This store has incompetent staff who are unwilling to help customers. The store manager rejected a valid online coupon from the manufacturer. He refused to try to verify online, despite that online verification instructions included on the coupon. He immediately turned it down saying that it was too easy to copy online coupons. The other staff I asked to verify online would not try to help since the manager had decided already. Since the manufacturer would reimburse the difference, HEB wouldn't have even lost any money from accepting my valid coupon. I will not return to this HEB without a change in management. read more

I frequent this HEB location simply because I LOVE HEB! Mind you, all locations are not equal (stay clear of the one on Aldine Westfield), but most are pretty nice. Anyhue, this location is quite similar to Central Market near the UK (Upper Kirby); you can usually find a chef or someone preparing small plates for you to sample and try at home ( I love those moments). HEB does get a bit crowded, but even so you're usually in and out in no time ONCE you are focused on what you need to get. The signage is pretty laid out (except for the soda, its by the beer), so that makes easy to find what you need. The staff here are pretty friendly, and the store is always clean. Most importantly, you get great food at great prices- even the organic options. There's so many brands to choose from for the natural and organic customers to the not so-much-ones. I love to shop here! Fresh produce and meat. They have variety wine, vinegar, olive oil, and more selection. Friendly and helpful staffs. When they first open this store, I kept hoping that they'll put Cafe-on-the-run here too. A little disappoint! Downside: - Sushi (a little too much vinegar. Sushi are good, but they're tasted sour from that too much vinegar) - No fresh flowers (this take their 1 star away). The FLOWER SHOP need a big improvement for it. - Sometime they do have some expired products on the shelves, but if you help them by pointing it out, they'll immediately take those off the shelves. I love HEB but the quality control at this location needs work! Over the last several months I've bought the milk I always buy (Central Market Organics) and two separate times it spoiled after a few days of opening it. Trust me, one of the most repulsing experiences is taking a swig of spoiled milk!! =\ lol I usually buy organic milk because the taste is better and it last longer. There shouldn't be a reason why it's spoiling so quick! I have noticed that the refrigerator doors don't close properly (or people leave them cracked open) so that may be causing the milk to spoil. Either way, this is not acceptable and it's never happened at any of the other HEBs I go to. Also, I recently bought a package of Mac n' Cheese and when I opened the cheese pouch it was caked as if the box had been exposed to moisture. Tried making it anyway but had to throw it away (sigh) and make Mac n' Cheese from scratch on a weekday. Make my life easier HEB and improve your quality control in order to keep loyal customers like myself happy and not ready to flee to the Kroger opening up down the street! read more

It's very obvious there is a lawn crew that comes and mows but the trash has been piling up. Hey now & Holy Buckets........ I pass up 3 Kroger's, a VERY (ahem) crummy small HEB, Food Fair AND a rip-you-off Walmart to go to THIS location. This HEB has everything I need/want & more. The staff is very very helpful.....OK, I get it, I'm very short (4ft something) and am unable to reach the higher shelves and there is always an employee around to help me reach things that I'm unable to get. Due to the great tasters, I now buy things that I would not have ever bought before. They are delicious. Thanks HEB for not only great merchandise but great employees too. This is my go-to HEB, with conveniently located less than two minutes from my house. The place is always clean, there's tons of registers open especially during prime time and the weekends, and the staff is friendly and helpful. These guys always have some sort of sale or coupons going on in order to save you money, and the best part is since they are so close, I can always happily drive past the Wal-Mart and vist HEB instead without a second thought. read more

Love this store and love the customer service and can always find employees to help me when I need help. It's clean, has uncluttered isles, great selection and lots of organic food choices. I have been an HEB customer for several years. I had a bad experience today in the make-up department. I was looking at different colored eye lash glue but not sampling it. I think that is disgusting. Sylvia in the make up department came up to me and said there is no sampling. I told her I was not sampling and she continued to hover over me. HEB is spoiling me for customer service, selection and value. My experience with cashiers and department workers has been top notch. I recently switched to their pharmacy after my old one got my prescriptions wrong for the third time. I'm almost always asked if I'd like assistance loading my groceries, my wife needed help finding some specific make up and the department worker took time to help her with a friendly attitude. Anyone who's worked in retail knows how hard it is to deal with the general public. When you actually get service with a smile, it doesn't happen on accident and deserves to be appreciated. read more

