For the price of filet mignon, I expect professional butchering--not rough cuts that cook unevenly. Definitely not the quality I paid for, and I won't be purchasing this cut from here again.

I checked both packages for an expiration or "best by" date but could not find one anywhere on the packaging. I called the store and spoke with the manager (Omar), to explain the situation. He told me that there are no rules requiring expiration dates on frozen meat and stated that "frozen meat doesn't expire." He also assured me that I could return the product for a refund. After driving back to the store, Omar refused to honor what he had promised. Instead, he continued insisting that frozen meat does not expire and declined to issue a refund. I was disappointed not only by the quality of the product but also by the way the situation was handled. I expected the store to stand behind the products it sells and to honor the resolution that was promised. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I have had. I hope the store improves its product labeling, quality control, and customer service.

However, since it's right across the street from an HEB, it wasn't a major inconvenience. They roast some under their own brand, Phoenicia dark roast, ground some beans and they're great. Bought a bag roasted in Tomball called Cafe Copan, a medium roast that was very good as well. Grandkids got some goodies too, butter cookies. The conveyor belt that comes out of the overhead wall the pita breads come out of wasn't moving, hope it's not broken.
