I dread it when this is the closest grocery store on my way home. It is ghetto/dirty looking from the outside and entry way. Last time I was there they had fertilizer on sale on a pallet right next to the produce section. Nothing like smelling cow patty while trying to shop for food. The parking lot can be a Zoo at peak times during evenings and weekends. The more I think about it, the more I just want to drive further to the HEB on Pecan at 685. That HEB is cleaner and has a better 'vibe'. I feel sorry for anyone that this is the closest grocery store to them. I wish HEB didn't have a monopoly in the area and we had more choices. read more

This HEB is very unhelpful & rude to customers. I am a young lady, and i locked my keys in my car in their parking lot with all my things in there. I went inside used someones phone to call for help & to buy tools in there store to try & figure it out. As im outside trying to get in my car the security guard told me they saw me on camera and it looks like im breaking into a car. i told him well then go look at the cameras and watch me walk out of my car and buy tools from their store ! the women manager came out & accused me of breaking and entering in broad daylight in my own car and threaten me on getting APD involved. mind you they said it after i told them to look through my window see my keys on my seat, & i told them the whole story of what had happen. The women manager said " dont get involved with her ". Never once did they ask me if i needed help or assistance ! & i been coming here for 5 years & i personally will never shop at this HEB again ! read more

If I'm in a hurry and need to stop at the grocery store to pick something up, I inevitably end up here. This is not where I typically do my heavy duty shopping. I always forget what an awful selection they have here. I recently went in looking for fresh mozzarella in water, which I personally don't think is THAT weird of an ingredient, and they did not have it. According to the deli, they had just pulled that item recently. I get it. The demand for high end ingredients is not high at this story - you cater to what the main customers purchase. But that is why I visit the HEB on Parmer and 35. On the up side, their clearance rack is amazing. I find organic, high end ingredients there regularly for pennies. I guess, nice food being discontinued from their shelves ends up being a good thing for me. Sometimes. Unless I need some real parmesan cheese. The managers at this store are wonderful though. They always give my son a couple extra budd-e bucks and sometimes a little toy. They are always very friendly and helpful. read more

The pharmacy always has one cashier and a huge line, and of course the pharmacist can't be bothered to open the other register to help bring the line down. Well just this pass Thursday My wife was at the HEB drive thru pharmacy window. She was rang up by a pharmacy tech by the name of Jasmine S. She asked her how much was my prescription. She quoted to my wife that it was a little over ten dollars. My wife then asked her to check the Good RX app to see what the price savings would be. Jasmine replied she found it there on the app and that the price didn't change. It was still a little over ten dollars. My wife being the sweetheart she is just said ok and paid for it. Yes people the full price. When she returned home, and gave me the news. I said baby you know we looked it up before going there. And that the price was 7.59. She just didn't want to argue. So I'm sitting back and a few days later of having to drive back up to the HEB pharmacy to get my three dollars & 35 cents back. Like they was doing us a favor, and not wasting my gas and time going back up there. Doing this trying timings from this pandemic. I was just sitting back wondering how many others people out there that actually needed help from this app GoodRx that's designed to give people discounts on prescriptions had Jasmine , screwed over? It's a sad world we are living in today society, when someone scoops as low as Jasmine S. did to stop us from getting a discount that has nothing to do with the out come of her paycheck. Or do it? I've been shopping at this store in Pflugerville for a long time. God blessed me with a photographic memory , I remember the prices of all the items I pick up from the shelves. Almost every time I shop at this store, I get overcharged , and I have to spend extra time at the store trying to get my refund, it's so frustrating, especially with the Covid-19 . Sometimes the prices on the shelves are different from the prices on their system , or some of the cashiers are poorly trained ,or lazy to look up the correct code for the produce, so they end up over charging me. Also, sometimes their coupons don't work , or they are falsely advertised . On the other hand, some of the shift leaders are so lazy to help, or don't even care. Some of the employees at the customer service are obnoxious and rude . I brought up these issues many times with the store managers such as Javier and Garry, but it is still happening!!! So next time you go there , check your receipts for MISTAKES and OVERCHARGE . read more