*I need to preface this by saying it is extremely rare that I accept samples of anything.* Not sure writing this will change anything and I don't know why I am complaining about this now. Is it discrimination or racist or are they one in the same? What I am talking about are the people that hand out samples and in my experience, they are rarely offered to me (black man). I was in HEB today and as approached the lady offering samples of Shock Top, she looked in my direction and purposely (i think) turned away from me, so she wouldn't have to offer anything to me. This isn't only an issue with HEB. I have experienced similar treatment at other stores (Target comes to mind). So to make sure I wasn't being overly sensitive and to validate what just happened, I decided to pass by her again. This time, she saw me coming kept her back towards me and as I passed, she turned in the opposite direction and offered a sample to another man (non-minority). If HEB management happens to read this, the mature sample lady that tends to be near the tuna aisle passing out samples has always been extremely pleasant and helpful in pointing me in the right direction. And, I have never accepted a sample of whatever she is handing out. read more

We used to shop at Kroger's in Spring when we first moved here. I never liked shopping there because it always kind of felt like I was going to get mugged in the parking lot for some reason. Nothing bad ever happened, but when HEB opened up, I made the jump. One trip was all it took and my family was hooked, and we never went back. They make shopping a great experience. Everything is always clean and well stocked. The selection is wonderful, and the prices are very good. I can't judge the staff to much mainly because I never really have a need to interact with the much except when checking out. And when we are checking out, they are always smiling and having a good time which makes you feel welcome. The parking lot is always being cleared of carts by a group of workers. Even when the weather is bad, they are out there hustling to gather up the carts. One thing I've noticed since Kroger has closed is that the customer base has changed a bit recently, and unfortunately not for the better. read more

This is my favorite HEB. The location is very convenient for me. Their product and meats are always fresh. They have great wine and beer selection and samples. My daughter likes to sample their yummy international cheeses as well. The store is well stocked, neat, organized, and clean. The bakery dept also rocks! Love my HEB! I started using the pharmacy there as well. They almost always have what I need in stock and if they have to order something I usually get it in 2 days or so. Unlike most pharmacies I have used. I have always had excellent customer service from the pharmacy staff and even the pharmacist himself. Even when a situation came up after I had major surgery and I didn't feel good and actually yelled at the staff (ashamed to say) the pharmacist calmed me down. I did apologize to them teary eyed. They may be a little more expensive than other pharmacies, but it is worth it to me for the excellent service. read more

I have been to this HEB several times in the past 3 years even though it is further away from my home then another HEB, Walmart, or Kroger. This place has the best selection of food and household items and the check out is quick for most of the times. I have shopped at this location several times and never had an issue today I went to one of the registers and it told me that you did not accept my card so I swapped it again and I just so happen to look at my bank statement and it showed that I had been charged twice for the same transaction before leaving the parking lot I turned around and went back into the store to talked to someone in customer service they advised me that they could not assist me at the store level provided me 800 number where you get hung up on or they don't answer at all I was told by a manager by the name of Vanessa to call the number which she didn't know the hours of operations and that it was the third-party company that assist with issues that they have been having with the card readers she refused to help me even though I had literally just walked out of the store and she could see the timestamp on the receipt but because I only have one receipt she can assist me I'm not sure where this one 800 number goes to but nobody answers at the number that she provided me was 800- 9874438 now I'm stuck in a loop to figure out how I'm supposed to receive a refund for the amount that I shouldn't of been charged in the first place I am highly upset and very frustrated I have never had an issue like this at an H-E-B ever the manager Vanessa was very rude and not understanding at all. read more
