Nice and clean place to shop. Its a new one in the long line of mix of Indian Grocery Stores + Take away food. They have a couple of tables and chairs to sit as well. So if you feel like having a quick chai chat, you could do that. I like the new store feeling here. Aisles are clean, price stickers are being put up. The food they claim to make fresh every day. The girl on the front desk of the take away section, told me they try to make everything in small batches including the snacks that way everything stays fresh. The stores's grand opening is on 7/23/2017 but I already saw a bunch of people come by for grocery shopping and food take out. Curries are about 4.99 each ,paneer ones are a dollar extra. They also have lunch special 5.99 for 2 vegetables, 2 chappati and Zeera rice. Rotis 45 cents each or 4.29 for 10 rotis. First time trying out the food here. We got the bhindi masala (very yummy), dal - the same style as we eat so definitely getting it the next time. Rotis are pretty big and tasty. I like that so that we do not have to do a quick roti run. Also tried the vada (1 dollar each?) and dahi vada. Both of them were ok to taste, decent for a non chaat place. Also got the carrot halwa for 2.something. It took a bit of time to come out which I am ok with as the food is fresh. We definitely loved the food so going back for more. This place has the best pani puri we have ever had. We just happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to drop by. The shelves inside this grocery store were so well organized, I was very impressed. Absolutely going to to bring the rest of the family here to try their other items in the cute snack bar in the back. Normally we buy food and grocery from this store. Recently got a box of marathon honey mango from this store. Most of the mangoes were bad inside when cut and the ones in the box started to show the rot externally. When we asked the store regarding the mangoes they said no reruns on the produce. How does this make sense ? How can a consumer complaint about the product without being able to return it to the store. The store can used this information to alert the distributer of the brand and send a message to the company which in this case is Marathon. I am sad to see their poor customer service and hope they understand the connection between customers and better quality product. They should not sell a product that they can't stand for. My husband and I came here on a random whim for the first time and left as repeat customers! We first went grocery shopping for spices and were really impressed by how organized everything was and the reasonable prices (which btw is a huge deal because my hubby compares prices to World Food Wholesale Market where everything is wholesale priced!) after shopping we decided to try out their vegetarian kitchen. We ordered the pani puri on the recommendation of the cashier, and BOY WERE WE PLEASED!! The pani puri was AMAZING! Definitely one of the BEST in Houston!! I forgot to take a picture, but honestly wasn't expecting to write a review so didn't think of picturing it. We also ordered the chai which was phenomenal too! We liked the pani puri so muchh that we packaged the leftover pani and bought some puris to make pani puri at home with their pani! SOO GOOD! You won't regret it!! read more

Review 10! The other day after having dessert around here i noticed this place and was curious to check it out. My family always goes to Chinese stores whenever they need everyday foods like vegetables and stuff, and I wanted to see other groceries other than the typical American ones and the Chinese ones we frequent so I decided to look around this Indian Grocery. It's pretty hidden from view and I only found this place when driving back from an ice cream shop. I've actually been to a couple Indian groceries already but this one is unique to the area due to the fact that there is also a small restaurant inside too! I only ordered a sweet lassi this time but it was good so I may be back to get other things. The market itself is ok. The aisles are kind of small and hard for me to get around but the service was very friendly. You can probably find some desi goods here that can't be found in other stores (maybe). It's not the closest Indian market to me, but maybe I could come back for the restaurant. read more

Whoever is management, increase support and streamline your checkout better. It should not take 30 minutes to check out a to-go order of 2 pieces of naan. The Prices are really high when compared to other grocery stores. And the workers are very much irresponsible and lazy and don't care about customers. Most of the time all the employees stay around food counter and they don't even come to billing lane even though customers stand in the lane waiting for billing. Went here for sweets. Although their selection is rather small, the freshness of them make them out of the ordinary delicious! Sweets are made every other day, starting Sunday morning and lasts well for a few days in the refrigerator to be enjoyed at a later date without becoming brick-hard. $8.99/lb regardless of which sweet combo you choose; highly recommend trying it if you're in the area..maybe not all of them at one go though ;) . read more

Maybe my standards are too high but I was not at all impressed with this. The store has very tiny aisles and sells most of the regular desi goods. However, when I went they had run out of plastic bags near the vegetable stand and I had to ask for bags. The lady left them on the register near the food pick up area instead of placing the roll of bags in the dispenser. The staff is friendly and the store is clean but I probably won't be coming here unless needed. We also got a thali from the restaurant and it was ample food for 2 semi-hungry people. The food was ok but nothing great. Maybe their chaats are better but since I did not try I can't comment. People in the area who don't want to drive to Hwy 6 might benefit from this shop but I don't see any other advantages. read more

This is a very neat place for Indian groceries and food. But it's full of overpriced items. The sabjis are too spicy. Once I asked for my family and said make it mild for kids and I got the spiciest vegetable sabji I have ever eaten. Also, samosas don't come with green chutney. Used to really like this place in the beginning, but not so much anymore. I go here a lot so I know this place pretty well. They have very poor customer service. Usually they have only one person at the register so lines are long and I've stood in line forever. The most annoying part is that they talk on the phone and take orders when they're at the register and completely stop checking out. Last 3 times I've been there they've had no red while chillies (round shaped), tapal danedar tea bags, pride paratha, and paneer cubes. They're often under stocked. I just went there 5 min ago to pick up pride paratha, which they didn't have, so I ended up getting a pack of "mirch masala" puff parathas and I opened it when I got home and every single one of them were broken.