I was in the store today, I walk the whole store. I got my items then got into the line and realized that I lost my debt card. (Freaking out, but I let the associate know that I would simply run home 3mins away and be right back) the front end manager SAM? The bigger white lady up front. She was the second person I came Into contact with and she didn't seem to care, made no eye contact, insensitive and rolled her eyes at me. I am also in management in a retail store and no way would I treat a customer like that. I was seriously only freaking out because of my debit card and the fact that she showed no sympathy for my situation. She was very unprofessional. When I came back from getting my card. I went up to SAM and asked where my basket was. She just pointed over there... so I found it then she decided to walk over and tell me to give that to the cashier and she'll check you out. Marisa my cashier at the business center was very nice. I just can't believe that Heb would hire unprofessional managers to represent the front end. That should be addressed. I understand what's going on at this time. Does it really make sense to let one person at a time in the store. The line is all the way to goodwill. That's a shame. The Heb are rude as hell. I had to leave a review because this store at the wells branch location went out of their way for me. I ordered curbside and was missing a few bags of groceries and was pretty upset about it. I called and the call center handled it with a refund on the items. That was good but this specific store called me the next day and went out of their way to personally deliver the missing bags (which their store doesn't normally deliver to my zip code, a different H‑E‑B does) and it made my day. This could have been a bad experience but they handled it so well and deserve 5 stars! read more

This is by far the most ghetto H-E-B I have ever been to in my life! And since Hurricane Harvey it's even worse! Their store is absolutely filthy and one time I even found hair in my pork tamales! They never have enough baggers and the managers aren't managing anything! Today when I went to use the ATM there was a guy who looked very suspicious using multiple debit cards to withdraw cash and kept looking over his shoulder, not one employee said anything, so I reported it to a employee and she just looked at me like I was crazy. The original Pflugerville H-E-B is a smallish store, with a traditional H-E-B layout. I go here often because it's the closest of three (3) H-E-B stores to me. It has a gas station too, like its sister stores on Parmer and I-35 and farther east off of FM685 in P'ville. Unless I need to get fancy goods, I'll shop here first. It's convenient to I-35 and FM1825 where the former Pflugerville Express stop was before P'ville voted out of CapMetro. read more

I usually go to this location and the one off Parmer/Mopac. But this particular day i stopped at this location. I was in line at the business center and i was 2nd in line. We waited seems like forever and the manager asked the two other customers behind me in Spanish and English if he can help them. He didn't acknowledge me at all. I made a comment to assure him that i'm next in line and he didn't bother follow up with em. He made a snarky, sarcastic comment and i told him he didn't have to be rude and sarcastic. We went back and forth and he walked off. Finally when it was my turn, the clerk apologized for the long wait and for her manager's comment. I didn't catch his name. The clerk should be in management position not him. He was very rude and unprofessional! i'm going to think twice to go back to this location and will tell my family members to go elsewhere as well. This location's lack several other things that i can bypass and can tolerate like expired food items that i bought, dead crawfish out of a bag, etc. But i cannot tolerate a manager that can deliberate ignore one customer and help another. I rather drive a little further to the Mopac/Parmer where management is much more polite and treat customers equal. Yes i wrote the same review at google and want to post the same here as well. I've been going to H-E-B for years and always have great customer service experience. Today I dealt with cashier Leslie and she was beyond rude and had a horrible attitude. I know it's 9 pm and you don't want to be at work but the way you talk to customers is disgusting and you need to work on your people skills. I live halfway between this HEB and the one over at Tech Ridge, and this one is my store of choice. My favorite thing about this store is that it's old -- not falling apart or filthy, just laid out in that traditional grocery store way instead of a maze of special aisles and gourmet sections. It's nice to be able to walk in, head straight to the right aisles, and get exactly what I need without a long search. I will say that parking here is a bit of a challenge, but that's simply because this is a pretty busy location. Be prepared to stop for the masses in the crosswalk before you drive down several lanes looking for a spot within walking distance. The placement of the gas pumps is also a bit of a downer, as they've taken up one end of the parking lot and made driving around it kind of awkward. But once that's out of the way, I'm in the door of a normal (not super, not organic, not specialty) grocery store, exactly like I want. Unlike some of the bigger, newer HEBs, this one doesn't have a big organic/healthy section, which is fine with me, since I'm generally shopping for lard, sugar, artificial colors that could never occur in nature, and maybe some nicotine. That's not to say I can't do some serious damage to my wallet at Wheatsville and Whole Foods, but when I'm shopping for standard groceries, I want the store-brand, not-too-fancy, not-premium-priced options, and this HEB has all of that. read more

