Lakshmi puja, but I dropped the bag on the floor and it touched my feet. I wanted to exchange four items ( a coconut , paan, bel leaves, and 2 suparies), and this staff initially wouldn't exchange the items and said so rudely and said to just wash them. I told him no and he very rudely asked me to get the items. I was shocked with his rudeness as if I was trying to get things for free. I would appeal to Bengalis in Sugar Land not to support Keemat grocers unless they train their staff to be polite and cordial.

It is next door to 99 Ranch and whatever I couldn't get there, I surely found here (thankfully). I was looking for mint, Asian cucumbers (long ones and the ones I used to grow in my garden), eggplant, white yams, other greens, even spotted perilla and a wide variety of bok choy. The melon and jackfruit were overripe and I could smell them. The selection of tofu and tofu byproducts was vast but too expensive. $3.99 for tofu that I can get way cheaper at any non-Asian grocery like Kroger's, Walmart, or HEB; it costs me $1.99. Or I could just buy it in bulk at Costco. Even the San San Tofu tofu looked to be sitting in lukewarm tainted water for days or weeks, it wasn't chilled. Also, the amount of shipments and boxes that litter the aisles is more of a hazard and a liability since they block products on the shelves. I almost tripped looking at the green onions because of an empty box aimlessly lying in front of the area. The aisles towards the middle section of the store are as narrow as ever with more boxes in the way. I attempted to look for the Three Ladies brand rice paper, but of course, they didn't have it. I've only been able to locate them at H Mart. I mean, this store is just not affordable when it comes to the frozen food and buns selection. I honestly did not have any issue with the staff or customer service because there was one thing that happened, the cashier did not speak. I didn't greet her and she just did her duty. It was perfect and kind of wish it was like that everywhere. I come in stores to shop not to hold a conversation. I'm glad I didn't get disgusted looks either. When I asked an employee in the produce department where a scale was, he said, "No." I said that there HAD to be one as I needed a certain amount of white radish. He just stared back at me. The other employee next to him pointed to the far corner. Now, the "flank steak." As you can see from the picture, OVER half of the steak (blanched) is fat and membrane! It only comes packaged. I thought it had a thin membrane covering it, which would have been acceptable if it was over a long piece of steak. Didn't have time to go back. I arrived home at 6:30p and had to use it because the soup cooks for four hours and was being delivered tomorrow morning. (I hope that one star anise does not overpower the broth!) I should have had them unwrap it before purchase. Once, I bought a doong/joong/zongzi there that I unwrapped a few days later. It was moldy. When I returned it, no apology. Should have learned then to be aware. I will say that the cashier was friendly and smiled when she handed me the receipt.