This HEB has grocery bags, since it isn't in Austin. What it doesn't have is everything on your shopping list. They are ALWAYS out of stock on quite a few items. Usually staples too, unfortunately. I have found them out of all half and half and out of whole milk 1/2 gallons in the store name brand for example. Unfortunately, it's the norm more than the exception. Often the dates need to be watched on items you purchase too. I have found that half the time the bagged salads have brown edges, even though they're usually technically in date. So just watch what you buy here. read more

It's a cross between the HEB on N. Lamar and one of the upscale HEB's. It's trying to cater to an apparently sizable working class population while also offering 'nice' items. I am impressed. I don't get run over/run into by fellow customers when I am in this HEB. The store has items which were discontinued at my neighborhood HEB--in addition to the 'upscale' products. Cashiers are always happy, even in the early morning hours. Right now there is only one transit route to/from this store and it would be quite a walk to nearby apartments/houses. People would have to plan their routes to this place. It would not just be a location to 'drop in'. Getting here requires planning. read more

We moved into the neighborhood behind this heb about 18 months ago, we were excited to be close to a heb/grocery store in general but that initial excitement quickly died after our first few visits. This place is run down, dirty, disheveled, and always crowded. I've never been in an heb that's so disappointing, we've started trying to avoid it like the plague. I've also stopped going for "quick trips" - there is nothing quick about this location, in fact, I've never been in this heb and not waited in a long line. Even worse I think the employees get annoyed with the crowded store and in return take it out on customers, anytime I've asked for items or help I feel like I'm putting someone out or interrupting something life threatening. I thought maybe I was alone on this, because I know I can have high standards, but over time I've heard neighbors and co-workers refer to it as the "dirty heb", "the old heb", and worse. So sadly I figured out it wasn't just me, but just a location setting the bar low. read more

I was shocked at the Informality of the RX Associate today who said her name was "Destiny"-she ignored me-didnt say a word to me- presumed my name and what i was there for without telling me-then types on the computer while i stand there speechless not knowing whats going on..and all of a sudden she casually and sarcastically retorts "So you here for the (prescription drug name)"?1 She doesnt say my name-last ; first or other and talks to me like i m her BFF!!!! What the hell happend to customer service; treating customers professionally and calling them by their last name or "sir"..BAD Customer Service HEB-your RX manager needs to have a talk w this girl and remind her when shes behind the counter and we are on the other side-we are your Customers and you should speak and behave accordingly-don t leave us hanging there with no introduction; greeting or at least confirming our last name..(or at least -How are you sir? How may I help you?) RX MGR needs to talk to this girl and expain/remind her of the difference between talking to your fellow associates; and talking to a customer...and remind her what proper Customer Service sounds and looks like...I was Very Disappointed and almost borderline shock as no CSR in any capacity has ever talked like that to me. read more

I've been shopping at this heb for 10 years & today when I went by the pharmacy I got the rudest most unhelpful person that I've ever met. Honestly I've never had any issues & most the time the staff is most helpful. However NOT TODAY! One lady told me since they sold me the wrong meds & came back 15 min later when I realized it that not having my receipt wasn't a big deal. However the girl with the huge attitude thought otherwise. She asked me if I wanted cash back & I told her I wanted the money on my card & she said she couldn't do that which is a lie. So she had another lady come help me and I told her I wanted the money back on my card and then the RUDE lady actually started arguing with me about it... By then I was sooooo mad I could hardly think straight. The whole time she couldn't help me because she couldn't put the money on my card I could hear her sighing.
